Nothing really. It was a scam felt like being in a prison the whole time could not wait to leave honestly.

Everything. We booked one night and upon checking in the main lady (owner) is the most rudest, disrespectful and unwelcoming person I have ever come across. She should be ashamed of herself for the way she treats others. At first during check in she did not wanted to accept that we have a booking, after showing her confirmation she still wasn’t satisfied but eventually had to let us in. She clearly didn’t want us in the hotel because we got a delux room at a discount price through booking. Anyways we never got the room we booked which was so disappointing. The room we were given was not nice at all. We wanted to pay with card and the owner said they will charge 6/7% which is crazy. There was no toilet paper in our bathroom and upon requesting she said ok but never acted upon and just sat in her chair like She doesn’t care and she only gave it to us once I requested the second time. She knocked on our door and started blaming us that we were smoking in our room which was so ridiculous and obnoxious. Whereas she was the one who we saw smoking. As a backpacker who has been travelling for a year and has stayed in 100 of different accommodations I have never felt this humiliated, disgusted, unappreciated and discriminated. The worse thing is we didn’t even do anything. Hated every minute of it and we booked another Accomodation straight away at pool hostel which is close by. Don’t stay here, there is so much bad energy and vibe, it feels like a prison, no atmosphere, they try to scam you; and it’s expensive whereas the service is worse then mercado. We booked pool hostel immediately which was way cheaper and so much better. The lady owner should learn some manners and not discriminate people based on their appearance or colour. Maybe she should take some classes in school to learn how to deal with clients because she clearly has no skills. It shocks me to see someone so rude and unprofessional running a hostel and trying to rob people.

Really nice hostel in the centre (just few blocks from the cathedral), the guy at the reception was very friendly and welcoming. Wifi works well. My room was nice and comfy, with space to hang clothes and with a ventilator (the room wasn't too hot even without it). You can also use the kitchen (and they have a filter, so the water is drinkable) and hang out on a lovely patio.

The hosts were amazing! The kitchen is cute and clean. The room was simple but spacious and the bed was perfect (I love these type of beds -memory foam). There is an area to do your laundry which I am thankful for. The bathroom and shower were great (nice warm water to shower with). Thankful that they provided towels~ didn't get to enjoy the breakfast since I left at 5am but...I'm sure I would have enjoyed it😆 the location was very close to the city center and other great eatery areas~

There wasn't anything that I didn't like, the place was great and the price was good, enjoyed my stay🙃

Good room with enough plugs and places to put your stuff. There is a reading lamp and a fan. Delicious breakfast and super nice staff. Shower had hot water. Good shared kitchen. Really close to the main square.

Couldn't lock my room and after 7 am you can hear people speaking on the corridor.

Unfortunately there was only 1 toilet/shower for a few people so sometimes it wasn't free. They are making another I think

Large beds, super modern, and perfect amount of fan. beautiful and large kitchen equipped with spices, a room with couches and comfy chairs. Staff were friendly and comes with breakfast, hot shower. Central location near food and center and 20 min walk to bus stations.

The shower was a bit dirty and only one bathroom/shower for the people there. Hopefully a new one will be built soon. The breakfast was average but could use some improvement! The beds were nice and big but needs more support because we all woke up with a big indent and a sore back!

Hostal Sole was perfect for a trip to Santa Ana. The staff were so incredibly helpful and were flexible to arranging a car and shuttle. The breakfast and coffee was very good as well. The Hostal is located 2 mins from the main square one way and 4/5 mins the other way to some excellent local restaurants. The rooms are very big as well! Also don’t be fooled by the outside where it looks like it is gated, all the hostels in Santa Ana we saw were inconspicuous and closed off (I.e. you cannot just walk in). Highly recommend going to Santa Ana!

The design of the rooms and aesthetics is nice but a chest of draws or similar would be great in the room we stayed in.

The host was very friendly and helpful with information. Rooms are spacious and clean. Great location, very central.

There was only one shared bathroom but it wasn't an issue when I was there. They also say they are building another one.

Only one toilet+shower for everyone - wasn't too bad because i was there during low season, but i assume it is not so fun during busy times It was raining extremely bad one night and the whole place got flooded with like 2-3 cm of water, including the room's floor - again, the staff was super nice, trying their hardest to clear the water and saying how sorry they are that this happened - but the drainage there is not the best and even though they were very nice, stuff got quite wet

It’s close to the center and I like how it is decorated. You get free soap and shampoo. They serve a big breakfast that was really nice! The guy who worked there was very kind and I could ask him anything, he was really helpful.

I had a really bad sleep because of all the trafic that was really loud. You can not fully close the window. There were also a lot of mosquitoes in the room, so you really have to close the door and window if you don’t want to get bitten by mosquitoes.

Hostal Sole is a small and very friendly place. Marvin

in the dorm there was only one fan on the other side of the room. it was unbelievably hot and many mosquitoes also the door to the hostel was locked so you always had to wait for someone to come and open the door which was irrating

It was a very clean and slick hotel with much-appreciated AC. We ended up extending two extra nights. In addition, the breakfast was great.

The property does not accept card, so we had to pay in cash. Also the entry and exit to the property was frustrating, you have to wait to be let in (90% this was not an issue, but at one point we had to wait ten minutes). On our last morning we also discovered that the key needed to exit the property was being held by the receptionist, so we literally could not leave - this is a massive massive fire hazard. I think a “latch” lock mechanism should be installed instead to make sure people can leave independently.
