This is a very nice property. Two Studios each with all you need. We slept in one, and lived out of the other. The beach is protected and gives a very secluded feel. The water was excellent, we could walk 100 yards (perhaps more) from the short and only be waist high in the water. Owners were great. Connected us with fishing, golf cart rental, cook and massage on property! Property manager was very responsive. Some observations. The house is quite a ways up the peninsula. There are groceries about 10 min south, but a better grocery store us just north of the airpot (Publics). We rented a golf cart to get to and from the airport and to get to and from restaurants. What we learned is that they limit the speed of the golf carts - for very valid safety reasons. We didn’t mind because we got to take in all the houses, the coast, the lagoon etc while in the golf cart. I think in the rainy season, we would get a car! We went to Maya Bistro, 1981, Green Parrot, the Brew Barge and the Placencia for meals. Enjoyed them all. Maya Bistro was best, followed by 1981. The whole Placencia peninsula is very laid back. Someone commented that it reminds you Key West 40 years ago. If you are looking to party hard, not your place. If you are looking to just relax and decompress, this is your spot.

From the beginning, we felt at home and welcome at the cabanas. The location made it easy to experience the entire peninsula of food and culture. We had the perfect balance of relaxation and peace and quiet and adventure. The cabanas were well stocked and furnished beautifully. We hope to be back soon.

We definitely suggest renting a kart or car as its about 15 minutes to head down to Placencia, but we thoroughly enjoyed not being in the city. The cabanas were quiet and simply well thought out. We seriously suggest getting breakfast from Maya Resort Bistro and dinner from Vern's in the Garifuna town. Definitely will be back to enjoy again!

Oceanside cabanas is a great place for two couples. We enjoyed wading out from our cabana into the ocean, where we caught bone fish, snapper, jacks, ballyhoo and even a ray! The accommodations are first class. Make sure to have dinner at the Bonefish grill at the Singing Sands and 1981 at Naia resort.
