Great hotel on the campus of Autonoma University. Breakfast is basic, but good. There is a nice terrace and conservatory for eating and having coffee. Spacious room/studio, very nice staff, but most speak very little English. Travel time to the city centre (Sol station) approximately 30 minutes. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Another wing of the building is a student hall, which you can hear sometimes. You can log on to the free wifi for two hours at a time, or pay extra for better wifi.

There were a few things listed on the Residencia Universitaria Erasmo's Booking listing that I ultimately found misleading or confusing. The site says booking can be canceled hastle-free with 24-hour notice. However, it does not make clear the policy for canceling the remaining days on a reservation once already staying there if I stay needs to be shortened. I wanted to cancel just a few days at the end of my long reservation (which while a slightly odd request, is something I know many hotels can and do accommodate). When I went to ask if this was possible early Saturday morning, the woman working there did not speak English and she informed me that anything related to bookings or cancelations had to be addressed when the other staff members who were there 9-5 M-F. The woman was very kind, patient with my broken Spanish, and did her best but it sure seems misleading to advertise both a 24-hour desk and bilingual staff whenever this wasn't avalible. Once I was able to speak with the others Monday morning, they seemed confused by the request and ultimately told me there was nothing they could do, and there was nobody else I could speak to about the matter. Had I been able to fix the situation 48-hours sooner, I might have been able to plan the rest of my trip more easily and it wouldn't have interrupted my work schedule or delayed my ability to file my expense reports so drastically. I understand the cancelation policy might not be as generous as I would have liked. My trip had a volatile schedule, so that is in no way the fault of the Residencia. I don't take issue with that. However, having to wait so long for clarity with no avenue to request help was a big hassle that interrupted my work. I think the Residencia should modify their Booking.com listing to better reflect what services they actually can offer and when they can offer them. It is not fair for the University (or whoever handles the listing) to put the staff in that position.
