We had a lovely stay. Location was close to beach, shops, and lots of places to eat. 2 bedrooms on the lower level, a pullout couch for sleeping on the second level and 2 bedrooms upstairs (one with a pullout couch) gave everybody room to spread out and have their own space. The outdoor balcony off the kitchen was perfect for BBQing and eating.

Location is awesome. You are less than a block from the beach and walking distance to 20+ restaurants. This place is very roomy especially if you get the additional living space like we did. A big plus here is the A/C. While San Diego is beautiful most of the year, it can get warm in July and August. If having central air that really works is important, this is definitely the place for you!! Everything was clean and all the amenities are here. Overall one of our better experiences.

Better than expected. Minor electrical problems in bedrooms but nothing serious. Spacious townhouse was close to the beach, which was important to us as we all live in colder Northern areas, and surrounded by friendly restaurants and bars.

We loved our stay here! My small boys could easily walk to the beach, every local eatery was fantastic, the space was ample for our needs, great communication with the owner. We will definitely be coming back!

It was the perfect location for us to enjoy pacific beach, from going to the beach and enjoying the water to go out to eat to going out for drinks… it’s all right there!

Our experience at this Pacific Beach residence is met with a mixed and somewhat disappointing review. Background: We rented this house with 2 other families, total of 6 adults and 6 kids (ages 4-7). We were required to pay an additional fee for each person and pay extra for the “guest area”. The Good: -Close to the beach, easily walkable -Decent food options within walking distance -Upstairs has a large common area to hang out in The Bad: -Noisey - Very noisy at night, right on main street/mission blvd -Nothing like the pictures -Pics online are misleading, it’s more rundown inside, the couches aren’t matching, the extra beds are pull out sofas in the living room, which isn’t conducive to actual living/sleeping space -The basement “guest area” – this add on that we paid for was incredibly disappointing. It has NO windows, NO overhead lights (lamps only), its doorway to the street is a glass business door with a sketchy metal see through door behind it. It was concerning enough that we didn’t feel comfortable having kids sleep down there. There was no door handle inside of the connecting room to the main unit and the kids actually got stuck at one point in the guest area and we had to let them out. In the event of a fire there would only be one exit, which was the deadbolted glass front door. It was dingy and creepy, especially for the additional cost. -The Beds – uncomfortable; could certainly use mattress upgrades -The neighbors: we received a complaint the first day when we were playing the alley way behind the townhome with our kids in the morning. It was 8 am and a neighbor complained to the management we were being too loud; so we weren’t allowed to make noise until after 10 am. -Neighbor #2 – a lady came slamming on the front door (which opens directly to mission blvd) one evening demanding we open the door and move our car that she claimed was parked in her stall. After telling her I was not going to open the door for some random stranger I also let her know it was not our vehicle. Ours was parked in the garage per the rules provided. Management: This was our most concerning interaction. We texted with him about our concerns with the basement guest area after we left (since we felt it was unsafe) and he became very upset and said if didn’t like it, we should have told him immediately so he could have rented it out to someone else instead! Even while we were renting upstairs with 6 small children!

We enjoyed our time and appreciated the amenities.

Great location

Spent a few days here with my family and grandparents over new years. It is very close to the beach and made morning runs and beach time easy. Well maintained but a little dated, there were lots of creaks and groans from the furniture and the floor. The property manager was very attentive, good communication and nice. Biggest cons were the time it took to get the hot water going, the water pressure and noise coming from the street at night made it hard to get the small ones to sleep. Great place and the price was right, would stay again if we are down in SD again sometime.

Can not say enough about the great communication with property manager, Niloofar. He had to come Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, very impressive. The location is phenomenal, close to multiple restaurants, coffee, and a block from the beach, can’t beat it. The main bedrooms on the upper level were very nice, big bathrooms. The great room are and kitchen are nice size for our family of 13. We did have some issues with sporadic hot water,even with having to run the water for over 5 minutes ( scary how much water wasted), kitchen never did get hot water. The area rugs edges were curled up so needed to tape them down to prevent constant tripping. The kitchen area rugs were a bit grungy, and the lower level needed to be cleaned better (Sand and dust bunnies, and paper found under beds). Our family had a great time, and these issues could be over looked, big issue of hot water needs addressing.

