It looked super cute from all the pictures

Well we checked in and our room code didn’t work. I went to the office to see about getting it fixed. Apparently it was a known issue but wasn’t disclosed until after I couldn’t get in. The guy who checked me in asked for all my info again, wrote it down Then just got up and walked away and didn’t say anything. A lady walked in who I assume owns the place or is the manager. the guy briefly told her what was going on and left to go bring someone towels. She went on about doing whatever she came in to do and just left us standing there before coming back to the front asking if there was something she could help us with. Very very strange. There was no parking even though we were required to have a parking pass and tons of cars were parked without a pass. When we finally got up to the room, it was extremely dusty and the shower would randomly shoot out scalding hot water. Check out was at 11am and they mean you better be out by 10.59am because they walked into our room at 11am as we were gathering our stuff. It’s crazy that I spent $400 for one night, not even 24hrs and all of this happened. I never complain about places, ever. But this was shocking.

Room was very dusty (counter tops) finger prints on glass from previous tenants. Asked kindly for it to be cleaned. Gals up front were very nice, but cleaners just mopped the floor instead of addressing issues we had with room. Also paid for an ocean view. I guess we technically could see the ocean, but wouldn’t classify it as an ocean view.

OMGoodness! Everything about The Tides was fantastic! What a charming place. If a room is available don’t pass it up! A very interesting concept. Each unit is individually owned so the decor is personal. We stayed two nights in a studio w/queen bed(very comfy). The room had a partial ocean view that was perfect as we sat at a high top table and enjoyed the view with our morning coffee! The most efficient tiny kitchen with a two burner cook top, sink, coffee maker and all the dishes, pots & pans, glasses, cups and dishes for four people. A small refrigerator had room for plenty of food and beverage . There was a futon that could be used for extra sleeping. We would recommend this room for a couple (with up to two small children). We met several of the staff and they were all friendly and so helpful.

I can think of nothing negative to say, we were so happy here!

The view and beach access were amazing!

The WiFi was horrible. There were two chairs located at the window. When we sat in them, our butts were lower than our knees, very hard to get out of them. The kitchen needs a major upgrade including adding a freezer in the fridge.

When we arrived we saw beds not done (bed sheets pillow etc. still messy), trash not taken, dishwasher not run. It was late 10:00pm+, and staffs were not able to help much.

We had two cottages both were very clean and comfortable. We were so close to the water and great food options. The staff was so sweet and great. My family and I loved everything about our time there and will be back!
