Our holiday in Monkey hill was simply amazing. Natalie was an extraordinary host and made our planning process extremely easy; however, the best assets from this property are Sonia and Nikita....I would have taken both home if I was given the chance. The level of service, the quality of the food and the never-ending smiles are worth paying for. About the property, this house is well distributed and have plenty of space for a big group to feel close but intimate at the same time. Be aware that Monkey Hill has an amazing view of the ocean and is secluded by nature, including small monkeys that run freely in the surrounding area. I would recommend this property and team to anyone looking for a high-class experience. We will miss it deeply.

Monkey Hill was the most wonderful villa, the pictures don’t do justice to how fantastic it was. We are an extended family of 15, ranging in age from 4 months to 70 years old and our time at Monkey Hill exceeded all of our expectations. The beautiful grounds, gorgeous infinity pool, monkeys galore, beautiful terrace with plenty of loungers, couches ,fire pit are just a few of the over the top amenities While all of this was fantastic, what really made our stay so enjoyable were our housekeeper Sonia and chef Nikita. There are not enough superlatives to describe how thoughtful, kind, efficient and wonderful they both were. We felt so welcomed and taken care of, like a family returning home. The food was superb and freshly laundered clothes was a definite pleasure to have each day. Sonia made sure all our needs were met and then some!Our children and grandchildren will be talking about this once in a lifetime trip for years to come. Five stars is definitely not enough to rate our experience. We look forward to returning to this beautiful island and especially Monkey Hill Fondly, Judi and Greg, celebrating our seventieth birthdays

We love Monkey Hill! The house is stunning and the location is perfect! Making the vacation even better were the women at the house, Nikita and Sonia made everything so easy for us,.so festive! They were lovely to.our family and treated us as their own Natalie was super great, easy to communicate with, very responsive and extremely helpful. We can't edit to return!

We stayed for one week and held our wedding at the property; we had the most amazing experience. Nikita (chef) and Sonia (manager) are wonderful, brilliant fun and part of the family for the week. They helped us with shopping, meal planning and general local knowledge. Thank you so very much!

The property and staff were amazing. It’s a bit of a walk to holetown to get to the beach or restaurants however it’s a short cab ride if your legs are tired. The rooms and guest areas are spacious and the food and hospitality are world class.

We had a great time at Monkey Hill. The property was beautiful and Sonia was helpful for anything you asked. We watched the monkeys play several days. Cooked at the house several nights and finally found Limegrove center in Holetown. Nice area to have dinner.

I cannot give this villa the praise it deserves. From the location, to the accommodation, the staff to the wonders of. Barbados. Nikita and Sonia were beyond wonderful. Nikita cooked the most wonderful food and Sonia took care of our every request and question.. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and will be back! Trudi

I don’t usually leave reviews, but after the experience we have just had I have to share how great this villa is. From start to finish the communication was efficient and Natalie helped answer any questions I had. She also made some amazing recommendations, including the hire of a catamaran for the day to snorkel with turtles which was absolutely incredible! Upon arrival at the villa, our breath was taken away by how stunning the villa and the grounds were. The ocean view is just something you can never get bored at looking at. From day one we witnessed families of monkeys playing in the vast gardens of the property as well as whales out at sea. We opted to pay extra for the staff, which in my opinion was absolutely the only way to do it. We were a party of 16 so even just the thought of sorting breakfast each morning for that many would have been difficult. Sonia the house manager and her team consisting of Paula the cook, Ronnie the butler and Verona the cleaner, literally made our stay so magical. Our rooms were cleaned and made up each day to a five star standard, any dirty clothes were washed and ironed each day and retuned back to the room, we were waited on for refreshments from breakfast through to evening and experienced Ronnie’s incredible pina coladas and rum punches! Paula made us breakfast and dinner each day and catered to the children’s requirements. As a previous Tides chef her food really was incredible, from the Mahi mahi she cooked us, the bbqs of jerk chicken and the worlds best homemade flying fish Rotis, Paula knew how to cater for our needs. The staff were not staff to us by the end of the holiday, but family. I feel extremely grateful to of met and got to know such amazing people. Then there was all the activities and organising that Sonia helped us with, nothing was too much for her. From arranging a mixologist for the hen night, to the drinks and canapés for the wedding day, to booking restaurants for us, sorting transport, pharmacy runs, getting my favourite wine, ordering a birthday cake, Sonia was incredible! We held our wedding half way through our stay at monkey hill and anyone that is looking for a venue in Barbados this will not disappoint! We only had 14 guests plus ourselves so ours was a very small intimate wedding but the grounds could hold a much larger wedding if guests were staying elsewhere on the island. I chose to hold the ceremony on the second tier of the garden. Will return

This is a splendid Villa with views out over the Caribbean, and beautiful grounds. Sonia was delightful and went over and above to look after us. She and Paula cooked some fabulous meals and nothing was too much trouble for them. A memorable for stay for all of us.

We had the best time at Monkey Villa . Sonia , Pam and Sandra could not have given us a warmer welcome . We were incredibly well looked after . Sandra’s food was fantastic and nothing at all was too much trouble for anyone . First class team - couldn’t recommend the villa and the team more . We had the most amazing stay and the villa works really well for any mixed parties . So much fun , we are missing everyone already and can’t wait to come back . 8 couples enjoyed our stay at monkey hill. Several of us kept repeating it was our best vacation ever!!! Sonia, Sondra and Pam were outstanding hostesses for 7 days. Sondra's breakfasts and dinners were 5-star quality. Sonia's hospitality made our time there soooo enjoyable. We would definitely return. Absolutely nothing negative about our week.

