We loved everything about Little Harvest Caye…the location, the cleanliness, the food, and the service. Already planning a return trip! We loved the place!

Words cannot describe the perfection of LHC. Our family spent a week on the island, with ages ranging from 9 to 65. Every moment was sheer bliss. The views, the beautiful villas, the huge common area where we spent almost all of our time, the pool, the ocean etc. We did a couple of local excursions and almost daily trips to the mainland for ice cream, but mostly we wanted to just stay put on our island paradise. Michael, Jose, George & Kendra took incredible care of us, and they felt like family by the end of the week! Martha kept our villas squeaky clean and did extra laundry for our kids, and she couldn't have been nicer. We all agreed that this was the vacation of a lifetime--except that it is just too good to only do once in a lifetime, so we need to go back!

Gorgeous island - we had the best family vacation! We stayed for 7 nights with my family, my brother's family & our parents and had a wonderful trip. We were picked up directly from the LHC dock for all of our excursions which was extremely convenient. And we thoroughly enjoyed our bookings with Captain Jak's. We arranged family photos on the island, with the help of the office and hopefully those turn out well (have not received them back yet). We used the LHC boat daily to get to Placencia for additional groceries and to shop in the cute town stores. The golf cart was perfect for those errands! Our staff was amazing - friendly, helpful, generous and genuine. Our concierge/main point of contact throughout our stay often jumped in to make us drinks or to fix any issues we were experiencing, without even being asked. We experienced a few "hiccups" as the communication with the office prior to our trip proved inaccurate upon our arrival, but we were able to smooth out most of the misunderstandings. We did have several picky eaters as well as one vegetarian on the trip and food was tricky for those. Our picky eaters often resorted to making macaroni and cheese or PB&J themselves as the menu alterations were not followed. But for the majority of our group, the chef prepared amazing meals! Seriously impressive, gourmet food! The rooms were gorgeous and the bathrooms amazing. I love the outdoor shower most of all!!! We saw very few insects or "wild" animals, though we expected to, given the open-air environment of the island. The a/c worked perfectly for us at night and we were very comfortable in our rooms. The wifi was reliable, though a bit spotty at times. But we were on vacation so it rarely mattered (except during the Cowboys game on Thanksgiving Day!). The island dog, Coco, is delightful and helped us miss our own pets a bit less. He can be a bit feisty though, so do let the staff know if you prefer he not be around your group at certain times. The main entertainment area is beautiful and well appointed. We did bring our own board games as well as a portable speaker - which we used a lot while we were on the beach. However, we all enjoyed the ping pong and pool tables, as well as cornhole. There is limited seating around the TV so be prepared to sit on bean bags or to pull over a chair from the dining table. My parents rarely moved from the comfy hanging chairs though...

Beautiful, wonderful, amazing staff

Girls trip for my 50th, incredible from day one! The staff was the best part of our vacation. Our food was exquisite, beyond 5 star! Jose went above and beyond helping the girls learn to catch bait to fish. Those girls had him moving all week. Jose and Arion helped all week with every request. Ernesto WOW that man can make/create any food dish AND with all fresh handmade ingredients!! George came last days and he had culinary skills as well! Cindy meet all our wants and needs, she rocks!! They work as a team, all equal. Best experience we have ever had!

This was the perfect place to get away and relax. The staff was wonderful and took great care of us. No meals to cook, no clean up … totally pampered. Great family time to reconnect and disconnect.

The island is somehow even better than the photos. The staff was amazing and the food was incredible. Ernesto, the chef, prepares an out-of-this world menu and accommodated our schedules perfectly. The entire staff makes everything super easy. The rooms and bathrooms are top notch as well.

