Superb hosts and fantastic property.

We stayed at Windswept for 10 days in the Easter holidays this year and had the most fabulous time - so much so that we've rebooked for next year! The villa is spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony and reading (generally with a glass of wine or rum punch in hand!), and having netflix was a real bonus for our children. Whilst I wanted them to spend all there time outside, it does get hot in Barbados so some respite inside watching a film for an hour or two each day was perfect. Sugar Hill itself was outstanding - everyone was so friendly and we spent a lot of time over by the pool and restaurant. Our children were so happy there, which meant we felt rested too. The villa was just a couple of minutes' drive from the beach - our favourite was Gibbes (we like the peace and quiet) but there were so many to choose from. Marcia was super helpful, always responding to texts if we messaged her both before and during our stay. Amanda, the owner, was also really kind and communicative and allowed us to postpone our stay due to covid - it was well worth the wait!

Amanda’s Sugar Hill home was perfect for us, two couples on our first trip to Barbados. Before the trip both Amanda and the property manager, Marcia, reached out and gave us lots of useful information re places to book in advance, etc. Check in was very smooth and the property was exactly as advertised. It was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Sugar Hill is well located on the west side of Barbados close to many great beaches and restaurants. There is a large grocery store nearby and a cute little market and bakery right down the hill. We loved sitting out on the expansive porch listening to the birds and tree fogs. It was even a nice place to watch a morning storm or two. The facilities at Sugar Hill are great. We enjoyed both pools, the tennis courts and happy hour. I even took a yoga class one morning. All and all, a great place to stay.

Highly recommend Sugar Hill! Beautiful grounds, restaurant on site was great, we used the gym every day, plus lots of tennis with Olley the tennis pro was amazing. We stayed for 2+ weeks. Excellent communication and follow up with Amanda and Marcia. Favorite part of the house was enjoying the large terrace ! Only recommendation is some household items need updating but that shouldn’t deter anyone from staying at this home. We will be back!

The amenities at Sugar Hill (tennis courts, swimming pools) as well as the security and customer service at the clubhouse was excellent. We wanted a resort-style location so we could have regular, easy morning and evening walks with the children and my elderly mother. The location of this villa within the Sugar Hill resort, compared with other options, was perfect as it is close to the Clubhouse (an easy walk with pool/swimming equipment) and the entrance to Sugar Hill. We rented a car and it was always an easy drive to essentials (grocery, beach, bakery). Amanda (owner) and Marcia (house manager) were wonderful - responsive, helpful, thoughtful, proactive. They were able to give invaluable recommendations for babysitting, tennis lessons, swimming lessons, transportation services, emergency medical care, and other local needs. They checked in when they thought we might need help and provided lots of helpful information well in advance. Natasha, the housekeeper, was also very friendly and capable. We tried to avoid using the AC as much as possible (energy consumption very expensive in Barbados) and having the doors and windows open let in a perfect breeze, which we were comfortable in. I thoroughly recommend booking Windswept, we found it excellent value for the space, location, amenities, and service we received during our stay.

Contact with Amanda and Marcia (the property manager) was excellent. All correspondence and queries answered fully and promptly. The property is in an excellent location, close to the tennis courts, clubhouse and communal pool and benefits from extra large garden, fantastic view and cooling breezes on the spacious balcony. Everything we needed was there. We used the plunge pool everyday to cool off. Whilst the Hot Tub was being repaired whilst we were there, it did look like a great asset. The table tennis table kept the 17 year olds amused until they discovered scuba diving, water skiing, jet skiing, Rum punch and Banks beer. All in all a great location in a great country and a fantastic escape from COVID-19 Britain.

Clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Location was perfect, 5min drive to local grocery store and Limegrove. Other tourist attractions were 15-30min drive. The home was well stocked, staff was excellent! No complaints, and highly recommend this location for your Barbados stay.

Sugar Hill is set away from the hustle and bustle of Holetown, a short taxi-ride or slightly longer walk away. Equally, the beautiful Alleyne Bay was just as easy to get to. I have to agree with other reviews that just sitting on the balcony looking out across wonderful tropical gardens was an absolute pleasure. Sunsets were spectacular and the peaceful tranquility truly mesmerising.

Barbados is a wonderful island and Sugar hill is a lovely resort. Amanda and Marcia really look after you, don’t hesitate to book.

Great location at Sugar Hill and five minutes drive to the beach, Holetown also a short drive. Marcia was really helpful and there to welcome us and deal with any questions. Amenities at Sugar Hill were excellent super pool and restaurant. Amazing sunsets from the terrace, would definitely return.

This is our 3rd time at Sugar Hill but our 1st at Windswept. The villa is exactly as described in the narrative, its well appointed, nicely decorated, (master bed is HUGE!) airy, light, probably the best bit about it is the veranda off the lounge with stunning sea views and because its on the first floor gets amazing trade winds. We sat out here for hours, even when downstairs by the plunge pool was too hot due to little wind, it was always airy on the veranda - and sitting out here at night watching the stars and listening to the silence (well not quite..) but the silence and the frogs chirping - was fantastic. Communications with Amanda the owner were first class and she was always immediately responsive, even though there is a villa manager to deal with any queries. Because we have been before we didn't need much help but the offer to books trips, cars, reservations was there if needed, although Marcia did kindly arrange the taxi transfer for us. Sugar Hill is second to none, five minutes drive from Holetown and Limegrove, but secure (24 hour security), two massive pools to choose from the main one with a view to die for and because of clever positioning always nice breeze by the main pool, gym (though we were too lazy to use it!) and tennis courts, plus lovely to walk around, the whole complex is immaculate. Club House is lovely with nice restaurant (although opening less hours due to low season). Though we used the main pool more for swimming, the plunge pool at the villa is handy - but we did surprisingly use the jacuzzi a few times at night, was fab! nice extra. Almost didn't want to write this review wanted to keep SH a secret! Windswept is lovely, thanks Amanda

The house is clean and modern, very nicely decorated. We traveled with two small kids and they felt at home right away. They loved the pool across the street and the small restaurant served nice food that the whole family enjoyed. Amanda was a very friendly and efficient communicator. We highly recommend this property.
