I like that it was in front of the beach
I didn’t like that I had to be calling over and over again about the reports I had made when we first got there.

The ocean view. Close to restaurants and pier. It had a Roku. It had games. Big rooms.
The refrigerator was leaking water all over the kitchen floor, which no one came to fix. The dinning room lights didn’t work. The main bathroom light was out. Not enough toilet paper. Hot and cold water indicator was reversed. Only one elevator was working. Not enough towels.

Location
No balcony chairs, balcony doors wouldn’t hardly open, room was not the cleanest, only 1 glass to drink out of- had to use coffee cups, and our doorknob locked us out(broke), and had to be replaced. We have stayed at Casa Del Mar many times over the years and never had a unit in such terrible condition. We are booked to go back next month, and if I really wish it would be not in “the Seaside”.

Beach front
Our balcony door was broken so we couldn’t access balcony. No chairs on balcony. Rug had a nail sticking up. Pillows were flat. Sofa bed has a thin piece of foam not for sleeping. It’s a mattress topper. Fridge was broken all our food spoiled

I canceled this booking on friday with the person at the front desk and with Vacasa over the phone at the same time and was told I would get a full refund because the air conditioner did not work, the refrigerator was leaking water onto the floor, the furniture had what appears to be mold on it, the bed was not even made, and the entire room smelled very bad. Then the next day Vacasa calls me to say I have to cancel on booking.com and their website would not let the cancelation go thru and says the refund is up to the property manager. I need someone who can do something about this asap. I booked another room directly with Casa Del Mar beachfront and their room was 100% better.

The location and the balcony
The shower head was not clean, The bathroom sink wasn’t clean.. The shower curtain was dirty. The floor made noise when you walk on it.

It really need to be undated
Dirty linen outside door, balcony door didn't lock ,.. hard to open, rusty appliances very first one that I had that was this bad and I visit at least 4 times a year

The chemical smell was so bad. The bed was not good. There was a broken chair on top of a water heater. The carpet was old and frayed. The plumbing was old and corroded. The whole place needed a makeover 10 years ago.
These Vacasa people insist I pay for the entire stay booked even though I stayed just one sleepless night. They are unreasonable to deal with and unethical.

7. kitchen had disgusting yukky stuff on wall beside stove.
8. bunk beds are about 18 inches wide, definitely only for young kids!!!!
9. Had 6 people, had only 6 towels, they never changed them out

I did not like anything about 113!! This unit does NOT need to be rented until renovated!!! I should have listened to the other reviews but since they were from 2022 I though surly the place would be better since it is 2024. No, the flooring feels like you are going to fall thru the floor at any given time, same on balcony with no chairs and a ratty little table that looks like its going to break at any second. Next, went to take a shower and the handle feel off right in the tub! Nasty hairbush left in drawer, no bedding on queen bed, severe water damage in all celiings, looks like they tried to cover it up with some stick on tile which is coming off, under sink in bath, looks like a thing to catch mice - GROSS!! Toilet seat broken, no toilet paper roll. When I got up to go to the bathroom two pictures on wall fell on us in bed!!!!!!!! this place is horrible. Why did I not report it? We were so upset we left on Saturday AM. Lost out on the second night but the place was so bad we had to leave. Could not shower, felt unsafe. I can promise you this place would fail an inspection. We were told unit was non-refundable so what could they have done remaster the entire unit in one day? I seriously doubt it. Finally, the pics online at booking.com has completely different pics! Another lie!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO GALVESTON OR CASA DEL MAR AS LONG AS I LIVE. DO NOT GO HERE, THE ENTIRE PLACE IS BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Location was good. The fact that it was right off of the seawall really helped.
There were gnats flying around throughout the apartment.
The electrical outlet in the kitchen was missing the cover so wires were exposed.

We have stayed here a couple times before as we love the location and ability to see the water. Rome decor was nice.
Our experience was a little challenging this time as we were in a private unit #388. The floor had vinyl strips that were peeling, and we had dirty comforters that could not be used or changed due to being a private unit.

How close it was to the beach.
We didn’t have a kitchen sink. It was clogged up and not attached to counter which made us not be able to cook and spend more money. There was a repair man in our room when we arrived at 4pm. He left never came back. I called casa de l mar and they stated that the room 237 was privately owned and they could do nothing about it.

Location was the only good thing, but it wasn't enough to stay and keep the reservation.
Everything. The whole unit needs work. It's clear they don't keep up with any of the problems reported. The balcony door did not lock or even close completely, therefore the unit never cools down enough. The kitchen sink was just laying on the pipes below. The carpet was extremely worn and exposed the nail/spike strip near the kitchen. The furniture was about to fall apart. The refrigerator seal was so worn it wouldn't properly close so nothing in the fridge can keep the temperature it's supposed to. There were pets in the room at some point even though it says no pet unit. The carpet smelled of urine. We couldn't even stay one night. After two hours we requested a refund and left trying to find somewhere else to stay last minute. I called immediately after checking in to report the balcony door issue (which in their CONTRACT states you are responsible for any theft, lock the doors, etc. It's hard to do that when the door won't lock) they said somebody would come out to fix it. I call back after an hour and that person said "oh nobody's coming from maintenance it's after hours" .... So at that point we aren't staying there. It's not safe. It was a horrible experience and ruined our first day of vacation. Then the person I chatted with online from Vacasa told me to "calm down" when it wasn't warranted. The ONLY upside is they agreed I would get a full refund, and the local manager for Vacasa was helpful.

The range only 2 burner works and with 3 kids this is a big deal
We stay 5 nights and 4 completely days and they only give us 4 towels for 6 people family and no extra pillows or blanquets, the sofa bed have some visible wires.. they don't have quarters machine for the laundry machine and in the office don't want to give us change .. honestly this ruin little bit our vacations...

Stove burner was broke. The microwave didn't work. Tv in the bedroom wasn't smart tv and didn't have cable, so just static screen. There is no large pot to cook in at all. The kitchen chair was glued together, and when sat in, it fell apart. Balcony plastic chairs where broken too. definitely needs repairs. And it smelt bad when we walked in.

The pool was fantastic. Loved the location. Friendly staff and guest. Very clean and the elevators were a life saver. The property itself is well managed and the staff are very helpful. I will definitely consider this option on my next visit with Grandkids.
Our particular unit 113 was fine as far as size and comfort. However we could never get the main TV to work. It came on but wouldn’t connect to any service or internet. Also, we had plenty of things to cook in the microwave but it didn’t work. There also were no linens for the pull out sofa. The check in situation could’ve been better. We had a hard time figuring out how to get our code for the key and had to call owner.

There was no breakfast
Was expect[ng a handicap room because I called 3 times to verify my friend could barely get in the door and down the hall could not get in the bathroom. There was a water leak from the air-condition in the bath ceiling when we arrived on Sunday I called 7 times it was finally fixed on Tuesday after all the towels were soaked and the toilet paper. I called 4 times and even spoke to a person who worked on the grounds finally had to go buy towels ,wash clothes and toilet paper. Very disappointed in the non-service, the size of the room, not handicap accommodations and the high price for no cervices.

Good location
AC is not working, we ended up stay 1 day instead of 2 due to AC issue. There is also the parking issue. The website didn't mention about the parking fee. It costs $43 per vehicle for the parking fee even though it said "parking is paid for on the finalize message". The host is contacted but didn't reply after the AC and parking issues.
