Beautiful open planned foyer. Huge room with an extra bed. Hot showers in a well appointed bathroom. Hotel position is fairly close to city but there were plenty of mid range restaurants nearby to save driving to town for dinner.

Air conditioning while cold, could only adjust the temperature but not the fan so the unit was noisy and blowing onto us the entire night. Bed was hard. Seating area in room but unusable if you want to open doors onto balcony because the extra bed was in the way. Get rid of the extra bed! View was nothing to rave about even though we were up high. Booking.com sent an email stating that if we want a room with private bathroom, to upgrade but it turned out all rooms have private bathroom……it just doesn’t state so in the room information. So we paid an extra Au$15 to upgrade for no reason. The hotel staff blamed the marketing team.

The bed was huge and really comfortable. I had a tremendous night’s sleep. The staff were helpful, relaxed and courteous. It was clean, apart from the staircase. It is about a kilometre out from town and up a hill, so unless you fancy the hill, you will need a tuk tuk. When you see how polluted Kandy is, you will realise that being a little out of the city centre is not a bad thing at all.

One of the steepest staircases I have ever encountered in a hotel. The breakfast was not particularly imaginative. It was okay, but functional, rather than tasty.

-we did not get the room what we booked, but the restaurant manager was very helpful and we could move to the originally booked room on the second night. -we stayed in 3 different rooms, one on the top floor was very loud as 2 different machines were humming alternately until late night and from early morning. The other two rooms’ bathroom windows were facing to the hotel’s inner corridor and food smell from the kitchen was coming into the rooms from 6am - even when the bathroom doors were closed our rooms was stinky from food. Also conversations from the lobby area were echoing in the rooms. -There are no chairs and a table on the balcony. -Hotel is quiet high on the hill, not an easy and short walk from the city, and you cannot really see the lake too. -Hotel looks better on the pictures then in real, quiet used, stained curtain, dirty walls and tiles.

Chambre très spacieuse! Le lit est très confortable. L’hôtel est au calme, niché pas loin du view point. Facile à trouver, et l’hôtel envoie un petit message avant l’arrivée pour ne pas se faire arnaquer par les Tuktuk!

Grille de l’entrée fermée à 23:00 et compliqué de trouver une sonnette ou un numéro auquel téléphoner… merci à mon driver PickMe d’avoir fait le nécessaire. Présence de petits insectes un peu partout dans la chambre et surtout sur le bois.

Staff was amazing. When checking in a refreshing fruit drink was given to me. When I checked out I accidentally left a shopping bag behind. The staff gave me a call to tell me. After returning to retrieve my items the staff had safely hidden it away. I had a great experience.

This hotel is perfect. We stayed four nights. The staff was incredibly helpful, the rooms were large and clean, the breakfast, which was slightly different every day, was consistently delicious. I would stay here again for sure.

TV signal was sometimes weak.

The hotel is located at a considerable height and it is difficult climb if it is done 3-4 times a day. The hotel restaurant was not operational and access to public transport is very limited. Hot wster in our bsthroom was not available snd we had to use another rooms bathroom.

Nuwan has been very kind and available to help with all requests, in person and via whatsapp, providing suggestions for tours around Kandy as well as drivers. Rooms are big and bathrooms were clean. Location is nice though not walkable to the city center.

Not a 4 star hotel. All personnel is nice but quite helpless, they all depend on Nuwan who’s the only one who really helps and takes decisions. One of the staff was not able to get us a not extremely overpriced tuktuk to the center. First night our rooms got infested by flying ants - after notifying this to Nuwan he told us just not to turn on all lights during sunset and this hasn’t happened again, also the rooms got cleaned from all ants. Hot water in one room was not guaranteed and towels are small. Bed sheets are stained, one room had a lot of food rests underneath one of the beds. Haven’t notified all this to the reception so not sure if this could have been changed. It’s a big 3 stars facility in a nice location with poor maintenance and mostly helpless staff. With same price and less stars, score would’ve been higher. Only one keycard per room but this seems common in Sri Lanka.

It was a family reunion where there were nine of us. We all had an excellent time! The breakfast was excellent and the location was convenient. The premises were very clean.

They made an overbooking of double rooms with lake view, so upon our arrival we received a triple room with joint beds, no balcony, no lake view. We could negotiate a 6USD discount but it is still poor given that we booked a nice room with a balcony and views and we got something totally different. We had to go to complain cause the staff wouldn’t tell us about it by themselves, offering breakfast or another gesture by themselves. Disappointing…

The location is OK. But you need a tuc tuc to get there.

Our room was right above the dining area and kitchen. Our room smelled like food all the time. It was extremely gross. Staff was very indifferent and did not seem to register any feedback whatsoever. They combine indifference with humility, which does not equate to hospitality at all. This was our worst hotel by far during our three week (!) trip around Sri Lanka.

Ants in the room, not the most clean room and some stained bedsheets, breakfast was mediocre, the shower was hard to control it was either too hot or too cold. The kettle in the room was the wrong type of plug and the lid for it was broken
