It was peaceful place. Well taken care of. The property managers were fantastic. Tho only small issue we had was the cleaning lady just walked into the house while we were there.

My wife, myself, and my brother stayed for four nights.We all said that this is by far the most amazing vacation rental home we have stayed in! The house and the location are incredible. When we weren't off to a nearby adventure we spent our time on the wraparound deck to watch birds and bats and hear the jungle sounds or just take in the amazing view. The indoor pool was perfect to come in and cool off occasionally. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing meals or making a nice cool frozen drink. The only thing I would suggest here is a LifeWater or high quality pitcher water filter. The water from the tap is from a mountain stream and has some sediment. The furnishings were luxurious and cozy. The soft bed was a godsend after the stiff board mattresses from our last four places! The only criticisms we had was not with the accommodation. Hopefully these will help management. The house keeper was late arriving to let us in at the late afternoon scheduled time and the house was shut up in hot/humid weather without AC on. While she led us around on a very brief tour (thank God) we were sweating buckets. There were a few basic maintenance items that have gone unresolved including a broken kitchen faucet and the master shower which is backwards so all you can get is tepidly warm water. The front door doesn't latch properly so it has to be locked in order to stay closed. The most unfortunate thing was the two skinny tick laden hound dogs kept in small kennels.

Memorable stay at this huge house along the Hummingbird Hwy. Great views from the hilltop location, enjoyed the indoor pool and both indoor/outdoor places to lounge about, relax and visit with friends.

This amazing property is probably the nicest vrbo we've ever stayed in. Every detail is perfection.

There are so many great reviews of this property but I wanted to add to it. The home is spacious and beautiful and there are so many lovely details and fixtures. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals but we had Sandy, Lucy's daughter prepare 2 dinners for us. I highly recommend asking her to make stewed chicken, rice and beans, and fried plantains. The indoor pool is wonderful, just what we needed after the hot, humid days out sightseeing. There is a washer and dryer, making it easier to pack lighter. There is a guestbook in the entryway, I highly recommend reading through it to get recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We went to the restaurant at the Sleeping Giant Resort and it was amazing. Best service I've ever had. Ask to be seated at one of Hailey's tables, she's an amazing server. A few reviewers mentioned bringing bug spray and I used OFF brand picardin and was diligent about using it and didn't not get any bites. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer in this beautiful home.

This is more than just a house. It is a borderline resort. The house is incredibly private with an indoor pool. The BR’s are air conditioned and have very, very high end bedding. The house is furnished with plush couches and chairs. Full kitchen and huge DR. It’s overlooking mountains on 3 sides and worth every cent I paid. Great location to take day trips to Placencia and Ruins. Close to your companies running cave and waterfall tours. Wholeheartedly recommend.

This is our first time to Belize and we could not have found a more perfect place to stay! The house was immaculate cleaned, and well maintained by Lucy and Polo. Both of them were very delightful! The two young puppies (Blacky and Boy) really made us feel at home. If you want bto stay at a beautiful location in the mountains this is the perfect done. Property is a ways away from Belize City, but the drive was nice and communication was great via email. Property is tucked away on the edge of the jungle and absolutely gorgeous and spotless clean! Very relaxing and was the perfect start to our trip to be alone away from everything for a few days but not far from the beach and other activities. The property manager is a very nice man named Polo and he was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions! The pool was great to cool off between meals and activities and the whole house is so relaxing. The bedrooms are awesome with the coldest AC I've experienced in all of Central America so far. So cold we slept under the blankets which was so nice after sweating in the sun all day. If you are looking to party for 3 days at night clubs this isn't the spot for you, but if you want to relax and enjoy the beauty around you for a few days this is the spot. Cut up fresh fruit and freeze it for delicious smoothies and the water is great and purified! This was the perfect start to our honeymoon, to relax from travel, get away from the world and feel the romance of the moment.

This house was everything anyone could want in a vacation home! Private, secluded, and still within a short drive of so many things to do. We drove to nearby towns on the coast, and to the ruins over by Guatemala. The wildlife was fun to watch and listen to. Howler monkeys at night just added to the mystique of the property. Sandy's cooking was just an added bonus! It was nice to enjoy the same food the locals like. We'd recommend this property to any and all considering staying here!

My group of four had an amazing time at Hilltop house. The property is huge, stunning, immaculately kept and very luxurious - one of the best rental properties I've been lucky enough to stay in. Property manager Polo was always available for anything we needed. He waited by the road for us when we arrived late and after dark, collected fresh coconut water for us, kept us stocked with fresh fruit from the grounds, and even washed our dusty rental car! The house is well stocked with kitchen gear and linens. The beds were ridiculously comfortable and the pool was blissful! Not to mention those jaw-dropping views from the wrap-around deck - we saw toucans flying in the evenings! This place is glamorous, well situated to many nearby activities, and comfortable to the max - I could not recommend it more highly!

