The mist flowing up the valley toward the house in the mornings was magical. The home was open and airy with great seating in each room. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was properly appointed. Great place to rest and relax after days of exploring the surrounding areas.

I can’t say enough good things about this incredible home in Sebastopol. The first impression is driving up an idyllic driveway to a beautiful home overlooking estate vineyards. Those views continue inside the house from every room. From the well-stocked kitchen, to the cozy den, relaxing hot tub, and incredible antique decor…this property was outstanding. We stayed with our two kids (6 and 3), and they couldn’t get enough of the vibrant gardens. We picked raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and mint for breakfast each morning, and admired the parade of quail and hawks in the evenings. The location is perfect striking distance to downtown Sebastopol, (their farmers market is amazing), and only 30 mins from Healdsburg. We tried Handline for dinner, must do with kids! If you are heading to Sonoma, don’t miss this magical spot.

The house is very comfortable, beautifully situated midst vineyards and the gardens are magnificent. All the communication was excellent and I highly recommend this location for wine touring and relaxation.

My wife and I spent a week at this property with our dear friends from Florida. From the review and reservation to the check out, everything was perfect. Susan, the owner, was easy and responsive to inquiries regarding the property, surrounding area and local fare as well as the property manager. The pictures here really do not do the house justice. This really is a truly unique property. You are located in the heart of the Sonoma wine country near town of Sebastopal. You are close enough for grocery store runs but you are far enough out that you truly feel you are in the wine COUNTRY. The house is tastefully decorated, clean and inviting. From the Wysteria covered entryway to the wonderful back yard, you get the feeling this is special. It's located in the middle of vineyards that source the Chardonnay that awaited us. There is an amazing outdoor kitchen as part of a large deck that is overlooked by a beautiful terraced back yard with natural landscaping. Evening time low level lighting leads you up to the hot tub. This was perfect for night time visiting with our friends under the California stars and sharing our days adventures. The house is well-stocked with everything you need to grill that perfect steak (or fajitas or wood-fired pizza). The dining room is large and inviting. There is ping pong, games and books. Bottom line, this is a fantastic venue for older couples like us or families looking to spend quality time together. RECOMMEND!

We loved this property....spacious and comfortable, with beautiful scenery in every direction...vines in front, terraced gardens in back. The weather cooperated and we ate Thanksgiving dinner outside on the patio. The house was immaculate and the kitchen supplied with everything you could think of. I am already thinking of a girls' trip there! The only improvement would be queen sized beds in all rooms. Otherwise, perfection!

Beautiful property with views galore. David and Susan's house had everything you need to have a relaxing vacation. Wonderful outdoor kitchen and seating. Hot tub with a view of the stars at night. This was our third summer at Vineyard House. It is such a special property, the views, the comfort, the garden, the weather. It never gets any easier to leave. Fern and Susan are so kind and always go out of their way to make us feel at home. Till next year!

Our family of 3 couples enjoyed our 4 night stay in this lovely home! It had everything we could want. The attention to detail is evident in the decor, the property management and the location. Perfectly located on a hill overlooking Chardonnay vines and a bucolic setting. The home has lovely furnishings, has very spacious common areas, a beautiful deck with outdoor kitchen, and secluded hot tub. The gardens are gorgeous to enjoy. The kitchen has everything you would want! We went to Small Vines Winery for a private tasting that was great! Short drive to Armstrong Woods, Hazel restaurant in Occidental was wonderful. If you are looking for the perfect spot to relax and unwind this is the place for you!

We absolutely enjoyed everything about the property, from the location, to the coziness of the house and the views from the house were stunning. It was quiet, yet close to anything that we needed. A big thank you to Fern and Susan for making our first trip to Sebastopol a memorable one!

