The property itself to summarize it in three words needs TLC. The location is in a great area. This property is inside the Hideaways hotel but it’s privately owned so you cannot use any of the hotel amenities . I saw other villas from the actual hotel that were in way better conditions. The room was not clean enough it was very dusty and made my allergies worse. I wish I had cleaning supplies so I could clean the sand and dust myself. The room also had a weird smell all the time. To me it smelled moldy like humidity. The owner mentioned they had just recently painted although it did not smell like paint to us. This villa needs a makeover being in the exclusive beach location like Exumas it definitely needs more care. The only thing we enjoyed was the location since everything was close by and we enjoyed the outdoors more than anything else.

Great place to stay with our family. Central to everything. Kayaks a huge plus. Willie very nice and responsive! Splash bar on site is a great addition.

We enjoyed our stay here, especially 2 bathrooms. Close to Georgetown, the beach and a restaurant for times we didn’t want to drive. Also great that the grocery store in Georgetown was well stocked. Thank you for your hospitality

We had a very smooth arrival and check-in. We were treated promptly at the airport by Willy with our rental car that he had helped to secure for us. The property is clean and was perfect for our use. It’s steps from the beach and there are several nearby restaurants. A wonderful base for a stay on Exuma!

Easy process.

Place was very clean and excellent location! even though it's not part of resort the only thing you really miss out on just the pool, and who needs a tour when the ocean is just steps away? The owners graciously offer kayaks to use that you don't have to worry about missing out on availability! Even though you aren't part of the resort everyone is very friendly, and there are three restaurants within very short walking distance. Carol was so very helpful quick to answer any questions I had including a restaurant recommendation. Very gracious hosts indeed! They even had arranged a taxi to be waiting for us when our plane landed at the Exuma Airport!

This is the second time we have stayed in this Villa and it’s the perfect location and size. Carole was quick to respond and met us at the villa as promised. We didn't need a thing during our 8 day stay but if we had it’s nice to know they were close by and could help. Everything worked great, WiFi, TV, air conditioners... there were plenty of bath towels ..... and the washer and dryer are pretty much a luxury to have in your room on this island. Highly recommended :-)

This rental Villa is a delightful place to spend a Bahamas vacation and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was pretty much just as the VRBO listing states. The villa is located near George Town and is close to everything; airport, markets and the government dock for the water taxi to Stocking Island. The kitchen is stocked well enough with cookware and utensils to make simple meals. There were plenty of linens, bath bathroom towels and beach towels provided in villa. The only thing missing was some paper towel for the kitchen. There is a safe in the bedroom closet, but I was shock to find the safe itself is not attached to anything. The villa is definitely the right size for two and could easily work for a small family using the sofa bed. Restaurants are near by, we loved Mahi Mahi and Cracked Chicken at Splash. The local Fish Fry restaurants are an easy walk from the villa and Shirley’s was good choice. Contact with owners Carole and Charles was easy through the WhatsApp and they were attentive to our needs. As a previous guest has mention in the reviews the villa could use a deep cleaning. It’s livable clean on the surface, but needs some attention to the details. The bedroom A/C unit was not functioning upon arrival, but after three unannounced service visits it was repaired before we left. The rental is part of a resort property with multiple villas and this is privately owned by Carole and Charles. Rental of the villa does not provide you with free access to the resorts offerings, this includes the pool on the property. The pool looked very nice and inviting, but we did not attempt to use it preferring to spend time in the ocean. There are kayaks in the villa which is good because you will not have access to those at the resort. It seems that there is a bit of turf war occurring between the resort owner and the villa owners. This issue was made very apparent after noticing a sign near the property gate that reads: "NOTICE" Villa #** is not included in the licensed hotel program/operated/maintained by the ******** LTD. Hotel insurance coverage/amenities are not included. For hotel/resort services register at the ********* (fees apply). Be aware unregistered guest may be considered trespassers by Bahamian law. Something to consider when renting.In closing everyone we met in Exuma was so very nice and friendly. The locals made our vacation wonderful. So all in all it was a good stay at this VRBO property

