Awesome accommodation ! The lighting at the Grill restaurant, Quarter Deck, was way way too bright,,,not a great ambience for dinner at 7pm. Although the meal was out of this world !

We stayed in Villa #1 for the first time, it is the last unit in the main beachfront complex (right next to the restaurant) and as far as we could tell it is one of only two smaller/studio type villas. There was a storage room in-between us and the next villa so staff from the restaurant were routinely coming/going. We didn’t mind this as all were friendly and the interactions offered some entertainment but others may not like this. This also meant that you have no attached neighbouring room which is a positive I’d say and there were no noise issues with respect to the restaurant that we encountered, just a little less view to your left. We’ve been to Quarterdeck multiple times now and each time I say it’s a bit pricy but then we keep going back so we must thinks it’s worth it.
I think a token offer for resort guests at the restaurant would perhaps make me feel like I’m winning, say 5% to 10% off your food bill if you charge the purchase to a room. The location is beautiful though, it’s a fun drive down from Halifax and the staff are great and that is what keeps us coming back. Could you spend less and go somewhere else? Definitely. But it’s a fun spot and it’s nice to have the beach, restaurant and other resort amenities all right there. Park the car and get to relaxing.

The room was perfect, wish i would have known about rooms with hot tubs and the indoor pool. The restaurant is gorgeous but the prices were high for what you get.

The hotel presents itself as a beachfront property when, in fact, only a small number of rooms are “on” the beach.
Also, the door lock was ripped of the door so all we had was the cheap handle lock. Felt a little nervous about that.

For the loft, the shower water was less than lukewarm. For cold nights, the heat cannot be turned on till Sep 15 due to heat pump programming.

Amazing property with great views! This resort has thought of everything. Comfortable beds and pillows, great views, very clean, excellent amenities including indoor and outdoor pool, movie theatre and more. Walk to Summerville Beach ranked number 2 in Nova Scotia. The Grill was fabulous 5 out of 5. We had 4 meals there all were exceptional and couldn’t have been better. Also with amazing views as it overhangs the beach. Will definitely be back to this lovely property.

We had an excellent stay, the rooms were great, the beds were comfy, the sound of the ocean was perfect. There is constructing happening to expand the resort, but other than an occasional backup beeping, it didn’t impede our stay and we barely noticed. The club house is a great space for rainy days, the outdoor pool was clean and temperature was warm.

It was OK. Our fridge kept us up all night last night because it kept beeping. When we checked in, they told us that it kept beeping. Just throw it out the door, but I thought they were kidding. The room had a good vibe, but the walls are thin.

Beautiful spacious clean room and food at the grill was amazing. Shoutout to Heidi at the grill for great service. Only thing is the front desk never answers, but does call back when you leave a message.

We loved the Grille, staff and food. We loved our room. Very clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view of the ocean.
Our only complaint, we were in the 3 story section facing the ocean on the 2nd floor. (219) and the person or persons occupying 319 were very heavy walkers. Stomping all day long. The rooms a small enough, I don't know where they were going, back and forth it seemed. It stopped before time for bed, but all day long. I did not complain to the front desk staff. It is very difficult to ask someone to change how they walk. We will definitely be back; but would be sure to ask for the lovely little rooms along the water with no one above. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

I would suggest that the over rated hype related to this place is directly related to its location on a beautiful beach. It includes a nice restaurant but is otherwise highly overrated for high priced accommodations and meals that are nothing extra. The room includes a well used love seat with dirty arms, an annoying gang of house flies and a leaky toilet. The power was out for several hours but we didn’t hear from anyone or see anyone other than a few unfriendly workers around the property upon departure. No housekeeping staff were visible. Our phone flashed red continuously but we were advised that it was malfunctioning and not messages. It is easy to be mislead by website room descriptions and locations and the restaurant appeared to be fully booked online so had to call several times. It wasn’t busy at all other than a booking of several people with reservations on the second floor who drew our waiter away. Disappointing.
