Location, great breakfast! Very nice, attentive and polite staff, also very welcoming. Beautiful lake view; really, everyone one could need and expect from a hotel, especially if you’re having an active day in and around Kandy, coming back has already felt relaxing. A good advice: take the monkey warnings seriously :) although that’s also quite exotic and they (the monkeys) were rather friendly and cute :)

Zustand des Badezimmers, Lautstärke im Keller (unser Zimmer war im Keller), Frühstück war in Ordnung, Preisleistung war nicht angemessen

Locatie is mooi in het centrum en uitzicht vanuit de ontbijt zaal is prachtig over het meer.

1. Kamer zonder uitzicht op het meer hield voor ons in dat we een kamer in de kelder hadden met uitzicht op / aangrenzend aan de prullenbakken in de parkeergarage. 2. Het zwembad was zo vies dat we er niet in hebben durven zwemmen. 3. We hebben een was laten doen waarbij mondeling en schriftelijk is aangegeven dat de was niet in de droger mocht. Helaas is dit toch gebeurd met als gevolg gekrompen / niet meer passende kleding. Met de receptie geprobeerd tot een oplossing te komen. Vanuit hen geen enkele oplossingsgerichtheid. Aangezien wij verder moesten en ter plekke zonder de manager niet verder kwamen afgesproken om via de booking chat contact te houden. Ondanks herhaalde berichten nooit meer reactie mogen ontvangen. 4. Prijs - kwaliteit is niet in verhouding.

La vue sur le lac et le petit déjeuner

Il y a une odeur d’humidité dans tout l’établissement, l’ensemble est à rafraîchir fortement. Un 4 étoiles qui en vaut 2 ! On nous a demandé de payer en liquide en échange d’une chambre meilleure avec vue lac. Cette chambre là était bcp mieux qu’à l’arrière où il n’y a pas d’air et sombre.

The property was clean and comfortable

I had booked the room with a higher rate with a lake view as the booking mentioned the room had a landmark view. However, the staff said no sorry it’s for garden view which was basically a balcony with artificial grass carpet. They had charged me full rate for an additional person which is okay but did not provide an extra bed even though there were extra beds left right outside the room. The staff mentioned that if they had lake view rooms they would upgrade us for free, first of all the it’s not supposed to be an upgrade, it’s what I booked for, secondly it meant that they have given our rooms to someone else.

The location was the best part about the hotel you can walk to town center and the temple. Nice staff and good breakfast. The room was clean.

They took extra 2% because we paid with our credit card that was really annoying because that was not the original price.

The bedroom and shower room were fine with a view of the lake over the lower roof tops. The surrounding buildings are closer than the pictures indicate. Breakfast was included and passable. It is however very easy to walk into Kandy down the footpath to the lake below. Ok for a one night stay in Kandy.

The access to Lakewood is very narrow and very steep. Not easy to get to from the Kandy road system. Our tour driver was concerned and decided to leave his vehicle and walk to his accommodation. There were lots of monkeys on the balconies and around the small narrow open pool which made the pool less inviting. The corridor to the lower two rooms was damp and smelly with a line of ants walking around our doorway. Once again had to pay cash in Sri Lankan rupees. Very few establishments like card payments in Sri Lanka.

The hotel looks nice, it is definitely better in terms if facilities than other hotels we've been in. It is located close to the viewpoint of Kandy. We were greeted with juice and good service. We were leaving early, so they packed us a small breakfast at at 6:30am.

We didn't have hot water on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The two rooms I've booked had no warm water, we called a few times and for 1h the guy at the reception was trying to convince me that I don't know how to turn it on, which as not the case. Once we complained the water got a bit warmer, but nothing close to hot water that is normal. I believe they are either saving or having issues with it, but it was obvious this is not true. Second thing which is outrageous is that the sheets on one of ours rooms were not changed and I saw somebody else's hairs all over it, it was disgusting. When they came to change it, they tried to change only the bottom sheet, not the whole set. Through the whole thing the reception person was asking me to leave him a good Booking review. I don't think asking for that is appropriate. If we want to leave good review, offer good service, don't just ask for it. Last but not least, monkeys are getting into the pool area and drinking water. I wouldn't get into that pool if I were you.

there were a buzz the whole night that did not allow us to sleep, we needed earbuds when calling reception no response and when ringing the bell at reception nobody responded what disliked me the most is that obliged to our driver to move away from the main entrance with not the best manners the worst breakfast we got in Sri Lanka not recommendable

The staff was super friendly and accommodative. Srithar and Joseph were very helpful and the food cooked by the very friendly chef was superb! Food: Value for what you pay. Large portions and the devilled food menu is to die for!

The pool did not look too inviting. A few hidden charges might surprise you. So, check the final amount before confirming.

Excellent location for the train station. Clean safe room. Good value for price.
