We loved the Potting Shed, which was our base for a wedding we were attending at the Mill which was literally a 2min walk. There is nothing i could add to make our stay anymore perfect. Has everything you would need. We wished we could of stayed longer than the 2 nights but will definitely book again when visiting the area.

We were in town for a wedding at Sopley Mill. It is a three minute walk up the road. Highly recommend! This is the cutest place, clean and honestly one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Would totally book this spot again. Easy parking on site as well.

The Potting Shed was quirky. Sofas not very comfy and had pet hair on them. Pet hair also on floir and on and under coffee table. I found this unacceptable as I wiuld if there were a lot of human hair around.

We arrived at the Potting shed ready to start our mini break and we were not disappointed. We had some lovely welcome gifts. The property is situated near the woolpack (highly recommended) and the property had maps for walks we could do. It isn’t far from the beach by car either and we found the dog friendly part and had a lovely morning. We will be back!

The property was excellent for one person but, in particular, the bed was on the small side for more than one. The location was not brilliant being very close to a very busy minor road.

We have just returned home from a 3 night stay at The Potting Shed. Communication with Laura from start to finish has been excellent. Nice set up with everything conveniently located on the ground floor. [We did not use the art room upstairs ]. Lots of cycling routes nearby and best of all, at least 3 pubs within walking distance. The Woolpack, just across the road was the best meal. Only a 10 minute drive to the beach and what a beach! Bigger garden than expected and nice to get the car off the road and make use of the excellent bike storage. Many thanks Sarah & Richard

New Forest escape
The potting shed was nicely presented, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The hosts were friendly and responsive and the area is really nice too with a great pub and lots of country walks close by. Will book again next time we are in the area :)

Nice bijou bolt hole
The property is very nice, bijou but very well done and equipt. It is well placed for exploring the New Forest, the private parking was great for us and there is a nice pub, the Woolpack, just across the road. However, while sitting in the garden, you are subjected to a fair amount of road noise.

Small but perfectly formed
A brilliant use of space and colour with everything you need in a beautiful garden with lots of great walking from the door and a pub you can roll out of bed for with fantastic food...and a TV that gave Wimbledon time for us on our time out....very hard to beat.

Wonderful little bolt hole
We had a fantastic stay at the ‘Potting Shed’ and we’re delighted to find a gorgeous home from home, from the great location to the lovely log burning stove. Fantastically clean and tidy, with all facilities provided and a lovely welcome pack.

Another happy visit to the PS
Have stayed here multiple times now and always good to go back. Thoughtful touches in the cottage and the new bike shed would be very helpful if you were on a cycling holiday. Just be aware there is nothing easily walkable as the lovely Woolpack pub is sadly currently closed. However the Fisherman’s haunt is only 5 mins in the car.

Lovely Holiday home in a quiet village
The stay and property as a whole were fantastic, its great to get away from the hustle and bustle of the town, a car or vehicle is needed ideally, but even if you wish to walk Christchurch isnt so far away with all that is needed. Will stay again in the future and recommend it to others.

Small and cosy with a wood burner, compact property. Parking in a gravel drive off road.
Ideal for touring the New Forest area and can return at the end of the day and walk across the road to a pretty decent pub if don’t want to self cater which kitchen is fine for.

Quiet rand comfortable
Surprisingly large inside. Clean, good kitchen and nice to be given some milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. Only draw back is the patio that needs a good brush down but that is easily fixed. The lady next door gave us some fresh eggs from her chickens which was really nice.

Perfect
The Potting Shed is absolutely perfect. I had to travel for business and the Potting shed was perfect for what I needed. It’s very clean and comfortable and the fire was lovely in the chilly evenings. Laura was very conscientious with meeting COVID guidelines, which made me feel more relaxed about having to travel. I have already booked for my next business trip but would definitely stay here on holiday and highly recommend to family and friends. Thank you

Me & my boyfriend wanted a nice quiet weekend away and we couldn’t have been happier at the potting shed! It’s such a lovely little cottage - big enough for 2 people! Good location and easy to get to various places by car - Lyndhurst, Christchurch, Bournemouth etc..

Delightful in every way!
The Potting Shed felt like home as soon as I stepped in through the door. It has all that you need and is both modern and cosy. The fire is so lovely and warms the entire place (but there is heating if you prefer).
Sopley is a characterful village with an interesting history, especially the Woolpack pub across the road. The food is good there too. Sopley is ideal as you are an easy 20 minutes away from so much:- the New Forest (I recommend to park in Blackwater and do the Tall Trees Trail and the Arboretum); the beaches; and about 25 minutes to gorgeous Lymington which has a fab Saturday market.
Overall everything was perfect and I can’t wait to return!

Lovely base to explore from
We had a lovely stay at the Potting Shed. It had everything we needed, And the flowers, milk and biscuits left for us were a nice touch. Lots of local information and games helped us pass the time when it rained. And when the sun was out we had a couple of lovely days out to Bournemouth air festival and Lulworth Cove

Comfortable and compact - perfect
I stayed at The Potting Shed alone and, because of its compactness, I felt very cosy and comfortable there. The immediate neighbours are quite quiet and the fact that there was a gate to the property gave an added sense of cosiness. I was able to do lots of walks in the local area and beyond and enjoy all the wildlife and the coastal scenery, as well as take lots of pictures, so it was a perfect holiday for me.

Charming, comfortable accommodation in a lovely area.
The property was comfortable, clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. When we arrived, there were lovely welcoming touches - a note, tea, coffee, milk and fresh flowers. This was a lovely start to our stay. The property is ideal for a couple and is well located for exploring the area. We had pleasant excursions to Christchurch, Boscombe, Bournemouth, Ringwood and Lymington. We ate every evening in the Woolpack Inn across the road; the food was good, reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly. We would heartily recommend this accommodation as an ideal base for exploring the area.