Monkey Hill, Sugar Hill is a fantastic Villa and the staff were excellent. We held our daughter's wedding at Monkey Hill and it was a perfect venue for a small wedding offering outdoor eating area for 18 people and a covered dance floor big enough for a small band and dancing. The staff at Monkey are excellent with Sonia making sure our holiday was the best it could be. The other members of staff were great, good food, clean rooms and a drink waiting for you. The rooms in the villa are well equipped and are beautifully furnished. The large swimming pool gave everyone enough room to either swim or just relax on a lilo This is the best villa we have stayed in during our visits to Barbados. Thank you

We had 12 of our friends to join us in Barbados to celebrate my wife's 50th Birthday and I have to say it could not have been a more pleasurable experience. Monkey Hill Villa was exceptional, it was clean and everything I expected plus more. The staff, Sonia, Pam and Sandra were just brilliant and Sandra the cook (She is a Chef really) cooked the most beautiful meals, all freshly made and all made with care so we and our guests got everything we wanted. We had a BBQ one night and hired in a man playing the steel drums. Sandra cooked Jerk Chicken, Lamb lollipops, steak and prawn skewers with all the sides you need and it made the night that extra bit special. My wife had her 50th birthday which is why we were all there and Sandra made several cakes over the week and always made us feel special. I would highly recommend Monkey Hill Villa and the area it is in if you are looking to rent somewhere in Barbados. Barbados is beautiful, a little expensive maybe but you pay for what you get. We went to The Cliff for my wife's birthday and again the ambiance, service and the food was amazing. Sonia is able to get taxi's, boat trips pretty much anything organised at short notice which makes life easy. Great time with great friends in a great house. 100% satisfied. - Neil

Monkey Hill Villa was so perfect for our Family holiday!! The location, ocean views and the Villa itself are superb!! Sugar Hill estate is beautifully landscaped and cared for and Monkey Hill is a jewel within .... each bedroom/en-suite with its unique luxury decor, balcony/terrace and all leading onto a spacious open outside living area with really lovely outdoor furniture (Firepit a favourite every evening with lots of laughter) with of course those amazing views ... beautiful sunsets every evening! The pool is perfection! The most important treasure at Monkey Hill is without doubt, Sonia, our Housekeeper and now, friend! What a very special Lady she is! A very genuine desire to ensure that we felt at home and happy ... so helpful in that inimitable Bajan relaxed way where everything is just ‘cool’!!! Wish we were still there! We just returned from a great family Christmas vacation at Monkey Hill - it was our 3rd stay at this outstanding property. The owners are excellent to work with and Sonia who oversees the property is a treasure. All of our pre arrival requests were met including a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. We also stayed at the owners Ocean Heights property during this trip which is a newly listed property on Home Away and all I can say is wow! This property is right on the beach and close to all immenities with spectacular views and access to the ocean. Snorkelling, paddle boarding and the beach right at the foot of your stairs - even the neighbours are friendly and welcoming! Which property is better - it will be up to you to decide as both properties are jewels with there own unique offerings. I wish I could keep them both as our families own hidden secrets but they are too nice to not write about. Do yourself a favour and enjoy one of these properties on your next trip to Barbados!

Our stay at Monkey Hill was a week in paradise. The villa was absolutely gorgeous and the rooms were elegant but very comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed the pool each and everyday and spent hours at night sitting around the fire pit soaking in the beauty of the villa. Everything was perfect, especially due to Sonia our housekeeper, she made sure we had fresh towels everyday and our house was spotless. Sonia went above and beyond taking us to local fish markets and food markets. She also taught us a lot about her beautiful island. Our family vacation was spectacular and we can't wait to return next year! If you book this villa it will be the best vacation ever!

My family and I just returned from another fantastic stay at the Monkey Hill villa in the resort of Sugar Hills in Barbados. The villa is spectacular and very well maintained. Sonia (as always) took excellent care of us. Dennis (chef) prepared 2 outstanding meals during our stay. You can see the pride the owner has is this villa in every room. Treat yourself and your family and book your next vacation here. If you go out for dinner try Hugo's which is a new restaurant on the water and close by. Enjoy!

We stayed here for a week with our extended family of 10 and it was wonderful. The house is large enough to accommodate everybody very comfortably and the pool and outside dining room were well used! The housekeeper Sonia was lovely, our kids loved her and she did our laundry and helped us with booking tours. We also had a chef, Dennis, who was increadible and every meal was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this house to anybody going to Barbados. It’s a great location in the middle of the west coast, close enough to everything by no more than a 30 minute taxi ride. The house is part of the Sugar Hill complex and the facilities at the clubhouse are also a nice added feature. If we visit Barbados again I would not hesitate at all to stay at this house, it was an amazing place for our family!

The whole property was incredible, all of the rooms were large and very well furnished, the pool, outside area and gardens were very well maintained and very usable. We have stayed in many villa's on the island and this was by far the best, so good that you were very happy spending days at the property, no need to go out all of the time. And the best housekeeper on the Island, Sonia what a lovely lady, nothing was too much for her. Looking forward to returning next year.

My family and I just returned from a week at Monkey Hill villa in Sugar Hills. The villa is spectacular with all the luxury's of a 5 star resort. Pride of ownership truly is evident in all facets of the home. The owners attention to detail shines through in the unique style of each bedroom and common areas. Our house manager (Sonia) was a pleasure and took great care of all our family's needs. The chef (Dennis) wowed us in creating some tasteful island treats. The villa is close to many of Barbados top beaches and restaurants on the gold coast yet you feel secluded when you take a moment to relax on the beautiful poolside deck. The amenities of Sugar Hill are very nice (club pool, restaurant, tennis courts) and security is very good. If you rent this villa please take care of it as we plan to return again and again...
