Great location close to Amboise. French country house with rustic feel. House could use enhanced internet and enhanced tv program options. Host is very welcoming. Great value

We loved our stay! The house was charming, well appointed and very clean. Marie was an absolutely fabulous and generous host. Our daughter especially loved the large yard, gardens and chickens. There we amazing views of the night sky from the upstairs deck. We highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay in the house. We had a warm welcome and appreciate the eggs and jam the owner gave to us. The house was nice and everything was working fine. We enjoyed our meals in the garden and enjoyed the cat and chickens around the house. We certainly recommend this house and we are planning on coming back again.

An absolutely unique home . Unique in original decor, many pieces made by the artist and owner of the house. Owners live in another house on the property and are there to help with anything you need. Check in and out was easy. The property is 2 stories and does not have screens on the windows. I wouldn't recommend this to people with mobility issues or young children. That being said, it was a pleasure to have stayed in such a unique home. The owner was fantastic. I would love to stay there again.

We loved our stay at Marie Louise and Christian’s house in the country. Thank you for the kind hospitality - we appreciated the fresh eggs and jam. The 19th century charming character house was a delight and we enjoyed meals outside.

Les proprietaires tres gentils et toujours prets a aider. Une maison tres jolie et tres authentique, elle va etre appreciee par ceux qui aiment bien l'histoire.

Comfortable and charming home with a friendly proprietor! Location was great. The town of Amboise and the Chenenceaux chateau were just minutes away.

We stayed here as a family of 4. Two adults, two teenage daughters. Stayed for 4 nights while visiting Amboise and the various chateaux in the area. It's a great location, 2 oe 3 minutes drive into Amboise where you can buy groceries and get all your restaurants etc. Lots of free parking in town especially in the evenings. The place is lovely. Kind of two halves. One half is an ancient stone building with a great sitting area and bedrooms above. The other half is an addition with kitchen and shower room. The kitchen could do with an update. If you are looking for a lovely quiet place and will be eating out, or are not fussy about the kitchen, you'll love it. If you are the kind of person who wants every room high end, you won't. The price was amazing. Would definitely go back. As other reviews state, the owners are very friendly and give you free eggs etc. They don't speak much English but we all got by.

Marie-Josèphe est vraiment très accueillante, et le logement agréable. C'est un endroit très calme, et très bien placé pour visiter la région.

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans la propriété de Marie-Josèphe. Les sites culturels sont à proximité, et de jolies balades sont à faire dans le secteur. La maison est très bien équipée et les propriétaires sont charmants. Merci encore!

A very nice couple with limited English but very responsive with emails to ease communication. Very spacious but chilly in October because it was so large. I was concerned about how much the gas & electric would cost me at the end of our stay, so I didn't keep the water heater on at all times, I'm sure it would have been very comfortable if we cranked the heat up. Worrying about about these unknown costs definitely took away comfort and I will not book another place that charges this fee separately due to this constant concern. I understand that without charging gas & electric that people can be mindless & wasteful, making it costly for the owner, but for me it was stressful as I did not want to end up with a large bill. In the end it was only 20€ for the 4 days. I wish this cost & charges for the towels & sheets were mentioned up front and not only on the 2nd step of booking despite it saying towels & linens provided. It should say provided for a fee. I brought my own sheets & towels. There were plenty of blankets so I was never cold in bed. Kitchen towels included. We had to watch the World Series & streaming on wifi was not a problem with our fire stick plugged into the TV. The kids loved the chickens & tending to the fire. Beds were very comfy. 2 full bathrooms, one with a bathtub & handheld shower head. Dish soap & dishwasher capsules included along with one hand soap, I suggest including hand soap for each bathroom. They offer you access to their herb & vegetable garden, along with a ton of frozen veggies including ratatouille, but I couldn't find salt or pepper (or any dried spices) in the house. Coffee filters were provided but no coffee. I wish my French was better as they seemed very nice & chatted a bit at departure. They gave us our privacy during our stay while being available if needed.

