The staff here was super friendly and helpful. Everyone was wonderful to us from the housekeepers to front desk and even the men that drove the airport transport

When we arrived, we were informed of the $20 per day parking fee. That is tacky, and should be included upfront in the total price. I have not seen this undisclosed add on at a hotel before. Disappointing way begin our stay, with a sour note!

No body lotion though, so I had to buy my own. Upon check-in no one informed me I had to let them know I wanted my room cleaned. So after a long day out fir business, I came back to an uncleaned room. Not what I expect for a hotel catering to those on business.

Good price for the installation and close to the subway.

40 min to 1 hr away from downtown taking the subway.

Breakfast was typical for a Hampton Inn - substantial, a range of options including eggs and either pancakes or waffles. Dining area was comfortable, spacious, and pretty clean. Room was comfortable, HVAC worked and was easily controlled. Location was very easy for airport access (a few minutes drive/shuttle), and pretty straightforward for getting into downtown Chicago on the commuter rail. I wasn't able to get a late checkout time, but the public areas of the hotel have lots of seating and some places to work/plug in, so I was relatively comfortable for the time I was there before taking the free airport shuttle (which was quick and on time.) There are a couple restaurants and a 7-11 convenience store within a very short walk of the hotel. More shopping, restaurants, and a movie theater about 15 minutes walk away, surrounding the train station that runs straight into downtown Chicago.

AC was noisy -- like the sound of a big box fan running on high in the wall. I ended up turning the A/C off at night just to not be awakened by it turning on and off. Location is convenient, but a bit industrial -- wide road difficult to cross, and not much in terms of trees or green areas or pedestrian-friendly zones. It's really designed for people with cars.

Shuttle bus service from airport was bad. The bus was way too small to serve 2 hotels, meaning guests had to wait an hour or more at the airport curb, while all other hotels in the area had larger buses and no similar problem. Breakfast was fine, but we were very disappointed to find that single-use plastic forks, knives and spoons are being used.

The check in process had some issues

i went down to the hot tub and there was a large group of kids all screaming and having chicken fights. I was glad they were having fun but the level of noise should of been monitored by the hotel. I got out and left the pool.

This was our 4th visit to this very comfortable hotel. Lovely staff , excellent breakfast and spotlessly clean.