5 women stayed here for a 50th birthday. The property is even more gorgeous than the photos can convey. We were all just in love with the home, the views, and the gardens. Immaculately clean house, beautifully decorated, and an incredibly well stocked kitchen. Fantastic patio/outdoor kitchen. The location was amazing - it felt remote and secluded but was within 10 minutes of everything we needed. The garden was lovely and had little labels informing guests of what each thing could be used for. The hot tub atop the hill had stunning views and privacy - there was a meteor shower the first night that everyone watched from the hot tub. The only thing is the beds are small (1 queen, 2 full & a pull out) so 6 adults would be tight it unless they were small people & very cozy with each other. All in all, a perfect trip with good communication from the owners. We would absolutely love to come back again! Thank you!

The stay was over and above our wildest expectations. Susan and her property manager thought of every possible detail to furnish the home with everything needed for the perfect stay. Pictures don't do this place justice. It was spotless and clean. Kitchen was abundantly stocked. Fruit trees outside gave us fruit to enjoy. And the grounds were so serene. Will definitely come back for another visit!

Our stay at Susan’s property in Sebastopol was simply wonderful. Up on a hill surrounded by acres of gorgeous vineyards and gardens, it was the perfect spot for our adult family members to relax and reconnect. The house was warm and welcoming, comfortably furnished, generously equipped, and expansive enough for everyone to “have their own space.” The views from every window were dazzling. The property was perfectly private but also convenient to nearby attractions, restaurants and stores. Susan was an attentive and considerate host and made sure everything we needed was taken care of. We’d go back in a minute!

I can't say enough nice things about Susan, the home owner. She was always available by mail, phone, texts to assist! She provided me incredible restuarant suggestions and areas of interest. Truly a helpful lady and class act! The home is lovely. It wrapped its arms around you. The views in the morning were incredible. One of my favorite things was morning coffee in the garden. The rose gardens are incredible! I can only imagine them during prime season. I hesitate to mention anything negative, and this has nothing to do with this incredible home or lovely homeowner. We had a terrible experience in San Fransisco! On our arrival we went to Fisherman's Wharf to grab lunch prior to traveling to Sebastopol. It was broad daylight in a tourist area. Our car windows were smashed and all our personnel items were taken from front and back seat: phones, 5 computers, passports, $700.......I do not recommend going into San Fransisco until this is under control. This would not stop me from going back to this incredible home. Do not allow this to hinder your visit to this incredible town and home. Just drive straight thru San Fransisco and enjoy yourself once you cross the bridge. There are incredible things in this area and this is an incredible home. Plus Susan and Fern the property manager are great!!!!! Enjoy your stay all!

The property was lovely, surrounded by vineyards and flower gardens. We took a nice walk around the grounds. Enjoyed the hot tub, tucked away up the hill. Would love to come back and stay longer than 2 nights next time.

I just love this VRBO location. The home is in a great location. The house is just a nice place to stay. We loved the view from the front porch, enjoyed the back patio and the jacuzzi! Susan's Vineyard home is an incredibly special place. We will hold the memories of our stay close in our hearts. The home is spacious, well laid out, tastefully decorated, sparkling clean, and perfectly stocked will all you could need and more. The grounds are breathtaking, the garden is peaceful and bountiful, and the views get better with each day. Susan goes out of her way to make you feel welcome, she is a very kind and generous host. We cannot wait to come back next summer!

Susan's property was amazing! The accommodations were exactly as pictured, including the beautiful flower garden adjacent to the house. We even had fresh raspberries! The house was well stocked with everything we needed, including extra towels for the hot tub. The decor was very well done, too. We especially enjoyed lounging on the back deck and even had dinner our there one evening. The house was a bit farther than we thought from Sonoma but it was well worth the drive!

Was looking for a quick getaway and this was the perfect place. It was beautiful place and amazing quiet and secluded location. Very close to a small town which was cute. Once your day is arriving for your stay it’s all handled by a 3rd party but didn’t really mind. The only off thing was the long checkout list you need to do before checking out, when you are on vacation putting all the sheets in washer and loading dishwasher and cleaning isn’t what you hope for but it was just my bf and myself so we managed to not really use much of the house stuff so the cleaning was minimal for us. Overall, this is a nice place to stay and very peaceful. Perfect for a getaway.