What a marvellous find. We enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. Lots of space and comfortable. The area is great to explore; with a lovely lake just down the road. The owner is very helpful and friendly without being obtrusive. We would definitely recommend staying here. I loved it.....

wir wurden in dem idyllisch gelegenen Landhaus von Marie-Josèphe, der Vermieterin, sehr herzlich aufgenommen und haben uns in der ländlichen Ruhe eine Woche lang erholen können. Das Haus ist ideal gelegen, um die Schlösser und Städte der Loire zu besuchen. Alle Einrichtungen des Hauses funktionieren sehr gut, insgesamt entspricht alles den Fotos des Internetauftritts. Amazing character filled gîte in the heart of a region full of history. So much in easy reach but we were there to read and relax and speak some french and found this an ideal location with a very warm and generous proprietaire. I never knew how relaxing it could be just sit watching chickens.

Ein sehr geräumiges, liebevoll eingerichtetes und ruhig gelegenes Haus. Die Gastgeber, die früher das Haus selbst bewohnten, und nun in einem neueren Gebäude gleich nebenan wohnen, haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und waren auch während der gesamten Woche immer erreichbar. Das Haus, ganz im Stil eines alten Landguts, bietet ein sehr geräumiges und mit alten Möbel liebevoll ausgestattetes Wohnzimmer. Die Schlafzimmer sind auf der ersten Etage. Von dort gelangt man auch auf eine mit Liegen ausgestattete Dachterrasse. Ganz in der Nähe liegt die Stadt Amboise mit ihrem Schloss. Ebenfalls schnell zu erreichen sind die Schlösser Chambord und Chenonceau sowie die Stadt Tours. Für eine Woche gibt es also reichlich zu besichtigen in nächster Nähe. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Urlaub.

El alojamiento es impresionante, destacando por encima de todo el salón. Pero lo más destacable es la simpatía y la atención de Marie y su marido. La situación es ideal para poder visitar los castillos del Loira. Hemos pasado una semana estupenda en esta casa con vosotros, ¡gracias por vuestras atenciones!

Großes Ferienhaus mit liebevoll eingerichtetem Wohn- und Schlafbereich. Eine bequeme Polstergarnitur, sichtbare Balken, eine alte Weinpresse als Esstisch sowie viel Holz sorgen für eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Vom Wohnbereich geht man direkt auf den Freisitz mit Gartenmöbeln und Grill. Auf dem großen Waldgrundstück stehen noch weitere Sitzecken zur Verfügung. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig am Waldrand, jedoch nicht weit von Amboise entfernt, ideal zum Besuch der bedeutendsten Schlösser. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns die liebevolle und großzügige Art der Vermieterin, die uns nicht nur mit Eiern aus eigener Produktion versorgte, sondern auch mit ihrer Liebe zu Garten und Natur für ihr kleines Paradies begeisterte. Ein Ferienhaus, das man nicht alle Tage findet.

Charming & super helpful host. The farmhouse is surrounded by a very nice garden & is located really conveniently. The place is rather specious with a lovely interior & a nice big terrace. I would definitely recommend staying here & would love to come back again !

Excellente semaine passée au calme dans un superbe et agréable gîte et une tres belle propriété. Très bon accueil. Moments inoubliables...de "papote" avec la propriétaire, des tendres regards de Nénette, la chatte, du doux parfum des roses et de la compagnie très proches des coqs, poules et poussins. Peaceful setting on the outskirts of Amboise with plenty of space - ideal for 2 couples .

We spent a nice week in this village house close to nature and simple life. The house is in the hearth of the region, close to a road convenient for many places to visit, however, it is surrounded by a garden and woods. It is extremely calm, quiet and relaxing. You can enjoy the company of free hens and small chickens. The best part, however, was the host - Marie-Joseph who was extremely charming and helpful.
