Everything was better then the pictures show, amazing and cozy place to stay! The hosts are sweet and helpful, and make the best welcome cookies we ever had!

the apartment was looking much better and not outdated comparing to the pictures.Actually it has more smart things than we have at home. There were a lot of games to play in case of rainy weather ( darts, boardgames and more) Also a nice homecinema! It just feels like home! The kitchen is also very well equipped. You can easily stay for a week at this place

you need a car to go to a restaurant or grocery store, so if you intend to cook, shop in advance in Powel River

We absolutely love this place. Amazing furnishing, piano, fire place, kitchen, board games, lighting... Super nice hosts. Really tasty cookies were waiting for us on check in. Beautiful beach nearby. Second time there and we are looking forward to going back again.

Grant and Marg were fantastic hosts and the suite is beautiful and new

Studio One, as many others have noted, is very well equipped. Lots of pots and pans in a full galley-type kitchen. There is a full stove, a microwave and a decent size fridge. Very comfortable bed and pillows. It’s spacious for a studio and cool, probably the most important asset. Again as other reviewers have mentioned the shower is fabulous. Great location, close to Pebble Beach, Saltery Bay Park and Powell River, with its fabulous Historic Townsite; it’s certainly a beautiful area. Oh and the wifi was excellent. That’s important, as you can’t get service in some spots. Finally the hosts were very kind.

Well that’s a difficult one to answer, but upon reflection, the towels in the bathroom took a while to dry.There were lots of towels, but we didn’t want to use new ones, as we were only there for three nights. And if I wanted to be really picky, maybe a bigger patio table outside. The one there is pretty high tech but we didn’t use that aspect.

Everything! The suite had everything we could possibly need. It was beautiful and so cozy. There was jazz music playing when we arrived and a relaxing aroma therapy scent filled the air. We also were greeted with delicious cookies. There is even a piano! They had amazing entertainment for everyone in the family-games, foosball, darts, hockey table, and ping pong. The kitchen was fully stocked with all necessary cooking ware.

This was a short stay between housesits. Grant met us in the driveway and explained the door code. He offered to give us a half-dozen eggs from their chickens. The place is an ell-shaped studio apartment in the basement of their house. Very warm, comfortable, and clean, everything we needed for a five-day stay. Comfortable chairs. Big TV. Even a piano. Full-size kitchen appliances, even a dishwasher. Grant and Marg are salt-of-the-earth people. Kind and considerate. And they gave us a full dozen eggs.

This is a lovely basement studio, well presented with everything to make a very comfortable stay. Grant took great care to talk us through all the nuances of lighting switches, TV controls etc. Marg and Grant are very welcoming hosts.

We were very happy with everything in the property.

Grant, the host, was wonderfully helpful, made us feel very welcome and provided a wealth of knowledge for the area. The space has everything you could think of including a full kitchen and amazing array of board games. It even has a table tennis table and table football! There is a gorgeous beach a stone’s throw from the property. The space itself looks nicer than the photos.

The owners have thought of everything and explained how to work everything upon arrival. Very kind and thoughtful Bonus: Cookies were delicious

The remote controls for TV and fire place were confusing.

The whole setup ... It was convenient, organized and welcoming ... If I was a single person looking for a place to live, I'd rent it year round... That's how well it was setup ... It was really well thought out in setting up for guests ... No stone was left unturned ... With rainy downpour days, there were plenty of games (& I mean alot) & books to keep us occupied until the rain went away. I must say, the photos of the games provided did not clearly show ... They were better than the photos. Grant & Marg we're great hosts. Thanks for a great stay.

Nothing I could think of ... I'd be grasping at straws if I needed to find something ... And we looked at everything! Except ... no pool, so go to the beach, no sauna, so stand in the hot shower, no gym so go hiking on the sunshine coast trails ... There, now I found something ... LOL.

The place is roomy and well stocked with supplies. The deco all over the place is like the one you see from HGTV show. The host has a good taste.

Where to start... we loved every minute of our stay here. We were warmly welcomed by Grant and Marg with some very tasty homemade cookies. They took the time to tell us where to go, what to see in the area and where to eat. The place itself is fantastic. We can feel that a lot of effort has been put into every detail : the lights, fire place, piano, TV /music, kitchen, bathroom with lovely heated floor, very comfy and big bed with beautiful wooden furniture. In many ways Grant and Marg went beyond our expectations and made us feel part of beautiful BC. We look forward to coming back !! Thank you for this amazing stay !

The attention to detail in the suite was excellent. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. The location was perfect for our needs.

So having to work hard to think of something. The towels are lovely and thick and as there isn’t a direct heat source in the bathroom they don’t dry. Perhaps a heated towel bar; though I’m not sure there is room. Some egg cups for boiled eggs? Like I said I’m really scratching around to think of something

The effort that went into all the details in the room was exceptional. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to stay again.

The location is perfect, very quiet, but yet close to everything. Very clean and well appointed. Our hosts put so much thought into the planning of the suite, it had everything we needed and more.

It's a lower floor room, so feels a bit basement-like. If you don't like that feeling, then it might not suit your taste. But the lighting totally compensates for it and we were very comfortable.
