Its rural location is idyllic, and its location gives easy access to both Ripon and Harrogate in addition to the many splendours and delights of the North Yorkshire and its Countryside. Nikki merits special mention in this regard, while Linda started work early in order to make breakfast in time for the early start I needed to make..

I did not like being at the Sawley Arms for only 1 night! I intend to do my best to return for a longer stay!

Food was excellent, both dinners and breakfasts (I had two of each). Very friendly staff who made me feel welcome and were very helpful and attentive.

It would have been helpful to have instructions on how to turn things on and off - I couldn't locate or reach the switch to turn off the bathroom fan.

The rooms are beautiful, the bed was super comfy and the linen was luxurious. the bathroom was also beautiful and the shower was incredible. the room was very clean and organised. we also ate dinner on site it was the best food I’ve had for a long time. it was cooked and presented to a very high standard. the staff were very welcoming and friendly and always had a smile on their faces and nothing was too much trouble. I throughly enjoyed my stay and I can’t wait to come back.

convenient for weekends activity at Ripon Racecourse .some nice ‘ luxury ‘ touches eg molton brown products in bathroom,great shower - complete with TV ,generous tea& coffee supplies .Excellent food.very helpful staff.

the room was small which was ok for a solo traveller- but would have better as a single room - the bunk bed meant impossible for a not very tall adult to sit up in bed with a drink to watch TV or read .

Breakfast was superb, we also had lunch on arrival which was very nice. The rooms were excellent with really lovely bathrooms - many ''high end'' hotels could learn a lot from a visit here!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, the staff were fantastic, so welcoming and friendly and the food was amazing. Would definitely return. Beautiful rooms too and immaculately clean. All in all just perfect.

From start to finish the Staff could not do enough for us. The rooms are lovely and spacious with all modern amenities. The walk in shower is excellent, the silk bathrobes (a touch of elegance), and the lit mirrors were a particular favourite of my wife as it made her make up application a doddle at the dresser as well as in the bathroom. Lovely soft bed and plenty of wardrobe space. After sitting in the beer garden on a Sunny Friday afternoon having a beer we had an excellent meal on the Friday night with fantastic service. My steak and the blue cheese sauce was superb. Amongst other favourites were the Belly Pork, Caesar Salad and Gourmet Haddock. My shirt Collar had been caught in the suit carrier and when i asked for an Iron to rectify the problem Tracey very kindly helped sort it out by going above and beyond and pressing my shirt for the wedding (it only needed the collar but was much appreciated), many Thanks. Over our two nights Nicky was wonderful at breakfast attending to our every needs. The breakfast was another culinary treat, the traditional English which both me and my wife had.

Absolutely nothing. what is Not to like i havnt a bad word to say in any way about anything. if i was asked about the cleaning i could not complain , the place was spotless. Ask me and i will rebuff anyone elses complaints with my own experiences.

The breakfast was excellent as was the service. The location was ideal for our group. Lots of interesting places to visit within the area. The outside area was very attractive as well.

Beautiful surroundings, lovely quiet area, no road noise, amazing breakfast. The room had so much character yet very modern, they have thought of everything here!

The rooms are adjoining just with a internal door which had a gap along the bottom so not very private . Not much point having a TV in the bathroom as there is only a shower in there

as with many rental houses and barns we rent when we take the dogs people spend money making the place nice and then skimp on the beds ! the mattress was very soft but the rest of the room was lovely

Room 1 is absolutely gorgeous. Obviously newly renovated and very spacious, modern & stylish with everything you can think of. There's a sweet, secluded outside terrace and view over field. Couldn't imagine anything better.

Room was not tidied and made up after first night. Reason given was Covid but there were no Other Covid rules or restrictions in place

room was immaculate and clean. we stayed here as we were attending a wedding which was 2 mins away from we’re we stayed. A member of staff even drove us to the wedding venue which was a lovely thing to do and very much appreciated.