We’ve traveled as a group for nearly a decade, and LHC ended up being a top notch fit for this group. The property itself was phenomenal and was everything we expected and more. Michael, Abel, Genesis and the rest of the staff were fantastic. Ernesto, the cook, deserves accolades and probably even some culinary awards. Never before on a 4 or 5 star resort have we eaten so well. Literally every single meal was both beautiful and delicious. The team seemed to have a second sense for when we needed anything, but also disappeared at the right times. Despite the islands size there was plenty for our group to do and keep ourselves entertained. We made a couple trips into town, had massages on site, an all day catamaran trip out to Laughing Bird Caye, and Covid testing on site on the way out—all expertly coordinated by the concierge and the LHC team. The cabins/rooms themselves were also top notch, very comfortable beds, nicely designed, along with open air bathrooms and showers in some.

All around great property/amenities and staff. We had a phenomenal time. Couldn't have been happier with the experience. HIGHLY recommend.

From start to finish, this was an exceptional experience. The concierge was extremely helpful & guided us through the entire process. She accommodated any needs & changes, booked excursions & changed the domestic flight times with a simple text. The property was perfect. It accommodated four families that included five children all under the age of 5. Safe, clean & spacious. It’s perfectly set up for fun activities together and private space when needed. The only thing better than the property was the staff. Friendly & professional, good food & drinks, boat trips to Placentia upon request, they are what makes the entire experience Paradise.

Our stay on Little Harvest Caye was everything we imagined it would be and more. As with many people, this vacation was over two years in the making and we had very high expectations, and it met every one of of them. I don't know where to start... the staff are AMAZING! They catered to our every need and have such wonderful personalities. The food was outstanding. Oscar, the chef, is very talented. When they say he makes everything from scratch, they really mean it... scratch made pasta, bread for toast, buns for burgers, tortillas, syrup, fried jacks, salsas, etc. We were very impressed with EVERY meal we had. The rest of the crew (Able, Michael, Elden, and Cindy) were also amazing! The grounds are well kept and clean. The common area is an awesome place to hangout. Heidi from Gecko vacation is OUTSTANDING! She answered all our questions with pleasure and made sure everything we asked to do was planned out perfectly. This was a trip of a lifetime!! We are determined to rebook again in the near future and can hardly wait to go again!

I've meant to post this review for a while, and all I can say is this place is wonderful. Between the pristine island and surrounding waters, to the fantastic staff that caters to your every need, you'll be amazed. I can't say enough about the staff; they really made the trip what it was. Working with Talia and the team on booking and arrival was super simple. Once on the island, Chef Ernesto and sous chef Oscar cooked the most delectable meals (honestly, just fantastic...the best cooking I've had outside the states, and I enjoy high-end eateries), while Jose, along w/ Cindy and Abel, took care of everything else we needed. 8 months later and we're still talking about it to friends. In fact, it was so memorable we have already booked to go again in Early 2022 and are anxiously awaiting our trip. Some other things to mention, although COVID was rampant (and still is), it's effortless to get there and back from the states. Take a PCR before you go, bring the results to get into Belize, and they will book someone to test on the island (or you can go into town) for your way home. We had nurses come to the island, and that worked great! Another thing, we're big wine and bourbon fans, so we brought a bunch. I'm not sure that's worth the hassle as they have duty-free shops with wine, booze, and cigars, once you arrive in Belize (There are also shops and bars in town that have booze, although they are more costly.) Other than that, if you enjoy fishing, I would recommend bringing some gear (We did and caught quite a few), and unless you get stir crazy, don't plan on needing to go into town often. We thought we might want to try different food, but you'd be a fool to waste time and money eating out with their cooking.

