It has a dusty and musty smell, there are many humidity problems on the ceilings, it is not a good environment. It is full of many personal items everywhere and everything looks very messy. The hostess had a bad attitude when I arrived, my flight was delayed, I notified her through Expedia. The entrance is uncomfortable, if it rains you get wet opening and closing the padlock. Does not accept credit cards. Dirty carpets, dangerous desk chair in poor condition. $20 per day additional and in cash to use the a/c and it doesn't cool well, it has a bad smell. It has a lot of rules, you even have to take out the trash.

The website was misleading/deceptive. I would strongly recommend not staying at this facility.

Wasn’t too bad; just sucked that I didn’t do any further research in regards to how far it was from everything. I was under the impression that I could be able to walk around. Definitely need a taxi. But besides from that, it was cool.

The apartment is located in a private house located in a nice area and quiet of Bridgetown. The house is very near both the major freeway and the downtown. The place has a private entrance and everything needed for a quiet and relaxing stay.

A fantastic time surely to be repeated! We were looking for a nice place to stay in Barbados, outside of a resort experience, to learn more about the culture, the people. The Barbados CHI Centre was just that! The cottage-like house is situated in the middle of a magnificent garden (some times the man looking after it may be around an give you a tour, thanks Box!) in a quiet cul-de-sac, and only a 30-min walk to the city, 5 to a busy road where minivans and buses stop. We used it as our headquarters while visiting Bridgetown. For us, having also the opportunity of interacting with the hosts, Ellen and Christian, was what made our stay supreme! They went above and beyond in making sure our stay was great, and they definitely did. We felt really welcomed and definitely come back if we are in the area.

A very unique setting , very different to where I would normally stay. But unique turned out to be extremely rewarding . Very quiet and naturistic settings in an old elegantly put together house. Its like a plantation house with lots of space .The owner closes the deal for me . Christy was extremely friendly and helpful , always willing to get anything that is needed . Chi Center is away from the beaten path but well within reach of downtown Bridgetown. Its the gem waiting to be discovered

For me with a damaged ankle i had to pay for a taxi to get me home every night. A bit hippie but Chrisy would help as much she can. Ran out of toilet roll. Overall the next time i go i would get a place closer to the beach

It was good. Just needed a play to rest my head while away for a couple of days. Everything from the hotel to staff was just wonderful.

The Chi Centre is a private Guest house. Palmeto apartment is in fact a room. There is no ensuite bathroom but an adjoining bathroom that you access by stepping outside. Privacy limited. Room cleanliness required work. Kitchen is shared with other guests and not very clean-musty smell. Furnishing etc requires some maintenance or replacement. Very low ceiling. Persons sensitive to this, will find the room suffocating. Many amenities excluded. Whatever is provided is at a separate cost eg use of Air Conditioning. Disappointing stay. Misleading, Money Oriented, Rust inside Kittle, mold smell, poor to no housekeeping, unkempt garden and very questionable host are some of the words that canvas my stay at the CHI Center. Its all about the money there (pay as you go) for example Changing of bed sheets and laundry is done once a week or it is overpriced plus prepaid & towel never gets changed.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Airy and comfortable with just fans.Clean and neat as a button. Management and staff were very helpful when needed.

Christy's house is a haven of alternative living away from the beach resort world. Homely furnishings and an abundance of plants give an artistic, bohemian ambience. Christy will meet you at the airport and is on hand to organise trips, services, taxis etc and her breakfasts are delicious - fresh, and prepared with fruits from the expansive grounds around her house. Otherwise, a self-contained kitchen has amenities to prepare your own food. No air-conditioning but the trade-off is a tranquil location where the only disruption at night will be the noise of the crickets and frogs as you sway in a hammock watching the night flies.