We enjoyed absolutely everything about Hilltop House. The pictures on the website are understated compared to the real beauty of this house! The views of the mountains and the valley are breath-taking, the activities in the area were diverse and entertaining. Polo was an absolute gem and being able to hire Sandra to come and cook for us every night just made our vacation so restful and relaxing. Coming in March was ideal as we did not have any mosquito issues and fortunately nobody in our group suffered effects from the tiny no-seeums. This house is beyond anything we could have expected. It is beautiful and the views are outstanding. We didn't want to leave each day to go exploring. Polo was helpful and directed us to things to do and was available to assist if we needed anything. I highly recommend this house it will make your Belize trip the most memorable trip you ever take. So many things to do in the area so you have a nice central place to come back to each day.

The Hilltop House is nothing short of amazing! Every detail is absolutely beautiful! Polo, the grounds keeper, brought us green coconuts one morning, and sliced off a section so we could drink the coconut water! He is truly a wonderful person to have around! The pool was fantastic! This house and host are the very best! Theala, Polo, and Lucy all made sure that my stay was comfortable and that I had everything I needed. I decided to go to Belize for my birthday and Christmas. Theala's directions were perfect to a T as well as her suggestions. The house is absolutely perfect. The kitchen is fulled stocked with utensils for a foodie or a novice. The pool amazingly relaxing after being out on hiking excursions etc. The wrap around terrace with fire pit provide you with magical views in every direction and no matter the time of day. Sun and moon rises are breath taking as well as sun sets. Traveling alone I felt very safe in this house. Do yourself a favor and rent a truck you will need it with some of the roads as well as driving up to Hilltop House. While there be sure to visit the blue hole, St hermans cave, the waterfalls all not far from the house as well as the Lamanai coffee and Chocolate tour a quick lazy informational and tasty Mayan traditional chocolate making right before your eyes. I want everyone to enjoy this house and property as I did - but beware I will be back over and over so you may have a tough time getting a reservation ;) Thank you Jackson family for helping make my trip the best ever!

We were blown away by this property, it is absolutely incredible. The property is about a 100 acres in size and has first class landscaping. The caretaker, Polo, was very friendly and saw to our needs. The photographs of the home do not do it justice. The doors, both exterior and interior, are majestic. The pool in the interior enclosed courtyard is heated, and tastefully decorated. The two master suites are ridiculously huge. There is a dining room with seating for 12 and a huge kitchen. The view from the exterior porch is breathtaking. I have traveled all over Belize on multiple trips and can guarantee this is the finest accommodations you will find on the mainland, if not the whole country. The property is about 27 miles from Hopkins, which has many restaurants and activities. If this property is available for the dates of your stay, book it immediately.

The exterior of the house and the grounds are beautiful. The view is amazing. Was not thrilled with the layout of the interior. Pools should be outdoors. The pool only seemed to add to the humid muggy feeling inside the house. Would loved to have spent more time at the house, but by 10 am it was too hot to be inside and couldn't comfortably enjoy the outside because of insects. Kitchen is opposite side of home from basically everything else, so I always felt secluded while preparing meals. And if you were grilling out back you will run yourself to death. Beds and bedroom were very comfortable with the only A/C in the house. We ended up sleeping in guest bedroom because of terrible odor coming from master bathroom. I took a few days to collect my thoughts before posting my review because I was torn. On one hand this is an awesome home, but on the other hand it was definitely not perfect. The Wi-Fi worked well but no TV which was not that unpleasant for us. A break from the world we live in was probably the best part as far as we are concerned. We stayed there for 2 weeks in early September. I would not have been able to stay there if it had been any hotter. My husband had a good time with all the creepy crawling things around house. Snakes, huge spiders and scorpions, bats ect... But we never found anything inside house except for small lizards. Polo the groundskeeper was awesome. Brought fresh coconuts, kept pool full and even washed our rental car after the first week. All in all we had a great time. Belize is awesome. Get out there and see everything you possibly can.

We came to this magical house for our honeymoon, it was nothing short of magical.. if you're looking for complete privacy and some peace and quiet literally above the jungle this is the place to go!! I've never felt so relaxed and peaceful in a house before. We felt safe and very well taken care of. Polo, the groundskeeper was so amazing with anything we needed, also Lucy had the house perfectly in tact and even had a special gift for us upon arrival because she knew it was our honeymoon, it was so sweet. Pepper the dog really grew on me also, I will miss her so much. Thank you so much for having this home available for people to experience.. our honeymoon was more magical than we could ever imagine. Although the house is pretty far away from anything (we knew that before booking) it was well worth the drive if it meant staying here. We will forsure be back in the future.. we already have lots of people asking about our amazing honeymoon house!!.

This home was nothing short of spectacular. From the time of booking Thaela was punctual and on point with any questions. Polo and Lucy were both very helpful! This home is in my opinion the nicest home in all of Belize. No details were left out of this home. The deck and pool made for an amazing nightly experience. The WiFi worked flawlessly and the driveway was totally fine for us in our SUV.
