Great house with good facilities & activities for the kids. My family really enjoyed staying here and we were grateful to the hosts for looking after us well on arrival and departure.

Such a beautiful house - the photos don’t do it justice. The host’s were lovely and really responsive. Huge house, perfect for a large group. Perfect location, great facilities with the bikes and canoes. The deck and spa is amazing.

The hosts of the property were absolutely amazing throughout the whole process, they were great at communicating when booking and made sure we had everything arranged for our stay. The home was absolutely beautiful, couldn’t have asked for anything better. Was so peaceful waking up every morning and seeing the wallabies right out our door. We will 100% be back.

From start to finish, Steve on the water taxi and Mark, our host, made our weekend one that our friends will remember for a long time. Easily accessible, plenty to do, both at the house and it’s surrounds.

Our family of 6 had a fabulous week away at Salt Ayres. The house was just as described and more than large enough for 6 adults. Communication with the owner was excellent. We can't wait to return!

Salty Ayre is perfectly located at Couran Point. A lovely walk across the grass to the pontoon, and plenty of things to do for a weekend get away. The house was beautifully designed with an amazing living area, rolling into the deck. Protected nicely from the sea breezes. Highly recommend Salty Ayre!

Great location, great house. It is a destination for kids holiday

We booked this beautiful property for a quick getaway for my mother’s birthday and it was the best getaway we’ve ever had (including international travelling… I know!) The location of the property is perfect, so close to the jetty and canal, far enough away from other properties besides the house behind which was empty anyway. Every morning was a joy to wake up to wallaby’s bouncing over the land either side of the property and faintly heading the waves crashing from the surf beach. The amenities are everything you could need or want and the house is the perfect size. The outdoor spa just tops everything off and the perfect way to end the day after fishing, boating/jet skiing or bike riding around the island. The owners were extremely helpful, attentive and communicative especially with our reservation being hindered by a snap lockdown but Suzy was amazing and quick to work out a solution and help our getaway get back on track. If you’re reading this and considering booking this property just do it! You won’t regret it.

The house is very clean, fabulous layout for privacy to gathering areas. Everything you need from all kitchen utensils to. Cupboard full of games. And bikes to explore. Communication with the host was always prompt and very clear on what’s needed for your stay Highly recommend booking this house for an island experience

We had an incredibly positive experience with the house! The house was lovely with space to accommodate a group of nine people comfortably with enough beds and sitting spaces! Suzy and Mark were very helpful and made the process super easy for us too! The only thing that caught us a little off guard at the start was that the house is on an island that you need to catch a water taxi to get there, but that added to the adventure! Absolutely amazing though, so thank you!

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Salt Ayre Beach House. It was such an awesome property for 2 families holidaying together. The house and property itself is just so beautiful and really well equipped. The bikes were a great way to explore the island. Suzy made the whole process so easy and was quick to answer any questions I had leading up to our stay. I highly recommend this place if your looking for accommodation on South Stradbroke and we would not hesitate in going back and staying here again as we loved the place!

Salt Eyre is our go-to place to stay on South Stradbroke Island. Our teenage sons and their friends meet up in the school hols here and they always have a great time as the beach, in the pool or just riding around with the included bikes. We also enjoy it as the house is very comfortable and with two en-suites and a third bathroom is big enough for two families to stay. The spa is an additional attraction and we certainly enjoyed relaxing in the afternoons on the big outside deck. We’ll definitely be back next year!

Salt Ayre Beach House was perfect for our girls weekend away. Plenty of spaces for five of us to spend time catching up - the decks, the spa, the living areas and good size bedrooms.

Fantastic location with just a short walk to the water, literally all you need to bring is what you want to wear and eat and drink. Everything is there just like at home plus more. Very safe for families with small children, completely fenced in

Great getaway, house was perfect for us and handy to family and friends staying at resort be able to walk over . House was clean and had pretty much everything we needed (maybe bathmats would be good but we got by) which was great as you cannot get anything on island and the bottle of champagne went done very nice thank you Check in was a breeze with mark meeting us at jetty but no mention of check out process anywhere but we arrange help so wasn’t really needed in the end. It was a great house we will be back as a great family destination

We had such a relaxing stay. Plenty of room for the family to move around, kids had their own bedrooms and the spa is just that added piece of luxury. Even comes with your own boat mooring which although is not part of the house the pick up facilities when you get there is a very welcome inclusion.

We had the most wonderful stay. The home is immaculately presented, clean and spacious. The owners went above and beyond, even to the point of coming to collect us and personally take us to the water taxi because it was raining (which less than 100mtrs away!) A fabulous weekend away, will definitely be booking this place again! Thank you for having us and for being such amazing hosts!!!

Beautiful property in a nice location, house was spacious and clean with great facilities. Caretaker Shane was friendly and helpful we really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it

Fantastic house to stay for two families with everything you need for a fabulous holiday. We caught a water taxi over and Shane the caretaker met us at the marina with a 4WD and took our food/ luggage to the house which is only 150m away. He then explained all the house details (how to use hot water/ spa etc). It was a very relaxed trip for us - although there is a house right in front, it was vacant during our stay and we spent a lot of time watching the wallabies jump past, reading on the back deck and enjoying the private spa. Bikes are included so the children enjoyed cycling into the Couran Cove Resort and using the amenities. All in all a wonderful stay - thank you.

We had a lovely short stay, with excellent support from our host and greeter on Day 1. The kitchen had everything needed, furnishings were great and the hot tub and deck furnishing were lovely. We used the bikes often to visit the resort, beach and sunset viewings. Thank you for the pump and tools to change the seat height. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. I would say though, that the website photos need updating as they do not represent the house immediately on the boundary. As it was vacant it was fine for us. Thank you.

House was great! Plenty of room for two families. We wish we realized the neighbours were so close. It was ok for them to party on and keep us awake until early hours of the morning but when we returned the favor they called the owner to make a complaint. We couldn’t even sit on the back deck and enjoy some easy listening music without them yelling out the window to please turn the music off. (It was 9pm and only two songs played). I wish I could say that we enjoyed ourselves but unfortunately this situation ruined our Christmas holiday.