The property is located at /on the Hideaways properties so it is a good location. Close to George Town, the airport and car rental. We enjoyed our time in Exuma. The host Carole was very helpful and very nice. Met us to check us in and gave us helpful information on travel before and during our stay. The villa had information on the area and things to do. The villa had TV and AC in the living room and an AC unit in the bedroom,,,...although the AC in the bedroom was not working as the remote was missing. We still were petty comfortable at night with ceiling fan. We did a lot of cooking and there are cooking supplies there. We did find the fan and light over the stove did not work. I am a stickler on clean and the villa could use a deep cleaning, ceiling fans, bathroom fans, inside the cabinets etc... Otherwise, it was pretty clean. It was nice to have the kayaks available to us ! We just never go t a chance to use them as we were very busy exploring. Over all the villa could use some updating and some repairs, but over all the place was comfortable for us and location great and that is why we booked it.

Great communication from Carole before we left for our trip! She was so kind to order us a taxi pick up and drop off to/from the airport (Rudy is awesome!) And because we arrived on Sunday after the grocery stores closed for the long weekend she picked up some coffee and breakfast essentials for us so we weren't stuck for 2days with no food! Carole was super available with suggestions from things to do from things to do, car rentals, best beaches to which boat tour to use. The villa is just as described, clean & spacious for 2 people, only steps from the beautiful water and beach, great morning views with your coffee, very quiet area and perfect location to walk and explore. It had everything we needed to make our meals but we went out for dinner mostly. We even took the kayaks out which was super fun! For dinners we ended up walking 10mins down the road to eat at the local Fish Fry (Shirley's) and had a few dance parties at the bar next door to Shirley's called Caribbean Flavour (be sure to say "HI" to Mark the bartender/owner - great drinks and great karaoke!). Splash Bar also great service and food is the closest as on the Hideaways resort. We also enjoyed the BBQ at Augusta Bay one night - delicious!! Highly recommend renting a car for a couple days to check out a few other beaches (Tropic of Cancer, CocoPlum, etc.) Absolutely take a water taxi (we used Elvis Taxi) to Stocking Island. We used Exuma Water Sports for a 1/2 day trip to see the swimming pigs - must see!! We also met some people who rented a boat which seemed like it would be a great idea too next time. BUT whatever you do... make sure you save at least 2 beach days for Jolly Hall beach which is a 5mins walk from the villa it's beyond the definition of paradise. We fell in love with Exuma on this trip and will definitely be back again one day! This villa is a perfect spot to use as your home base and a place to feel like home while you explore this beautiful island. Thank you Carole and Charles for making our trip so amazing! My husband and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon. Charles and Carole are EXTREMELY kind! They let us check in early because our flight arrived before check in time. They were very quick with answering any questions we had about anything. The condo was very clean! There was two bathrooms and two beds including the pull out in the living room which was so nice to have! The kitchen is stocked with all of the appliances you could need to cook a meal(although food on the island is very expensive!) We did have a bit of a problem with cockroaches in the condo the first few days which is expected on an island. When we told Carole and Charles about the cockroaches they were over in less than 15 minutes with Raid! It helped a lot and we didn't see very many the rest of our trip! The condo is not directly beach/ocean facing however the beach is just a few feet away! The condo is situated in a great location. It's super close to a few fun bars and restaurants and just a 5 minute walk to Jolly Hall beach! I would definitely recommend making the trip out to Hooper's bay to see the turtles! They were our favorite part of the trip! We had so much fun. Highly recommend!

nice cottage at Hideaways, good shuttle service to town and lovely beach with stunning water. good to get a water taxi to stocking island and feed the stingrays, also chat n chill is a great place to hang out. cottage was very clean, lots of towels and beach towels, could have done with a bottle of water in the fridge though, we got here very late as bahammasair messed our flight up and we had no dinner or food as the restaurant was closed at 9 pm. Thus we were lucky to get there in time to get some water and a beer. wi fi password was incorrect and we could not get it for all of our stay but very nice over all.

