We were in Fort Calhoun for a family celebration. We needed overflow for out-of-town guests. This property was perfect for our needs. It was spacious and comfortable.

Super kitchen-two large ovens, more refrigerators than we needed, every utensil, pan, etc. anyone could need. Lots of lovely outdoor space, including deck space. Hiking trails very nice. Indoor spaces conducive to family gatherings. It would be helpful to have better directions as to where extra beds are. There were 12 of us and one couple had difficulty finding comfortable bed. We very much enjoyed our stay in the beautiful house and surroundings.

Had a wonderful relaxing time. Highly recommend. NOT handicapped accessible.

Very family friendly property with tons of space to spend time alone or gather in rooms as a large group. Hummingbirds and butterflies galore! We will be back!

8 Adults and 5 children stayed over a long weekend. Everyone just loved this property. There is tons of room and lots to do. We enjoyed the basement rec room with a bar and ping pong and pool table. Nice outdoor areas to hang out. Make sure to climb the pathway to the top of the property for a gorgeous view with a great swing. Very easy check in, everything you could have possible needed to cook meals. We grilled and used the ovens (there are two ovens). You feel very secluded but are close to grocery and gas stations. We went to the Zoo and Drive through Safari in Omaha. Only about 30-40 minute drive to both. So we were able to enjoy all that Omaha had to offer but stayed away from all the big city craziness. Mark was quick to respond when I had a question. Thank you for opening your home up to us. We absolutely had a fantastic time!!!!

Beautiful property, equipped with everything you need!! We stayed last yr and loved it so much, we booked it again. Owner responds quickly.

Wonderful! We had two sons and families and a daughter with us. Even though we were inside most of the time, we had so much to do and explore. Coffee/Tea Station saved everyone as we snuggled, played games and toys, pool and pingpong, cards, and talked near the fire. The car track was a favorite for our 5 under 6. Loved the tree and decor. Had a super family time!!!!!

What a great house for our family Christmas. The home was very comfortable with everything we needed for the long weekend. We especially enjoyed the Christmas tree and decorations inside and out. The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes necessary for our Christmas feast. The pool table and outdoor fire pit were hits for evening fun. The hosts did an excellent job setting up the house with helpful notes and communications throughout our stay. Thank you for all the wonderful memories!

Very clean house and quite neighborhood.

We enjoy our stay very much and foud the property in great condition. It was rather warm the days we were there but the air conditioner kept up with the heat. The kitchen had everything we needed to fix and serve our meals. We spent lots of time outside on the Patios which were in excellent condition also.

We had my daughters birthday party over a weekend stay, and it was PERFECT. We live in Omaha, but wanted to feel like we were "out of town", without a long drive. This property did not disappoint. Plenty of areas (inside and out) for EVERYONE to hang out, without ever having to be in the same place. TONS of space! And the ping-pong table, pool table, and karaoke machine were a hit with the kids. I really enjoyed the spacious property, areas to nature walk, the wildlife, the beautiful log cabin home, the decor, and the views from the decks in the morning/evening. (Coffee on the master bedroom deck in the morning was the BEST!) Everything inside and out is provided to help make your vacation/occasion experience worry free. It is really a fantastic property, and I would highly recommend!

The home was amazing. My family was very comfortable and the beds were great. The grounds and trails were immaculate. Would definitely recommend for a large family.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was much more neighborhood than I expected (not quite as secluded) and the home was much more lived in than I expected (meaning pantry and drawers filled with what seemed to be all personal items) so it felt a little awkward at first, like someone would be coming home any minute (as described by my teenagers). It was a beautiful space and a beautiful home and weather was unkind to us so we were pretty much left to only inside fun. Thank goodness for the ping pong and pool table! We got to teach our youngest to play and uncovered our oldest has possibly been moonlighting as a pool shark the past couple of years! Lol. Welcome instructions were easy to follow and contact with owner was a breeze, so responsiveness. Thank you!

This rental is a beautiful log lodge. Due to the extreme cold we were not able to enjoy a walk on the 5 acre property so much of our time was spent enjoying playing pool and pong. We are not picky renters - however, for the amount we paid we expected much less dust and a more welcoming atmosphere. Such as having wood ready for the fireplace or a bottle of wine for valentines day. This could be well worth the price paid if we felt more was done to make us feel at home rather than staying in someone else's house while they were away for the weekend.

Absolutely stunning!! It was every thing I imagined, from the natural beauty of the wood work to the perfect decoration with an absolute gorgeous Christmas 🎄tree. Due to COVID19, we celebrated Christmas all 3 days of our stay with different family members. Everyone fell in love with the lodge. We even had a special visit from Santa (husband) for our grandchildren. Oh, the sparkle in there eyes and their excitement brought tears to my eyes!! Our stay was fantastic and well worth the money. We loved it so much, we are already talking about reserving it again next yr. We definitely recommend Dancing Bear Lodge for any event or just want to get away from the city life, slow down and enjoy some quiet quality time with the family. Thank you Mark for everything! So impressed with this home! Cozy, comfortable, roomy. Everything we needed was available. Took a short hike up the hill, what an awesome view! The home was decorated for the holidays inside and out. Beautifully done! Would love to stay here in the summertime!

We were on a small staff retreat and we were looking for a place where we could socially distance and still enjoy our time together. This cabin was perfect! It has plenty of bedrooms spaces bathrooms and areas to gather where we could spread out. The property is gorgeous with trees and the owners had it all decorated for Christmas and it was just breathtaking. It was quiet comfy cozy and all the things that you would hope for in a cabin. We would definitely go again.

Perfect setting for our family gathering. We celebrated 4 - 40th family birthdays. Dancing Bear was perfect for us. We enjoyed hors d’oeuvres in the kitchen. Dinner in the dining room. Enjoy an evening around the fire pit. Finished up our night with a few games of ping pong and shooting pool. Enjoyed our morning brunch in the living room. Very comfortable home. We took advantage of all of it. Great Family Staycation. (We all live about 45 minutes away.)

From the engagement with the property manager, to the feel of each room in the large house, Dancing Bear Lodge does not disappoint. We had a group of 9 ladies and not once, did we not have and/or find what we needed to make this trip so memorable. We used every space of the house, including enjoying family style meals at the large dinning room table and hanging out in the downstairs bar. In addition, we did morning strolls throughout the neighborhood and we were welcomed by the locals at the small, quaint establishments. Thank you for making our trip so special.

This is our second time staying at this location and it is always a treat. Love everything about the cabin and the space. They have everything you could think of and the views are spectacular!

Our entire family enjoyed our long weekend at Dancing Bear Lodge! We have stayed at many VRBO properties and I would say this one was the most equipped with cooking supplies and toys/games. We enjoyed exploring the outdoors and just the cozy vibes of being together in this quaint log home.

We loved the cabin, it was beautiful. Lots of things to do with the ping pong table and pool table. Also, nice trails to walk on. The pull-out couch didn’t work but wasn’t a big deal. I’m sure it will be replaced. I would recommend staying here to anyone as they would love it!

Perfect for our needs, we want to book it again for our next holiday gathering!
