Location. It was close to ferry terminal and bus terminal. I stayed dormitory for women only and it was separated by wall and had a roll curtain so privacy was kept.

It took time to figure out a switch for bed light. It would be great if it was explained when check in. Ceiling was low so I hit my head a couple of times.

The guesthouse is 5 minutes from the bus station and 7 minutes from the ferry terminal. It is really central. You can get anywhere from the bus station. the staff very friendly. The guests chat and laugh together in the kitchen. You quickly come into contact with other guests and are out and about together in the evenings.The guesthouse itself is an attraction. If you're traveling alone and looking for a connection, I can only recommend HIVE.

They have just 2 shower.If you get up early, you can usually take a shower without waiting.

バスターミナルから近くて移動するのに便利でした。船乗り場も近くにありました。 共有スペースは大きな窓で開放感があり、綺麗に清掃されてて良かったです。

ゲストハウスが3階にあり、階段が大変。

The entrance of the hotel is a little scary.You have to make your own sheets, only two bathrooms. It's noisy from early morning.

備品第一次拿到毛巾床單沒有特別檢查，晚上要鋪的時候上面有一點點血漬，毛巾也有點點髒髒點，但都願意換給我～希望下次給備品的時候工作人員也需要先確認一下比較好～謝謝

The location is god if you wanna go the others islands. The staff is thoughtful and kind.

The entrance is at the end of a service corridor that does not smell well from restaurant exhausts and garbage. I expected a wider location looking at the pictures, the windows are only in the kitchen making it a bit claustrophobic in my opinion.

I stayed there for a week remotely working and I had a really great time! First the location of the guest house is the most convenient, located close from buses and ferry terminal and also next to a lot of restaurants and bars. The common spaces were always clean, we had enough space for everyone and the nice kitchen space is the best place to meet up with and spend time with the other travelers. The rooftop was also a really nice place to hang out by day and by night to watch the stars. The staff were the bests, always willing to give you advices about restaurant, places to visit and to make your stay memorable. Finally, the bed space was large enough to feel at home.

The only bad point is the first floor of the building before taking the stairs to reach the guesthouse front door. There must be a restaurant that throw used oils somewhere next to it and the smell isn’t lovely.

The entrance to the hostel is very narrow, dark, dirty and smelly. I really hated to go through it. Public area AC is adequate, however, sleeping area AC circulation is bad.

the hostel is located in a smelly alley which causes bad smell coming from the AC. It could be much cleaner.

It was in a place like a secret base and it was a room like a secret base. The owner is kind and funny. You can rent a bicycle for 500 yen. Get earplugs for free. 耳栓を無料でもらえる。

Hard to find this place. But it's like an adventure and I'm excited. It's on the 3rd floor so it's hard to carry big luggage.But you can do it.

The location is everything! so close to the ferry terminal and center of the town but not noisy!

Everything is good no words

Everything wa stone but how I wish of silent after 9pm since every traveler must be tired and want some great sleep ,there was too much sound from kitchen ,laugh and talking loud sorry I think this little effort makes perfect accommodation, it’s my honesty,

I had a great time in Hive, I stayed there for 6 days and Yoshi helped me in many ocassions with various matters. The hostel is in the middle of the city nightlife so if you want to grab a bite or get a drink you are a small walk away.

You need a japanese driving license to rent their motorbikes :(

The hive structure is something special, during my sleep I felt protected and comfortable. The washroom is clean and spacious. The common area/kitchen is bright and cozy.

The reception is a bit tiny and awkward, especially if there is also the shoe storage there.

Nice guesthouse, nice host. The bed is comfortable and big enough to put some stuff inside

There's a really nice atmosphere at Hive! The staff are all very nice and helpful, people casually hang out in the main room, and it's easy to make friends :) everything is cleaned, the kitchen is really well equipped, and there's also a rooftop to hang out. A 5min walk from both the bus station and ferry terminal make it very easy to explore Ishigaki and the nearby islands.

If people are not careful about how they move or the noise they make, it can get quite noisy in the dorms. I had to shush a couple that seemed to be moving there stuff around for hours until 2 am.

Good location close to harbor , bus station & city.

1. VERY loud. lights go out at 22:00 but there is noice till about midnight. the capsule walls are very thin and you can hear absolutely everything what the other guy or girl is doing. After midnight it is literally an orchestra of people snoring. earplugs won’t help you. 2. very bad smell outside. Hostel is located on the 3 rd floor and rest is joined property with a restaurant. I Reckon it’s like some animal guts laying around that they just won’t clean up.
