This is a lovely little house with wonderful views over the River Arun and in easy walking distance of some lovely restaurants, the seafront and other amenities and attractions. An excellent base for our relaxing weekend break.

Lovely place with a cracking view, will stay again!

Great communication before and after stay. The location was brilliant with plenty to see and do during our break. The house was very clean throughout. The best bit for us was watching the swans, turnstones and kingfisher from the bottom of the garden. We also managed to fit in some crabbing, great fun without going out Would definitely stay here again.

My husband, two sons and my eldest son’s partner had a really wonderful long weekend in this super house! The location by the river is perfect- we could have sat on the patio all day watching the boats going by. It’s a very short, interesting walk to all the shops, cafes, restaurants that you could possibly need. The local people were very friendly and we chatted to neighbours. Our hosts were very helpful giving us lots of information about the area and help with travel suggestions- we were caught up in the train strikes and had to drive from Edinburgh. All in all a really relaxing and happy wee break- we would love to come back

VRBO need to list clearly pricing. If listed to sleep 5 and 5 to visit I did not understand a charge for an extra person.

A lovely house in a great location with parking directly in front. Cosy, warm and comfortable and well equipped. Lovely views from the rear terrace, and very relaxing to sit and watch river life go by. The views from the lovely master bedroom are beautiful. An easy, flat walk along the river into town, which is perfect for those who aren't as fit as they used to be! Would definitely stay again. The only negative is the limited WIFI provision. We didn't attempt to use it as were nervous of the cost if we exceeded the data allowance. I think these days there an expectation of decent WIFI, as a lot of people need to stay connected even when on a holiday. Apart from that it was super, thank you

Very good, lovely accommodation

comfortable and clean everything you need is there this is just a personal thing our own fault for not realising but my wife had difficulty with the stairs as she is 82 and has a problem with walking ,nothing to do with our wonderful hosts barney and valerie .we managed anyway .we were very close to many things good shopping in bognor ,the children loved arundel castle and brighton sea life ,if you are watching the pennies a good place to eat is witherspoons is very reasonable under 40 pounds for 5 of us ,if we were going on holiday again i would definatly go with vrbo .but i think we need to go where its easy access for my wife with entertainment included so we are recommending vrbo to our friends and family for their future holidays thanks once again to valerie and barney lovely people

A lovely home from home complete with stunning views of the River Arun. Close to shops and beach (we didn’t need to use our car at all). All amenities provided and an easy stay. Friendly neighbours, who are very helpful. The beds in the “kids’” rooms are memory foam mattresses and comfortable. The bed in the main bedroom could do with an upgrade. Visitors would benefit from more than the 1GB internet that is provided.

Wonderful weekend staying at Riverside. Clean and welcoming property with helpful communication from the owners! We felt relaxed from arrival and enjoyed exploring the area. Great walks, lovely places to eat, comfy beds made for a lovely break

The property is situated directly on the bank of the river Arun and it was such a shame that we didn't have the weather to sit outside and enjoy the view. Very close to the shops and station. Delicious fish & chips from Freds.

Fabulous house with off road parking a bonus. Everything so easy to walk to and a lovely little town. Views from house brilliant so relaxing right by the water. Will definitely stay again. Great also for families as ensuite and bathroom.

Had a great time, comfortable spacious house with excellent views in a great location. Would have been nice to get milk, tea and coffee etc. at this price point but that would not put me off staying here again or recommending it…that could have been down to covid anyway.

A lovely, cosy house right on the river. We had a great seaside holiday. The house is close to everything, from the beach to the town centre and pubs. Recommended!

We had a fantastic short-break at this lovely property. It is situated in an ideal spot, clean, tidy, bed lovely and comfortable, couldn't fault it. Great communication from Valerie and Barnaby (the owners), will definitely be booking to stay again!!

We had a fantastic time at the house and even extended our stay by another day to make the most of the beautiful view of the River Arun from the bottom of the garden! The place is homely and clean. The owners responded to any issues we had immediately, and communication was great at all times. It was lovely being able to walk to the seafront and not need the car, and the kids loved Harbour Park. Would definitely recommend the location and the photos don’t do it justice!

As before, the property was a joy to stay in. Nicely furnished rooms, comfortable beds all with wardrobes, well fitted kitchen and clean bathrooms and cloakroom. Also a great terrace with plenty of seating, overlooking the river. And the view is amazing. Very happy with it.

We all wanted to stay longer! It was a real home from home with the added bonus of overlooking the river. Perfect location for a peaceful stay with a good paved walk along the river to the beach which was excellent for the wheelchair with places en route to stop for a coffee.

This house is in a great location. We hardly used our car as you can walk to everything including the high street shops, supermarket, pubs, restaurants, beaches and train station. It is lovely and peaceful to sit in the garden watching the river go by. The house had everything we needed and Barnaby and Valerie were great hosts.

On the river Arun, you hardly need use your car. Walking to the sea and some great little local restaurant’s. 10 minutes along the path overlooking the boats. Recommend The Gravy Boat & The Arun View pub. Great food, with views. The property is nicely laid out, with such a peaceful outlook. A little gem of a place you’ll feel totally at home in.

We were so ready for this 8 day break, after lockdown in our London flat! The house had absolutely everything - very well equipped kitchen even with 2 veg steamers - and that's how we do our vegies! Our son and friend only joined us for one night which was a shame, but we simply loved the river, and crawled down to the platform a couple of times - we didn't bother going to any pubs, even the Arun View up the river - because sitting with a glass of wine in the garden with the beautiful summer sunset across the river, was all we could ever wish for! The bedroom was amazingly huge, and the views of the fishermen, boat sheds and river activities were wonderful - even twice waking in the middle of the night to watch a huge-ish ship being piloted up the river past us - very exciting! We had 4 swims in the sea at West Beach and past Rustington, and lots of wonderful bike rides - to Worthing one way and Bognor the other. We also walked to Bognor one hot day, along the coast. Our very favourite cafe was West Beach Cafe - sitting outside with delicious cappucino almost every morning. One day we had their squid with real chilli and home-made chips - wonderful! All in all, a very pleasant and fun summer holiday in the UK, and thanks for the great communication and your help Valerie - hugely appreciated.
