Been going to lava hot springs a couple times a year for 30+yrs. In all those years I have stayed at two other locations in town. Lava spa motel is the cleanest, most convenient motel, and we try to make it our spot. My only complaint is they are beginning to out price themselves. I realize lodging prices go up, but if this motel continues then we will find alternatives.

Bed was great. Very pet friendly. Staff was very nice.

Very run down motel, no plug ins in the bathroom. Tub was yucky, didn’t want to walk on floor in bare feet.

the staff is always very helpful, beds are comfy, and can't beat being right across the street from the hot springs. love his little town, so nice to walk around and feel super safe. we will visit again. love this place.

The location was great for the nearby pools. The bed was comfortable and clean.

The parking was okay, but the snow could have been removed from the parking lot to give room for more parrking. However the sidewalks were cleaned off so we didn't have to walk on ice. Walls were thin in the motel and we could hear our neighbors tv and plumbing

Not updated inside. I felt like I overpaid for the quality of the room and the amenities, for that time of year.

Torn, dirty carpet, no nightstands, no headboard, no closet or hooks for coats, no towel rack, no coffee maker, no heat in bathroom, cracked wall plaster, remotes for heater and tv don't work, chairs falling apart. One bed was miserable and no pillowcase on a pillow I had to use. Snow wasn't cleared, no ice melt, icicles hanging dangerously from roof in front of the doors. Not enough and cramped parking. Office reeked of smoke and owner rude. Sidewalk in front of motel not cleared of snow. The guest next door was vomiting in front of our door in the morning. Miserable place. We used to stay here years ago and it was decent but it changed ownership and has gone to a dump.
