We loved this charming house in the perfect location! First time in St Joseph for a long weekend with my husband and 2 yr old. Loved the easy walk to the beach and having wagons to haul all of our stuff. Also easy walk to splash pad, carousel, kids museum and restaurants. The house was clean and good size for our family. My favorite part was the little sunroom where I could drink coffee and read in the mornings! Great stay and the host was very helpful.

Blue Spruce Haven is a cozy and relaxing place in St. Joseph, MI. Just a short 5 minute walk to the beach on Lake Michigan and conveniently located to restaurants and shopping. Looking forward to visiting again in the future. A great place to stay, highly recommend Blue Spruce Haven.

The location of this property is ideal. Everything is within walking distance - beach, restaurants, shopping, entertainment. The space is more than enough for 2 people. The front sitting room was a great place to enjoy morning coffee. Parking our car in the garage was a bonus. Very comfortable apartment!

Property has all the basics and the location is incredible - we walked to the beach and to the downtown area every day. Hosts were very responsive to questions. Lovely sunroom that we used for remote work. Overall, would absolutely stay there again.

We had a relaxing week stay at the Blue Spruce Haven. The air conditioner handled the high 90 heat we had for a few days. The location is close enough to walk to the beach, shop, eat or just enjoy a park bench in the shade. We had some quiet/down time in the sunroom reading. The kitchen was well supplied for making meals. Plenty of local eateries with great food were in the area for dining out. Silver Lake Beach is a great way to soak up the sun and the sunsets are outstanding. The owners were very responsive to our tech needs with the TV and DVD player. We had a wonderful time. Friendly and timely communication with host at check in time. Just the kind of neighborhood vibe I hoped for in a smaller lake town: charm, within walking distance to Lake MI, eats and treats, short drive to nearby towns... Comfy home furnishings, well stocked, quiet and cozy.

Great location. The front door was hard to open and close but we could use the back door. The beach wagon and chairs were helpful.

Being Comfortably walkable to downtown and the beach, this location was ideal for a weekend getaway. The house provided everything we needed for a relaxing day at the beach - chairs, and umbrella, kids toys and a wagon to tow everything easily down the hill to the beach - you just need to pack your own towels. The pictures were very accurate to the rental. Would definitely recommend/stay again.

Perfect for the two of us to use as our base for visiting with family staying elsewhere. Comfortable. Kitchen nicely equipped. Short walk to town and beach. We'll be back.

We had a great stay. The location is perfect. We loved the neighborhood and enjoyed being able to walk everywhere. The apt. was quaint and clean. The furniture is a little worn, but comfortable.

We are four women who wanted to enjoy Southwest Michigan and that is what we did. The house had most everything we needed but since we each wanted our own bed, one slept on the air mattress which was a little low to the ground. Probably better suited to 3 women but we had a great time. The house was comfortable and Sandy left great instructions.

This was the first time I used VRBO. The property manager was extremely responsive and helpful. The rental was very well located and had everything we needed. I would definitely go back!

Our little family loved this property for our brief vaca. We wanted to do a last minute beach escape and we feel so fortunate to have found Blue Spruce Haven. So many helpful details and amenities that really made it worthwhile, relaxing, and safe. The layout of the place was ideal as well, and we loved the sitting room! Sandra is an excellent host and so considerate and accomodating- i'm sure we'll be back soon!

We had a wonderful family trip at Blue Spruce! The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, ice cream, pizza, and bike rentals. We appreciated the wagons and beach toys so much. Everything you could want for a beach trip is provided. Thank you!

Wonderfully clean and cute apartment attached to a historic Victorian house with its own entrance and attached 2 car garage. The Neighborhood is adorable and a short walk to the beach with 2 wagons available to cart your belongings. Also provided are at least 2 chairs and an umbrella with tons of beach toys for the kiddos. Summer activities including an artisan market were in full swing. Super close to downtown where cute shops are located as well. The home itself is very clean and thoughtfully appointed with spices, Toiletries and utensils. Of note, There is no exhaust inside the kitchen so plan on light cooking only. They have a Grill available for use. The shower pressure was wonderful after a long day at the beach. Sheets and blankets all Labeled including the Air mattress For a family of 5. Sandra even called to make sure we were all ok with no questions. Will definitely be returning again!

My Husband and I were looking for a fun beach vacation with tons to do with our 1.5 year old. This was the perfect place! Walking distance to the beach, restaurants and the carousel. The house all the amenities would could ask far and Sandra was very easy to work with!

First time to St. Joe. Our family loved everything, including this property. Such a short--but beautiful--walk to pretty much everything. And what a perfect home to come back to after every outing, ideal for our family of 4. Everything as advertised. The beach-worthy wagon was outstanding for carting all of our gear to and from the beach (including the beach chairs, umbrella, and other items that were provided by the owners). And Silver Beach could not have been better, perhaps my favorite beach ever. Perfectly sandy lake bottom wherever you go and plenty shallow a long way out, great for swimming and playing with kids of any age. Highly recommend Blue Spruce Haven!! And Sandy was a pleasure to work with. Thanks for having us!!!

The neighborhood was sweet. It was a bit warm the first night, but we learned to get the most from the window units and fans. Lots of antique touches, but time for some updates. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. Thank you for having us!
