The location of Forest Garden House was great! Only a few minutes to the entrance of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. This place was super-spacious with three bedrooms and a double bed in each room. It had a washer and dryer that worked very well (and was super helpful since we stayed here midway through our Costa Rica trip). The kitchen was very well equipped with all the basics to make simple meals.

Though the house was spacious, it lacked storage to put our luggage and bags. Also, the pillows were super thin. It would have been nice to have more pillows. Our main issue was that when we got there our host asked for cash (though the website advertised that they take Visa). Thankfully, we had the money, but it left us cash-strapped for the rest of our trip. This was a pretty nasty surprise and kind of soured us on our experience here.

Ana, the host, was very nice and helpful, waited for us at the home for the check in. The house is located outside the main town, so it is very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by forest. It has all the necessary equipment including washing machine and dryer. I will recommend it for sure.

Needed to wait between showers, as hot water was running out. Living room sofa is very strange and not comfortable.