Siamo stati 4 notti in aprile in questo appartamento e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Si trova all’interno di un complesso con ristorante e a fianco c’e’ un resort in cui e’ possibile fare anche colazione. L’appartamento si trova in posizione ottima per girare l’isola ed e’ affacciato su una baia con acqua sempre calma e bellissima! L’appartamento è dotato di tutto il necessario ed è spazioso. Ci sono anche due kayak a disposizione e li userete sicuramente! Exuma è un’isola bellissima con spiagge da cartolina, spiagge quasi sempre deserte dove ci si può rilassare e caricare di energia. Gli abitanti sono persone splendide sempre pronte ad aiutarti ed è la cosa che ricorderemo per sempre. We love Exuma and Bahamas!!!! Consiglio a tutti di alloggiare in questo appartamento e Charles è pronto a darvi qualsiasi consiglio. Speriamo di tornare presto e sicuramente qui!

This was a wonderful vacation. The house was just perfect, everything as stated and more!! A big shout out to DJ, activity director, he made our trip really special something we will not forget soon. Most relaxing vacation I have ever had. See you soon

The Villa was very clean and great location. It was by 4 of the most excellent restaurant. The Latitude restaurant had great upscale food and the outside bar was so much fun with live music and DJ. Must go to Catch a Fire Restaurant it had the most spectacular sunsets. We ate there 4 times because food so good and the view. There is a hidden beach short walk - GO! It was so much fun, we are definitely coming back to Exuma and stay in this Villa!!! Love it!

Villa is steps away from the beach and in a convenient location. Can walk to fish fry and car rental company if needed.

We had a great stay - the villa was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The location is great, there's a nice little beach right outside the villa and it's a 5 minute walk along the water to Jolly Hall beach. Several restaurants and bars located within walking distance, and about a 15 minute drive to Georgetown. Carole was super helpful and friendly, arranged a rental car for us and was accommodating when we had a flight delay. We didn't need anything during our stay, but we had her number in our phone the whole time and it was great to know we could call her if anything came up. Pro tip, we learned that Elvis (the guy who runs the water taxi) will pick you up and drop you off right from Hideaways (the resort adjacent to the villas) on his runs to and from Stocking Island, so no need to drive to Georgetown to catch the water taxi.

I had a great vacation in Exuma Bahamas. Angie's villa was very nice and convenient to many places to eat. Very peaceful and restful vacation. I did not have a phone that would work in the Bahamas and it took me 2 days with Kingsley to find out I needed to by minutes to start with. I'm not sure if something was going on with Kingsley but he either didn't show up when he said he would or didn't show up at all. Despite that you would enjoy Angie's villa.

My wife, daughter and I had an awesome 8 days in Exuma. If you are looking for a reasonable, clean and well-located place for 2 or 3 people to stay I highly recommend this villa. Everything was a s represented and Kingsley was very helpful. No doubt we will return agaon.

we stayed at angie's place for a week. what a perfect setting. watching the sun rise over the waves gently rolling in. we used the kitchen a lot and hung out by the pool when we weren't exploring the island. it was an inauspicious start: there was no one to meet us at the airport (as planned) and when we arrived at the villa it was not cleaned. not ready. BUT: that was fixed in minutes and angie quickly offered to refund the first night's fee. how cool is that? there could have been a few more supplies, but given the arrival confusion, ok. some things to know; georgetown where there are groceries and supplies is about a mile. a taxi is ten bucks. for $90 we rented a car from thompson's right across the street from hideaways (which what the palm villas is now called). thompson's brother is robert of robert's island adventures. his crew took us on a half day pig-iguana-starfish-shark snorkel adventure. just five of us in the boat instead of 15... unparalleled. fish fry down the road is highly recommended. best food on island: santanas. next to best beach: tropic of cancer. take a trip to stocking island and pet the rays. just beware the bugs. we'll be back angie, thanks.

We had a great time and great experience at Hideaways! The staff were wonderful and the lodgings were exactly what you pay for - comfortable and accommodating. Some things to keep in mind if you travel to Exuma: 1. George Town is actually a bit more of a walk than you think - get a taxi or take the shuttle. 2. If you have to pick up some necessities/groceries go to Smitty's instead of Exuma Market. It's cleaner with a better selection. 3. Splash is cheaper than Latitudes, but Augusta Bay has the best food for their prices.