This island vacation is the most amazing experience. Our hosts are very quick to respond, so pleasant to communicate with and so thorough with their information. Renting this island gives your group access to a fabulous concierge who helps coordinate activities, ensure menu meets everyone's dietary preference/restrictions, coordinates transportation to and from the airport. The team of 5 assigned to the island ensure that you will not want for anything. They work so well together to maintain the island, keep it clean and cook amazing meals. With Ernesto and his sous chef Elmond in the kitchen every meal is a masterpiece. Abel and Michael keep everything running smoothly and are ready to assist with any project the guests need and drive the boat to and from mainland. Cindy is so wonderful to keep rooms and the rest of the island in tip top shape. To see the whole team in the kitchen at meal time is like watching a symphony. I loved to sit and watch every one of the guests enjoying activities they love. The pool is amazing, the common area great room is perfect for gathering, playing ping pong or pool, gathering around the bar for the cocktail of the day and dancing. Outside there is cornhole, horseshoes, croquet. Paddleboards and canoes for those who want to get out on the water, fishing is permitted (some fish are catch and release). All of the houses are on the ocean and beds are comfortable. We went in to town a couple of times for shopping and one meal ashore at Rumfish Y Vino which was recommended by our chef and was amazing - otherwise I would highly recommend to stay on the island and enjoy the meals prepared - they are a work of art and delicious. Overall the biggest problem I have with this vacation is that I do not feel I will ever be able to top this vacation with anything better.... EVER!! If you are considering a unique and private vacation for a group then this IS the vacation you are looking for!!! I love this island and I am a fan of this rental company!!

Covid canceled our Spring Break 2020 plans, and we rescheduled for June, 2021. Was an outstanding week for our family! The staff was so attentive, the meals were AMAZING, massages onsite, movie night on the beach, a concierge to arrange a wine tasting and jungle and snorkeling experiences... it was like having a full service resort just for us. Highly recommend!

We had an outstanding week at the property. The accommodations were stellar, the staff were friendly & helpful, and a great chef! From the pick up from mainland Placencia to departure a week later; flawless in every way. I could not say enough great things about our experience. We cannot stop talking about the trip upon our return home and probably never will! A++++

Wonderful place to stay. Well laid out so we did not feel crowded. Lots to do and the staff was especially nice. Food was excellent. Only sad that covid19 forced us to leave early.

This was by far the best vacation we have ever taken! The staff on the island were the best! Ernesto and Miguel were our chefs for the week, the meals were unbelievable ! Jose took great care of us both on the island and off. He did a terrific job making sure everything ran smoothly and flawlessly! Osmar also helped to get us where we were going and maintained the island, again amazing! Mindy was our housekeeper and kept everything sparkling and well stocked, she did a terrific job! We’ve never eaten so well or been pampered so much! Henry and Vicky, the two we worked with organizing the vacation made everything run so smoothly! They made our planning for excursions, meals and island entertainment so easy! We had a drumming band come to the island for entertainment, that was a great experience spending time with them. We probably could have booked them for a shorter amount of time, we did 5 hours but could have been less. We were a group of 12 adult friends, spending a week on a beautiful, tropical, private paradise and it could not have been any better!

We had the most amazing stay with our group of friends. Belize is an amazing Country the island we stayed on was the best and the staff were even better. I can't stress enough how great the staff were, several comments a day were made on how great the attention to detail and how they always went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and meet our every need or request.

This private island was the perfect place for our group of 4 families to enjoy Belize and each other but each with our own bit of privacy. The homes are immaculate, beautifully constructed and modern but with traditional flair. The common spaces are well arranged to facilitate group conversations while the kids swam, combed the beach or played on ping pong or pool tables. The staff were unbelievably professional, friendly and accommodating. Each meal was absolutely gourmet quality with beautiful presentation by the private chef who accommodated multiple special request food preferences and allergies with ease. We only paid for groceries which was extremely reasonable especially given the very high quality of our meals - we could never have done that for ourselves! Our concierge, Henry went above and beyond on multiple occassions organizing the menu in advance, helping us book excursions and organizing our travel plans. He kept track of us from start to finish and even helped us problem solve transportation issues not booked through him. Overall, the experience could not have been more amazing. We all felt like movie stars enjoying a private island experience! We can't wait to go back.

Anytime you book something online without a personal review from someone you trust, it feels like a gamble. However, from the first contact with the in country manager, Henry, the communication and dedication to our groups happiness was spot on. Once on the island, the crew there took care of us like we were royalty. Very friendly and out going, they paid attention to every detail. Very happy with the entire process! We will be back!

