would be lovely to have been able to have breakfast at the hotel. Your recommendation of the breakfast venue being the General Store was amazing

There is nothing not to like about this venue. In summer the rooftop bar would be fantastic

Location

No reception cover after 5 pm. No night staff , restaurant or bar .

Fantastic pillows and the size of the towels were good. Spa bath was good size and general cleanliness was acceptable. Tea and Coffee facilities were provided as was a decent size fridge. Overall just a couple of small things to make it better but I would happily stay here again.

It took me a while to locate the tea and coffee as they were located in the TV cabinet to which I had to get on my hands and knees to get items out of the cupboard. It would be better if there was a shelf or stage area over the top of the fridge where this could be stored and seen easily as when traveling a cuppa is one of the first things you want. No breakfast provided and a long weekend with not many shops open. Perhaps a toaster or cereal bowls provided so one can make their own. had to sleep with aircon on as no vented area for air. A fan would be good to help circulate the stale air. We could hear the upstairs toilets flushing as it sounded like it was our toilet. (sound proofing might help although it is an old building) Cleaning of the bathroom tiles along the top could be down as there was dust gathered and hanging off them easy to see from the naked eye.

Location to all attractions, we had a balcony room which had a great outlook ,rooms a good size and very clean

Well situated in a beautiful old building that had been renovated to maintain original features. Clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff.

We would have liked to open a window for fresh air. Our room was located on the ground floor with the street bar restaurant right outside our window - the wait staff used the area outside our door to stack plates, store glassware and cutlery which made for a noisy evening.

From the moment we walked, we were greeted with great service and were surprized by the beauty of this grand 100 yr old plus hotel, the room was beautiful and and clean and the bed was very comfy. The hotel has many areas where you can find your own place to chill, including the roof top bar that gives you virtually 360 degree views of the surrounding water ways, where we watched the fire works on new yrs eve. You couldn't ask for a better location as it was on the main street with lots of all day parking surrounding the hotel. A short 5min walk gets you to the beach with lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from at your door step. The hotel is quite amazing with it's period style still intact, so you feel like you are walking back in time. Kate the owner and her staff were great to deal with, and gave us a 5 star experience. Can't wait to go back for another stay. Keep in mind that there is no elevator in the building, so the higher the room, the more stairs you need to walk, but well worth extra steps.
