Wonderful stay and beautiful property. Just as listed and host was helpful with communication and tips

We had an amazing stay with our two two elementary school age kids. The condo was perfectly outfitted with boogie boards, umbrellas and chairs that made the outing to the beach seamless. The condo itself has everything a family could want including extra linens, a well outfitted kitchen and an in-unit washer/dryer to clean up all the gear after adventures. The thing we enjoyed most was our evenings eating dinner on the lanai watching the beautiful sunset. Would definitely recommend!

Alternated between beach time on grass area and great excursions to NaPali coast, Grand Canyon and helicopter tour. Beautiful grounds you cannot go wrong

This is a beautiful, clean, and spacious property with ocean views. We stayed here for a week with a family of 5 and it was perfect. The pool and athletic club were a short walk across the street. The grounds are well maintained. The pristine beach is a very short walk away. We would return in a heartbeat!

Kim was very helpful and easy to communicate during the booking process. The condo is in a great location, very close to the beach. The furniture was nice, the beds were comfy, the condo is clean and there were mattresses to put on the floor for two of my smaller grandchildren to sleep on which was very nice. There were beach chairs available to use and you could have new beach towels with a towel card. Although the beach is steps away, we were vacationing during a tropical storm and were not allowed to swim for 3 of the days (of course this is unforeseeable and was not really a problem because there are wonderful hikes and waterfalls). The pool is across the street, you can walk but if you are carrying lots of items and small children you would want to drive to the pool. We did not mind walking because the trade off is we were close to beach. The disappointing part about our stay was that the day before we were to arrive and check in I got this message from Larissa "I wanted to warn you that the refrigerate is having problems. I believe it is working "sort-of", I have ordered a new one that should arrive soon." ??? Seriously????? In the description of the condo on the website it claims it has a refrigerator. As a large family this was a very special vacation and we have never had a big vacation like this all together. We were renting 3 condos, 14 of us and 6 were children. We needed refrigerators in each condo that worked. I wrote back to Larrisa and explained that we were planning on shopping at Costco near the airport and she recommended we go to the condo first to make sure the refrigerator was able to keep our food cool and shop after we checked into the condo! We could not trust that refrigerator with our week supply of food so we had to use the refrigerators in the other 2 condos for the rest of the week. The condos were spread out so this was a bit of a hassle. In addition, 4 of my grandchildren were in that condo and my daughter needed to wash their clothes a couple of times during the week and the dryer does not work. When you are renting a condo and listing the items that are available to use they should work. The maintenance department was prompt to come out but all they did was confirm that things indeed were not working.

Our stay was lovely! Beautiful lanais allowed us to experience our view from our room. The pool, beach, property and every person we spoke to was beautiful! The lush landscape filled the air with sweetness and the restaurants and beaches close by were a 10. Loved our visit!

Very nice, great location

We REALLY enjoyed our stay here and wish we would have booked it for longer! The size of the condo worked well for our family of 6, 2 kids shared the downstairs bedroom and 2 used the living room upstairs. The process was seamless with no issues or challenges getting into our condo, Kim was very proactive in sharing what we can do and need to know, so arriving and day 1 was as easy as if we were at our own home. The location is absolutely perfect. You’re about 75 yards from the beach (if that), next to the Sheraton and their beach front restaurant, and across the street from a shopping center that has almost everything you need you forgot or ran out of during your stay. The bbq is very close to the unit and was exceptionally clean with a large accommodating space to relax at. What we didn’t realize is the property also comes with some gear for the beach so no need to rent boogie boards or beach umbrellas. Based on the reviews from the kids and our experience, we will definitely come back!

We had a great stay at this condo—gorgeous grounds, beach hut with rentals, athletic club and pool, AC, great kitchen, living room, and lanais. Beautiful view of the ocean!

We can't say enough good about Kiahuna Plantation Resort by Outrigger. We planned this trip in 2019 but Covid killed it. We thought we would lose the deposit on the VRBO but the owner, Kim, worked with us to hold the deposit until Covid passed and we were able to finally visit Kauai in 2022. THANK YOU KIM for being flexible and working with us on this!! Regarding the property itself, the grounds were immaculate and in good repair and the buildings were also clean and in good repair, both inside and out. We did have a minor issue with the phone and TV remote but the repair crew was there in literally 5 minutes of our phone call to the front desk and fixed both issues in about 10 minutes. The interior of the condo was a nice stacked layout with plenty of room for both sleeping and hanging out for us and our 4 kiddos. There are air conditioning units in the main sleeping rooms which was an unexpected bonus. The beds, pillows, and bedding were good quality and clean. We stayed 9 days and had a room cleaning at the mid-point which was perfect. Our room had both an upper and lower deck + patio and we sat out on them almost every morning for breakfast to just eat, sip a coffee, and watch the ocean. We also chilled on the patio/deck at night a couple evenings. The local Gecko's would crawl up and join us on occassion. Our specific condo was on the South end of the resort, right across the street from the beach - about a 60 second walk from the ocean. The Health Club (pool + bar) was just North of the property, about a 7-minute walk from our condo. As a fun side-note, the kids loved the frogs in the pond near our condo and went to look at them every time we left our room to go somewhere.

We had a wonderful stay. The property had a nice view of the ocean! The walk to the beach was short and convenient (took you right past the beach hut). The condo was very spacious, clean and well stocked. The host was very kind and super accommodating in helping us reschedule d/t COVID travel restrictions. Thank you! We will be back!

Near the rental area to get chairs, boogy boards, etc. Food was really hard to find in Poipu so it was nice having a fully equipped kitchen. I recommend going to Costco on the way from the airport. There’s also a Safeway in Lihue. Restaurants are packed and close early so I wouldn’t rely on them. Kim was great to work with. She responded quickly and sent out lots of wonderful recommendations. Con: the plantation shutters do not have windows, just a screen. We found it to be a bit humid inside the condo due to that fact. Overall we loved staying here.

We enjoyed the spacious home- super clean and comfortable. The resort was great with beautiful gardens, well maintained BBQ’s, and very helpful staff. We enjoyed the athletics club, making use of the gym, tennis courts, and other games. Highly recommended!!

This spacious unit was great for our family. The unit had everthing we needed for all ages and was only steps away from a beautiful sandy beach. The owners were fantastic to work with! Will definitely come back to this unit on subsequent visits.

The condo was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The location, just steps from the beach, is all we could ask for!

Kim was a great communicator and made the booking easy for us. We were already familiar with the area and the rental was in the perfect location right across the street from the Sheraton/Kiahuna Beach - perfect for surfing, sun, and sand! The rental had everything we needed - most of all, AC and a washer/dryer (not easy to find). Thanks so much for a wonderful stay - so spacious and comfortable!
