This is the 1st time we have rented a vacation home instead of staying in a hotel. It was so much more relaxing being together with family instead of having to separate at night & travel back & forth between a hotel & the family we are visiting.

It was great to be so close to the beach. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable and the backyard is really lovely.

We booked this quaint little beach house for a weekend getaway on the coast and everything about it was delightful. The location is perfect! The house is clean, well maintained and the perfect size. The fenced in yard was a tropical paradise that my dogs never wanted to leave. In fact, none of us wanted to leave! Kyle was the consummate host. He responded to the questions we had immediately. I’d book this property again in a heartbeat.

Quiet beach bungalow with lots of space for a small family. Large backyard that our toddler and dogs loved. Easy walk to downtown Carlsbad (the village), 1 block from the beach. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested in staying in a pet friendly place in north county

My daughters and I loved staying in this perfect bungalow. We easily walked to the beach and the village, played ball with our dog out in the big back yard, and sunbathed on the deck. All 3 of us wished we had a house just like this one. It's sunny and roomy and the furnishings are comfy. Quiet at night. Well-equipped kitchen. Beach toys and chairs. Even yard games. A great place to have spent our vacation.

We had a wonderful time! The house was quaint and spacious. Beach assess was amazing, one block! Also super close to shops, restaurants and the village. We walked to get dinner and lunch, and enjoyed all the views! The beds were super comfortable!, we had all we needed and it was Perfect get away! Thank you Kyle and Vanessa

Perfect location for all things Carlsbad! My family enjoyed the quick walk to the beach, short distance to the village and the large patio and backyard was a plus. Will definitely be back and would love to stay here again!

Overall, the house was as described in the listing. It has all the basics needed and is only a block from the beach. The backyard is great for kids and dogs. Also, the owner is also communicative and helpful as needed. The only mild disappointment encountered during our stay was in relation to the neighborhood, not the house itself - there are multiple active construction sites near the home making early morning noise a slight issue if you are looking to sleep undisturbed past 7ish AM. Other than that, all was well!

We spent a lovely weekend at the Ultimate Beach Bungalow. We loved that it was just a block from the beach — location can't be beat! Easy walk to downtown Carlsbad (one of our favorite CA towns). Long driveway allowed us to park well away from the street. Very comfortable beds. Nice, comfortable living room. Wonderful back deck and yard. Felt quite private — very little noise. Kitchen was clean, updated, and well stocked with newer appliances and pots & pans. We would definitely stay here again if we're in the area!

This home is so close to the beach - I was beside myself with happiness. My sister and mom and I spent 5 days here and made many wonderful memories visiting. The property is just as described, the location is amazing and the amenities are all that you need. The yard is huge, the deck is lovely, there’s driveway parking and a washer and drier! I was surprised to find that one of the two sofas was a sleeper as it’s not listed as such - and there’s an additional fold out bed in one of the closets. We made use of the kitchen and dining area daily. We caught an absolutely amazing sunset out the front windows on our first morning and were very happy for the drier as we visited during the unprecedented rains of January. Glad we could dry our clothes so easily. Lovely neighborhood. The construction across the street wasn’t an issue for us. This property was perfect for our group.

My husband and I rented this place to spend a weekend with our daughter and her husband. House was clean and very comfortable. The location was FABULOUS! One block from the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shops.

If you are coming to this area, and are lucky enough to find this home available, book it. The location is far superior to Oceanside, and Carlsbad is still a beautiful little town. The beach is perfect and wide, and the beach access is ideal. I surf fished every morning, and my wife took our dogs down to the Del Mar dog beach. Walkable to Carlsbad Village, and in a nice neighborhood. Highly recommend.

We had fun visiting Legoland and the beach from this location. Great house atmosphere and cozy feel. Loved it!

Cute little house ina fabulous location. My husband and I enjoyed many walks with our pup around the neighborhood and even into downtown. We greatly enjoyed the large backyard that allowed for what seemed like endless games of fetch for our pup and all of the yard games the hosts have available. We would only change the matress in the master, we both up with cranky backs, personal preference. We would definitely stay again.

This is my second stay here. Great location, one block from the beach and walkable to downtown in a quiet neighborhood ( construction this summer made it a bit noisier). The house is well equipped and spacious. One of my favorites to stay at.

The house is absolutely lovely and had everything we needed. It is a very comfortable home with a great deck and exceptional backyard. The location to the beach and Carlsbad was perfect. We enjoyed walks to Carlsbad along the beach each morning and caught a great sunset. The only issue we had was the construction behind the house, which is something the owner can't control. The workers stuck to specific hours and they didn't work on the weekend, which helped, but the current work involves a lot of hammering and nailing. Obviously it will end. Again, we were really pleased with the house and would most happily rent it again.

Good location in Carlsbad. Near beaches and village. The house was as described, but could use some TLC. The backyard is great for dogs. Would probably rent again if in Carlsbad.

We had a wonderful time and this property was perfect for us and our three mini Aussies. We had a day of no water due to the city turning it off on the entire street but we planned our day around that. We will be back. 😊

Clothes washer in 2nd bathroom & dryer in garage was a bit awkward. It takes far too long to get hot water at the sinks & showers. Lots of water wasted & sometimes ended up washing with cold water. Other than that everything else was good.

Kyle was great and responsive. House had everything we needed and the location was fantastic. Only wish we’d booked it for longer!

Property was even nicer than advertised. It has a beautiful enclosed back yard for the dog and is only a block from the beach and within walking distance of the Carlsbad Village. Our best VRBO experience ever!