We arrived with high expectations and those were exceeded! Talia did an exceptional job coordinating our stay. Many of the reviews mention that laundry is daily, but that's incorrect. It's done on Tuesday & Friday. Cindy takes care of the laundry and also does a wonderful job keeping the cottages sparkling. We had massages on the island and highly recommend this indulgence! Special thank you to Miguel for seeing to our every need. Oscar and Mike did a fantastic job as our chefs and the food was not only delicious, but the creative displays were impressive! Jose did an excellent job keeping the grounds & pool clean and although he tried to control the biting bugs, he was no match for mother nature, so we recommend getting and using plenty of bug spray. Not all of us came home with bites, but a few of us had several. Finally, thanks to this wonderful group for a week we will all remember! Your hard work and kindness is very much appreciated!

Words cannot describe the beauty of this island and the pampering received from the staff. Our family of 10 (from ten years of age through us old grandparents) had relaxing time when we wanted it and plenty of activities available when we wanted to be active. And the food … Ernesto and Oscar are true chefs. Want to go into the village, maybe do some fishing, learn more about the area - just ask Jose and your wish will be granted. Want massages, facials - Talia will be happy to arrange everything for you, including massages on the dock (incredible experience). Would we go back again? In a New York minute!

From beginning to end, this was the perfect vacation for my husband, me, and 8 of our friends. Communication with Talia, the property manager was excellent. She always got back to me the same day, usually just within a few hours. We decided to take the quick flight on Maya Island Air which was perfect. From there the boat ride to the island took probably less than five minutes. When we arrived, everything looked just the way it does on the VRBO website. The staff obviously takes great pride in the appearance of the island. Have you ever been on vacation in a beautiful place only to be woken up by an obnoxious weed wacker or leaf blower? That's the worst! It won't happen here. They used machetes to prune the bushes and I never heard any kind of machinery or obnoxious noise at all. The beach sand was raked every morning before we got up. The villas, the island, and the water were all beautiful but the staff made our stay perfect in every way. Ernesto is an incredible chef and Miguel was awesome also. They worked so hard every day and went above and beyond what we expected. Jose was on top of everything. He carted us around and made sure we made it on time for our excursions. And Osmar was excellent too. They made sure we had what we needed and if we didn’t, they got it for us. Cindy not only did our laundry and cleaned, she added her own little special touches to the rooms and had such a wonderful personality. The food was totally amazing. I had made a reservation for us at a restaurant in Placencia before we got to Belize thinking it would be good for all of us to go out one night. This was a highly rated restaurant. After eating Ernesto's food, we were a little disappointed that we didn't stay and eat at the island. Every meal was delicous! And we are foodies so we're not that easy to please but Ernesto's got it going on. I've talked mostly about the staff but when you think about it, the staff is a big deal. They were all super people and it was obvious they were not just doing a job, they actually cared. They were fun to have around. Vacation could have been much different. All it takes is one bad attitude, but you won't find one on this island. We left with great memories and new friends.

If you have ANY hesitation at all about the property. I just gotta say stop and and take the jump. Its worth it! Every part about it was amazing! Views were great, staff was the best I’ve ever experienced and very accommodating. Hard NOT to fall in love with this place!

The entire stay was absolutely amazing. We had 10 in our party and plenty of space. Our rooms were immaculate and the food was outstanding. I can not express how the staff went over and beyond what we expected. We spent our week kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, swimming and enjoying each others company. We explored town a few days to shop and eat. Our weather was perfect with any storms passing thru the night. We can’t stop talking about our vacation and planning for another in the future.

I just returned from an amazing week spent on Little Harvest Caye! It comfortably fit 12 adults. While we had a few day excursions planned through a local service, we spent most of our time using the island's many amenities. There is a great pool with a volleyball net, a well-maintained beach, a number of water activities (kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear), ping-pong and pool tables and a few board games. The island has cable (we watched the Packers vs Bears game live) and reliable WiFi as well as Bluetooth for streaming music. While all of this was great, the staff are what truly made our stay unforgettable. Miguel was very accommodating and transported us to and from the mainland as needed. Ernesto was an absolutely fantastic cook. Every meal was made with care and served with style. Each of the staff were very friendly and attentive. Our needs were more than taken of and we can't wait to visit again!
