When we walked in, everything was so clean! The parents enjoyed our time relaxing, while the “kids” went skiing! 100% recommend!!

This is our second time staying here! It’s perfect for our family! The location can’t be beat. We come to ski and shop! Appalachian skiing is 5 minutes down the mountain! Blowing Rock is 10 minutes down the mountain. The kitchen is well equipped and the washer and dryer are such a nice amenity to have! If I had to say anything negative, it would be that when the wind is blowing really hard, you can feel it through the back door!! But, to be fair, while we were there, it was 11 degrees and wind gusts of 35! We will definitely be staying there next year, too! We love it!!

Our host was amazing and very engaged in making our stay the best it could be! Prompt response to our questions. Nice older home was total package for our first ever ski trip in the midst of a brutally cold winter storm with wind chill near 20 below! Snow removal was quick each day! House is high on mountain so 4x4 or chains are a must in winter. Hot tub was amazing, whole family enjoyed it! Fireplace was super easy to use. Would definitely stay again!

Look no further if you want a very clean, updated home in a great mountain location. This home has great amenities and plenty of comfortable beds. The master suite is spacious and relatively private to rest of house. My husband and I brought all food and gifts for Christmas weekend with our adult children and their spouses, and there was plenty of storage in this well decorated cozy abode. Kitchen has everything you need. Views of mountains are outstanding from dining and living areas as well as the warm, clean hot tub which an added bonus for hang outs.We laughed over games, worked together on puzzles, enjoyed Christmas movies in a warm living room with nice comfy furniture and easy to use gas logs. Spacious paved parking and good yard space, wrap around decks for getting outside. We also liked proximity between Boone and Blowing Rock. We hiked Mountains to Sea Trail at Rich Mountain, worshipped at great Christmas Eve service at Rumple Memorial Presbyterian in Blowing Rock. Owner was quickly responsive to my questions. Would definitely return to this s home any season!

My family wanted a getaway for a few days before the holiday to the mountains. The property was clean and looked like the pictures. The property is a little older, but clean and functional. The hot tub was amazing. Check in was easy and the owner was very nice and accommodating. The only thing I would say is the drive up was a little treacherous and I was glad we got there in the daytime.

We had a good time visiting Tweetsie Railroad. Even though it rained we made the best of it. Spent time in Boone shopping during the day and Tweetsie that evening.The house was perfect for us and Karen made check it was super easy. This home will be on our list to revisit.

The property is well-maintained and is described well in the posting. We would definitely stay here again. It is close to town and in the mountains. Very nice neighborhood.

The property was very clean but very dated. The fireplace gas logs and the hot tub were the best part. The beds were comfortable and the linens were as well. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever was needed. The owner was very responsive and the property was in a nice neighborhood above Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. Be careful driving and watch your GPS carefully and you can make it in but difficult at night and in the fog.

The house is “spic and span,” and supplied with everything we needed. It is roomy and comfortable. We’ve stayed here for a weekend in the fall for the past 5 or 6 years, as a group of 3 couples, and will hopefully continue to do so. The owners are very accessible and it’s easy to communicate with them. We highly recommend it.

Very comfortable. Nice deck to take the view. Perfect location between Blowing Rock and Boone. We have stayed at this home many times over the last 12 years.

We stayed here to celebrate my birthday with my hubby, kids and grandkids. It was perfect for our needs. Each family had their own bedroom and bathroom. The kids loved the play set and making s’mores by the fire pit. The owners were easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend this place!

The property could use some updating, but it was still a very beautiful setting, and it was comfortable. We had everything we needed to prepare meals and we really enjoyed just relaxing on the porch and talking in the breathtaking views! The hot tub could have been a little cleaner, but we really didn't use it.

Great little weekend getaway for some river tubing. The rooms were great and the views pleasing.

This was the perfect home for our family vacation. The proximity to Blowing Rock’s many attractions is ideal. The home was very clean and provided many of the necessities I wouldn’t expect a rental to provide. We spent a lot of our time on the back deck enjoying the mountain view, cool temperatures, and hot tub. We will definitely try to rent again on our next visit to BR!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this Blowing Rock home. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and seating area. Hot tub was very relaxing. Close to local attractions in both Blowing Rock and Boone. Owner was very attentive with responding back with our questions. Would definitely come back again!

The house was very nice and comfortable. View was fantastic. Hot tub needed chlorine but the owner took care of it right away. The cleanliness of the grill was not very good but certainly not a reason to get upset over. Our family hopes to return next year.

Beautiful property and an easy drive to all the fun activities we planned for our trip. We had a wonderful time, loved sitting on the deck and the kids loved the hot tub.

This was the second time we have stayed at this property. It was clean, neat, and plenty of room for our annual summer family get-together. The grand's really enjoy the hot tub. The cabin has a great view of the mountains and is close to local shopping/attractions/etc. Hope to be there again next year

The house was great! Perfect location and plenty of room. The owners provided a lot of small items that we didn't have to bring from home. They have a great yard and a pretty view of the mountains but are close enough to town to still enjoy that as well. Would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I loved our stay here. Quiet neighborhood with views from the deck and a short drive to both shopping and outdoor activities. We can’t wait to come back!

The house was wonderful! It was perfect for our family! We loved it! With 2 bedrooms downstairs, each with their on baths, that left the upstairs for my son and his children. Plus, their own bathroom. The location was perfect! Close to everything! We will definitely be booking this again for our next mountain vacation!!

Great house and perfect location. We were there for a tour of App State and was only 10 minutes away. Also super close to Appalachian Ski Mountain.
