This was a perfect getaway for us. Far enough to get away from the everyday hustle, but close enough to the normal comforts. Check in was very easy, everything was clearly communicated, and a great little basket of goodies was made available to us. We caught a few fish, watched some wildlife, took out dog to enjoy the nearby trails, and we were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the bed was. We will absolutely keep the River House on a short list of preferred places to visit again!

My husband, myself, kids ages 4 and 10, and our pup had an amazing time here. The cabin style house built up in the trees, really made it feel like we were staying in a tree house. The property is beautiful and tranquil. You are transported to such a relaxing, peaceful mindset. The hosts are so nice and easy to contact. My kids loved being able to fish off the dock and hangout outside all day and even into the night. You could let the kids and dog go and run around with no worries. We went on the trails that are near by and they were so beautiful. Its an amazing place to get out into nature and a unique experience. We will absolutely be back and stay for longer! Best vacation ever so far. Highly recommend and VERY dog friendly!

We have been traveling the USA with our dogs for a decade and look for dog friendly spots. Our homebase is in Florida, and we were in the area during a move to Italy. This cabin was great for the dogs with plenty of fenced in and safe property, a canoe to go down the river and bigger and nicer inside than expected. Our senior dog did have difficulty with all the stairs up to the cabin entrance, so keep that in mind if you have an elderly dog. We adjusted with a harness for him and bring a flashlight outside at night. We also were able to clean them from all the dirt in the outside shower so they didn’t track it inside. Thank you for a lovely and memorable stay.

This was exactly what we wanted for a sibling's getaway and with pets. This secluded cabin had everything in it. BBQ Grill, fire pit, dishes, pots n pans, Extra pillows and blankets and so much more. We enjoyed it and would definitely come back. The hosts were so responsive and helpful as well.

It actually rained Saturday and Sunday we were there we got up on Monday morning and it was just so beautiful and Mike and Rob the owners were very nice enough to let us stay for a late check out on Monday. So we got on our bikes and we rude the mountain bike trail road for about 2 hours got back got our beautiful husky dog sky packed our vehicle and headed back home we will be back and thanks again

It’s a very nice and secluded getaway surrounded by nature. Perfect place to reset and disconnect.

Grandsons cooked hot dogs, marshmallows over camp fire, fished from dock, had excellent outdoor experience exploring. Perfect little cabin in the woods.

This is an awesome little cabin in the woods but a close drive to amenities, services and major highways. The cabin is cute and cozy. Kitchen is stocked with all that you need. The balcony amongst the trees in enjoyable both during the day and for stargazing at night. We had our pup along who loved sniffing around the property. The hosts really care about the place and guests and left a basket of goodies and great instructions. We really enjoyed the weekend and would definitely stay again!

We loved the coziness of the cabin! It was the perfect spot for our pups to run around and explore. We were also within decent travel distance of everything we wanted to do. So many trails for our pups to walk down and even took them to the doggie beach about an hour and a half away. Check in was very easy and all questions we had were answered within a very timely manner. Would definitely stay again!

This was a surprise trip for my husband and our "Boys." I selected it because of the woodsy feel which reminded Hubs of his childhood in Wisconsin and the fenced-in property allowed us to feel secure about walking with the Boys off-leash or simply running around to catch all of the sniffs. We will be back to this peaceful magical place. Thank you, Mike & Rob!

Perfect place for my pup and I. Lots of room for him to run around and lots of open space for me to relax and enjoy nature. Kayak on the property was awesome, the river was beautiful. Local trails were a great hike. Feeling refreshed and recharged. Thank you Rob and mike for opening up your cabin to others to enjoy.

This is a great getaway. The cabin is adorable and the property is wonderful. It is fenced in. We could let our dog roam and not worry about him. The cabin is homey and comfortable. It has all that you need there. The property has a grill and fire pit. Plenty of outdoor space to relax and take in the nature. Wish we had more time to enjoy this gem. It was perfect for our weekend of peace and quiet to unwind. We look forward to coming back!

Totally wonderful place to stay.

We had an amazing time. The cabin was everything we were looking for and more. We enjoyed hiking, kayaking, grilling and setting by a fire every night. It’s was fabulous. Was very clean and had all the house hold essentials we needed. Thank you!

I loved how private it was. My dogs ran free without me having to stress out. It was just what i needed to relax and just enjoy time with my boyfriend and pups. Would definitely like to do iy again.

We stayed for three nights with our dogs and LOVED it! The cabin is has everything you need to get away for a few days. The area is very quiet and relaxing but you can still get to a grocery store in under 10 minutes! Will return for sure!!

Had a blast with my kids and the dogs. We spent a ton of time by the river and around the fire pit. The dogs loved being able to roam around the property. If you love nature and are looking for a peaceful retreat, this is definitely the place. We’ll 100% be back.

Looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place. Want to return but during cooler weather so we can take advantage of the fire pit.

We love this little cabin on the river! Perfect for people who love the outdoors but also love air conditioning and hot showers! We enjoyed the canoe: so many pretty trees and birds on the river. We did some hiking at Silver Lake, about 15 minutes away. The drive-in theater isn’t far and always fun. Our favorite is the Treehoppers aerial adventure course and zip lines…about a 30 minute drive and SO fun (great workout, too). The kitchen is well stocked and Winn Dixie is a five minute drive for groceries. We love the gas grill and fire pit with provided wood. Rob and Mike are very responsive and accommodating. Thanks again for the fun family memories!

Beautiful natural landscape. Large mature trees with hanging Spanish moss canopies over the property. Kids 3, 6 first experience in the woods, very magical. They used flashlights and exploring in the evenings. Raised cabin from inside feels like your in a wonderful tree house, overlooking the trees and water outside. The host provided a fully equipped kitchen, wonderful heavy duty furniture, linens, etc. too many amenities to list. We loved the fire pit, cooked all our dinners on a portable grate we brought with us. We took the following which came in handy: a small fold up table to use by the fire pit, folding chairs for the fishing dock, fishing polls/bait, bug spray, and of course groceries. Note: Winn Dixie is only 4 miles away and a few fast food restaurants. Definitely recommend 100% this property for a relaxing, old country style experience.

Oh, we were very impressed with the solitude and the quiet natural, beautiful atmosphere. The water was an extra bonus. It was so nice that you left us a basket with popcorn and other welcoming items. The home was clean and very comfortable. The kayaks were a blast. And after we fell into the river, a couple of times, as the kayak tilted, ( we’re not very good at kayaking) , adult shower was very helpful. I slept better there than I have slept in a long time!

Loved everything - Not able to get wifi signal but I had no problems with that fact , except I could not communicate with property owners , sorry if that was an issue. I can highly recommend this property - can understand why the owners fell in love with this little lot of heaven.

Amazing spot to relax and be totally secluded! My wife and I spent 2 weeks here with our 2 dogs and we will definitely be back! Rob and Mike are amazing hosts and even had us to their ranch for a tour! The cabin is very private and fully fenced in with no one in sight! The river is right behind and beautiful to hangout on! It’s a close drive to all amenities and is very central to all other attractions! We can’t say enough good things about Mike and Rob and the cabin!

This place has an amazing location on the Withlacoochee river, and made for a great time paddling, relaxing, grilling, biking, and letting the dogs run. I couldn't have enjoyed it more. Thanks.

This was the perfect weekend getaway. The property was so peaceful and it was nice to disconnect from the world. We had a great experience fishing off the dock and were lucky enough to see otters in the morning.