The property manager was very accommodating to our requests and treated us respectfully. The location was fantastic. Bike rental across the street. One minute walk to the beach. Many restaurants and bars close by. We rode bikes down the boardwalk to Belmont Park. Our multi-generational family of 8 had a wonderful Thanksgiving trip. Once inside the rental, we decided to add the extra space at the garage level, Guest Suite. This gave us two additional bedrooms with beds, another full bath and an extra kitchen. This helped us to have decent sleep, privacy and cook Thanksgiving dinner. Some other reviewers comments regarding the condition of the rugs and sofa beds were accurate. We pulled the sofa mattresses off the frames, stacked them on the floor and one of our teens slept there. You have to let the water run for quite a while to obtain hot water. Once the water is hot, it stays hot without issue. We had a great time.

I booked this place for a bachelor party with 14 people. The location and the property were perfect. Very open commons area leading out to the patio. Bedrooms are on different floors making it very quiet if someone needed some privacy or rest. The host was also very attentive and accommodating. Would absolutely recommend.

Had an awesome 30th birthday party with my friends here! Great location and an even better host! We will definitely be back.

Communication with property manager started off disrespectfully. Finally my husband and property manager ironed things out. Some inaccurate information was passed to us in the beginning. Checking in information wasn't given to use until well after 4 pm check in time. Day bed frame was bent before we got there and almost impossible to close. Carpets in family room were very turned up. I even took a picture of them in case you want to see them. They are very dangerous the way they are. Our stay at VRBO house in Barbados was an A+. This house was a C-. Best thing about this house was the location. Pacific Beach is a great spot to vacation.

We went out on a limb and decided to do a two week stay. We are so glad we did! This location was perfect for food and beach fun both. Homeowner kindly dropped off additional supplies for our extended stay and the property manager was very easy to work with. No concerns with the home while we were there, nothing broke and everything was in working order. We will stay here again! Thanks for a great stay and sharing your home with us!

I loved this stay! I stayed here with a few friends and it was very spacious inside. It was clean and perfect when we got there! Location is great and you don’t have to worry about being to loud because you can’t hear noise that much from inside house. We were playing music and having fun talking and I went outside to see if ur was loud and you can’t hear... overall great place! Would recommend for big group!

Awesome environment for all parties! Great scenic area

This was my 40th birthday getaway with some friends to San Diego. There were some minor hiccups upon arrival with things that were missed by the cleaner from the renters that were there before us. The host/property manager went the extra mile to accommodate us and was exceptionally communicative with us throughout our trip from start to finish. He even offered to come clean himself if he could not get a cleaner out to us (above and beyond). BIG SALUTE to you Property Manager, the owner couldn't have a better person running things for them. The units (main unit and extra street level unit) perfectly slept me and my six companions. All the bathrooms and showers worked fine, water pressure in showers were not strong, but this is normal of water pressure in beach properties and hotels. The garage was empty to fit our minivan and there are some beach chairs that you can utilize at the beach which is VERY close. Property is close to Ralph's grocers, liquor store, bars and restaurants. I can't stress enough that the host offered top notch response to our concerns upon arrival and made sure we were as satisfied as can be. I would stay here again.

Amazing end of Summer vacation home. Stayed with another family so having the 2 master bedrooms were perfect!! Easy minute walk to the beach and Host was super responsive. Plenty of nearby restaurants to walk to as well.

The house is a great sized house and having access to a garage was fantastic. The location can't be beat! That aside, some of the furnishings were worn down and the ease of communication/check-in/check-out was not what I've encountered at previous rentals.

This was an amazing property in a fantastic location. You are steps away from the beach, dining, and nightlife which is very convenient if you don’t wish to rent a car or deal with parking. The rental was very clean and the property manager did everything possible to make Our stay as comfortable as possible. The downstairs unit is detached from the rest of the house but still very accessible. We would stay here again for sure.

Our basketball team was in town for a team camp. We wanted somewhere to relax and enjoy the beach after camp before we had to head back to Colorado. This location was the perfect spot. Plenty of room for our team and tons of things to see and do. The patio was perfect for our team cookout! While some of the guys enjoyed the sandy beach others enjoyed expiring the shops, restaurants and scooter rentals. All within walking distance!! It was definitely a game winner! Sherwin was most helpful and very accommodating. We would recommend this to anyone at anytime. We plan on attending the team camp next summer and this will be added to our game plan!! If you want a game winning place to stay ....this one is a slam dunk!!! Coaches & Team
