Everything was excellent. Plenty of room for all of us to enjoy our children’s engagement weekend. Love the fire pit! And all the extras that were in the garage for our use. Coolers, beach chairs… very well equipped! Would love to stay again!

Stayed 8 adults. Had a great time. Can't get a better Carlsbad location!!! Private and had everything we needed. 2 adults had to sleep on bunk bed twins and those seemed to be just kid foam mattresses, so for kids, ok --- but older adults, they were not comfortable. Weird thick plastic covers on two of the larger bed mattresses, under the sheets, that our family members said were noisy when they moved around. Not sure why they are on there and on only two of the 3 large beds. Could use a little more seating in living room (only 6 could sit in chairs or on couch) and couch is weirdly hard and uncomfortable. Not a good kitchen table area to eat for group. This is an older home that has been remodeled nicely. Anything that is a little negative is outweighed by the location and price and we were not there to sit in the house, but to go to beach and surrounding area activities. Overall we were pleased. Loved the views. It has everything we needed and great for our short stay of 3 nights. Property management communicated well and check in/out was easy.

Overall, we had a great stay with family and friends. Can’t beat the location! Across from the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops. The only complaint is the house was not super clean. We had a lot of hair on the floor in bathrooms. It also would have been nice to have a few more kitchen items (a bigger coffee pot) and maybe some cooking spray. But overall, it’s a wonderful home and we would stay again.

Beautiful weather until Hurricane Hilary came to visit. There was so much talk in towne regarding the hurricane,I decided to leave a day earlier. However we enjoyed our stay and will return next Year.

Everything was great and as described. Location was perfect. Short walk to the beach. Short walk to downtown. Restaurant less than a block away. The wagon and beach toys were super useful!

Visiting this area for the first time with my two adult sons and a daughter in law for a long weekend. Location of this house is perfect...as the description says it is directly across from the beach with easy access ( across a main road). Easy 10 minute walk to restaurants , bars, and shops.House was enjoyable and clean....beds were fairly comfortable and pillows were super comfy! Would agree with suggestions of screen on sliding glass door and screen doors to allow for cross breeze through the house. Windows could be open for breeze and ceiling fans worked fine as there is no AC, which is Not necessarily needed. Beach chairs and umbrellas could be replaced with new ones but worked fine and was nice to have along with wagon to cart everything to the beach. Fire pit also made for cozy evenings. Easy entry into property with simple instructions and all things working properly. Overall very enjoyable and would definitely return to this property. Thank you!!

Our family loved our stay in Carlsbad! The rental was just as described and was the perfect location for beach fun. Our family really appreciated the fenced yard, fire pit, beach items, and the ocean view. We hope to return in the future. 🏖️

Pleasant and comfortable

This home has such a great location! We were able to simply cross the street and enjoy the beach for surfing and sunsets without having to worry about finding that dreaded parking spot. It’s close to everything and the layout is great! We have VRBO’d several homes in the area and this by far was the best for our needs. We will be be back!

The location is great! The interior was clean. Dishes were all clean. The beach is right across the street. Downside: no a/c, no screen doors to let the breeze in, beds are really uncomfortable, bathrooms are tiny, living room needs more comfortable seating, outdoor space needs attention, needs pest control services for ants and spiders. We had expected more for the price.

Perfect location to the beach.

This location has the best view of the ocean and the sun sets! You can't beat it! The yard is so big there is plenty of room for games, BBQ and relaxing. The parking is great too. The house works well for our 9 people. I recommend this house. This was our second time here and am sure we will be back!!

This property is lovely and just as described online. The location is perfect and seems to be in a great neighborhood. The only drawbacks to keep in mind when booking: - There are zero spices, etc in the kitchen, not even salt and pepper - Some of the beach chairs are broken and one boogie board is missing a strap. At this price point all beach equipment should be in working order, as described on listing. - The cleaning fee is double the fee of similar listings, and yet you are still asked to take out trash, start dishwasher, and start laundry. We did have a great stay. It is a great property to families. However, I can not say for sure we would be back due to these small issues.

Our overall impression was positive. The house was clean. The location was excellent - walking distance to food, shops, etc. And the beach was right across the street! Nine of us fit comfortably in the house. There were plenty of towels and extra bedding. And lots of parking. My only suggestions: - the yard needed some serious weeding/maintenance - screens on the slider would be great so we could enjoy the breeze and ocean sounds from the living room - the cleaning fee was awfully high, especially since we were asked to start laundry, run the dishwasher, and empty the trash before leaving Overall, though, it was a nice place to stay...clean, safe, and convenient. We would recommend.

Can’t beat the location of this property. Our second time staying there. Nice outdoor area too.

The house is a great little hideaway by the beach. The property is huge and the house has everything you need, but the star is the location. Just walk across the cross walk and you’re there - it’s that easy. The renting process was also seamless and the owner was responsive. Just a pleasant experience all around.

Great location right by the beach!

The location and ocean view was great. The parking and and yard are ample in which was a driving factor for booking, along with being pet friendly. Slight problem with the heater, but the matter was addressed quickly.

We had a wonderful time staying at this Carlsbad beach house! Conveniently located next to the beach and walking distance to restaurants. Comfortable and clean. Beach towels and beach accessories were an added bonus. Cheryl was prompt and friendly!

Overall, the property was just what we needed for our stay. There is no A/C which was not an issue for us since we were there during a relatively cool period. However, it would have been helpful to have a screen door with the sliding door to allow for more airflow. There was an issue with the hot water heater the day before we left which was unresolved. The pilot light would not stay lit and as a result we had minimal hot water. Property manager was quick to respond. It would have been helpful to have basic toiletries on site such as shampoo/conditioner, body wash, sunscreen, toothpaste, etc. as well as basic food needs such as salt/pepper, condiments, spices, cooking oil. I really appreciated the beach towels, chairs--though one was broken., and sand toys. Having laundry on-site was wonderful. The location was perfect. We walked to "downtown" Carlsbad within 8-10 mins.
