We had a wonderful time with family at this home. It’s location is unmatched and better than we could have hoped. One of a kind and stunning views of the cape and easy access to stream and arch. Our family loved our stay!

We rarely get the opportunity together as a family. The location, room configuration, large common area, activities on the beach, proximity to the beach and the inventory to accommodate us all was perfect! We have had the most wonderful weekend and everything about your home has left a beautiful impression on us! Thanks so much for opening up your home!

I can’t stress enough how incredibly beautiful this property is. It’s well taken care of and with a breathtaking view of the ocean.

Any time diverse family members come together there is potential for conflict but not at Happy Clam. There was something for everyone of all ages and interests. After enjoying the beach walks, hiking, surfing, shopping, spa day, breweries, etc., we were all able to reunite with joyful spirits back at the Happy Clam to enjoy cocktails, a gorgeous sunset, a home cooked meal and comaradarie and board games against the backdrop of a roaring fire. Lovely, just lovely!

One of the best VRBO’s I’ve used. Very well appointed. Great beads with high end bedding. The views are amazing with the feel of a private beach alcove. We will definitely be going back!

This was the best vacation rental I have ever stayed in! I organized a family reunion and this property seemed perfect! I didn’t realize just how perfect it was!! The beds were comfortable, plenty of room, layout was fantastic and the view and deck were superb!! Use the path to get to the beach, not the rocks. Easier that way! The kitchen was wonderfully stocked! The only thing I had to get was Kleenex. No big deal! Loved our perfect family vacation!!!

First, we were very pleased with the property. All furniture was in very good shape. Location was absolutely fantastic. Last house in the row, so nice and quiet. Outstanding deck with plenty of comfortable chairs. Great views from inside the house. There are a couple of things that are easy to work with, if you plan ahead, and don't hinder the overall value of the rental, IMO. 1) Parking is tight if your family does not carpool together. We did fine with 5 cars, but 6 would have been a problem. 2) The dishwasher is small. Takes two loads sometimes. 3) Oven is small, but the stovetop and barbecue are good-sized. Just plan meals accordingly.

Kathleen your home and location are stunning!!! Every one loved our stay (11 of us). The only suggestion for a better stay from someone who has a vrbo rental is to provide a couple of nonstick skilets other then that your home was perfect. I have never stayed anywhere where the beds are so comfortable everyone loved them. I would have liked to have packed them up and took them home. 4 generations, ages ranging from 4 yo to 89. This place was perfect! Just walking in the house and going straight out to that incredible deck. Loved watching the waves, exploring the tidal pools, flying kites, grilling on the deck, chilling on the deck. This was our first visit but we’re already planning another ❤️

Beautiful home with the most wonderful view. This is the perfect place to make memories with your family. The managers are very helpful and responsive . This has become one of our families favorite vacation homes.

Very nice home, lots of room for family and right on the beach. Parking is a challenge, four cars are only possible if they are all compacts. One spot is extremely narrow, and the "extra" parking that is available a block away at the public access point.

This property had spectacular views in every direction! If you want quiet and secluded this is the house for you. The proximity to the beach was incredible and not a far drive to nearby towns and trails. The bathrooms have been recently updated and were beautiful. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare a nice meal. Will definitely stay here again!

Our first rental in Arch Cape and it was amazing! This house is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Just 10 minutes to Cannon Beach and 30 to Seaside. The bedding was very good quality, towels were clean and plenty. Even small touches like eye makeup remover towelettes and all the spices a cook might need. Everything inside has been recently updated and the views are breathtaking. There was some dust on the surfaces and a little dirt under the couches, other then that everything was clean. Management was easy to reach via email and phone. Also make sure you are parking exactly how the diagram shows, parking is shared with neighbors and they threatened to tow our car when we parked in their area. Definitely plan to come back next year.

This property was beautiful, unfortunately the weather wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. I loved the location and the ease of beach access. I truly wish the weather had been better for our stay but it’s hard to look out those big windows to the Ocean and be unhappy even in crappy weather. The house was worth it. And I loved the water bottles that we got when we got there. Everything we needed was in the house, well stocked and maintained. Beds were comfortable and my favorite part, aside from the view, was the master bathroom.

This was our 50th wedding anniversary celebration with our kids and grandkids, the house as a perfect size, great views we all were sad when we had to leave. We had a great time and did some shopping in Cannon Beach and Seaside. Thank you

The name “Happy Clam” doesn’t do justice this beautiful place— unless Venus herself were rising from it. The view is stunning, the location by the headland wonderful, the decor elegant, and the kitchen well-equipped. And the beach beckons right outside the door.

This home was everything we had hoped for and more. I have had this VRBO listing saved in my favorites in hopes of one day being able to plan a trip. I decided my 45th birthday was the perfect time to so. Every room was beautiful, comfortable, updated, and just plain awesome. The views were breathtaking and the property was private and on a gorgeous stretch of beach. My two girls had a blast looking for seashells and playing in the waves. Thank you for the memories and for opening up your lovely home to us.

This property was perfect for a relaxing family weekend. The views with easy access to the beach made for some relaxing beachcomber. The well stocked kitchen made mealtime quick and easy. The bedrooms were quiet and comfortable. Beds were a little high for the octogenarians in our group. It would be nice if there was one bed that was a little lower and the powdered laundry soap in an open container on top of the stack washer seems dangerous to the eyes for us short people. I'd suggest laundry sheets or pods for safety if storing about head height but having access to laundry meant no wet, sandy clothes coming home so no real complaint!

We had an amazing time! The house is lovely and beautifully furnished, the views are amazing, and Arch Cape and the surrounding areas offer opportunities for everyone. Highly recommended!

Our group of 10 had a hard time getting comfortable to hang out all together. We also could tell there weren't enough dining chairs in photos so we brought some with us.

This place is "knock your socks off" beautiful. Ocean is so close and that stretch of beach is private and exciting. The house was comfortable, luxurious and well cared for. Everything was delightful, we'll definitely be back!

The second family came from Bothell, WA (3), and my wife and I came from Vancouver, WA. It would have been very difficult to find a better place than The Happy Clam. This vacation home worked out perfectly. As advised I brought sufficient firewood so we could all enjoy the warmth of the nice fireplace. It also worked out well for drying shoes and boots that did get soaked from the many encounters the family members had with the stormy ocean. The grandkids had their own polar bear club as they braved the crashing waves on their swimming gear. The Happy Clam is a well appointed spacious house located in a great sea side location, both for viewing and actively engaging the surrounding outdoor amenities. I will happily recommend this rental to anyone who would enjoy these amenities. The owner , Kathleen, and manager, Adrienne, were readily available to answer any questions to ensure our stay was pleasant and rewarding for our family.

9 of us stayed here during a rainy December weekend to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday. This home is amazing and better than the pics, and more updated. There is no carpet, all the flooring appears new. This house was incredibly comfortable for everyone in our group, we had an amazing trip. It is well stocked and so nice to wake to that beautiful ocean view. We walked on the beach everyday, it’s only a few easy steps away. The house is at the end of the street and so feels very private. We would love to come back here someday :)

We had 3 generations come together from California and Washington for a wonderful few days in your home. Everyone agreed it was the best place we have rented yet. We get s house in the Oregon coast every other year. Our group keeps growing so we were happy to find one they could accommodate us all so well. Thank you for your hospitality.
