The property is pretty clean. The mattress looked new. All the surfaces had been cleaned.

There needs to be updated furniture. Some of it is torn up. Our tv didn’t work, but after unplugging and replugging the power it worked fine.

Location was great & staff was very accommodating. Bed was very comfortable.

People in room above me were very loud & kept me up till 1:00 am on Friday night!!! The bathroom stool lid needs replaced! It is very scratched & stained!! Sheets on bed were stained.

The only thing was the price and that was too much.

The carpet in the room was soaked from the air conditioner. They had a towel rolled up and under it help absorb the moisture but that didn’t work. The window was open when we walked in, we closed it and the room started smelling musty. Additionally, I feel like is a place that rents to locals. There was a guy screaming, “I’ve been here for months and I’m not putting up with this!” Totally would have went somewhere else if I could have gotten a refund.

The only answer I can give to this question would be that nothing about this hotel would EVER make me want to go back here or stay again.

The staff was NOT friendly. The lady who checked us in took our payment and then began to do more math on her phone telling us that she did it wrong and we still owed more money. When I reserved the room on Booking, I was told that the price included ALL TAXES AND FEES. The hotel added their own taxes on top of what Booking had priced the room at. We did pay the extra pet fee, which we did not mind and perfectly understood them charging. When my husband requested that we be given our money back and we would find other accommodations, the gentleman working in the office with her stepped in and they told us not to worry about the extra money we were told we owed AFTER we had already paid. When we arrived in the room, there were stains on the sheet and the mattress cover. The exterior door that was just a couple of doors down from our room was broken and did not securely shut. The lock nor the key pad on the door worked. There was a sign on the door saying not an entrance, which clearly people were not reading as they were entering and exiting the hotel from that door. This is definitely a safety issue and should have been fixed. The message we received also said anyone smoking at the exterior doors would be fined $150, yet each time we arrived back at the hotel during our stay, there were people smoking at BOTH doors in the front of the hotel. We were told that the $50 deposit we replaced on the room would be returned to our checking account, however, they only returned $13.71 to our account. We did no damage to the room and with the situation upon check in, my husband photographed and videoed the room to ensure we would not be scammed out of our money, but obviously that is exactly what this hotel does. I am VERY SAD to say that we chose Microtel for our 19th wedding anniversary due to the fact that we stayed with Microtel 19 years ago when we got married, however this Microtel made it VERY clear that they have gone very far downhill in 19 years!
