The house is stunning and sparkling clean. Air conditioning works well and beds are super comfortable. On site property managers took such good care of us - booking massages, making delicious dinner and cake, raking the sand daily, bringing fresh towels, getting us bicycles...WOW! We had 4 couples here and had our meals in the screened in patio and it was perfect. I would definitely recommend this property. As a tip to future travelers - we were glad we had a rental car to get around.

This place was perfect for our two families of four. Two of the bedrooms are completely separate (you have to go outside to enter), which was nice for a little bit of separation. Kitchen has full size appliances and a dishwasher! The screened in porch is great for evening bugs. Ruben takes amazing care of the grounds. He was outside raking the sand every morning (I think he sprays for bugs too, which was great. We definitely got way more bug bites when we went out to dinner at night than when we stayed home). We had Ruben and Mariza cook for us two nights and it was sooo delicious. Agree with everyone else, much better than the food we got out. Everyone raves about the key lime pie which was delicious, but the chocolate cake was amazing! Definitely get the 2 for 1 pizzas at Turtle Inn on Sunday night. They are great. The water and beach right at the house were perfect for our 5-8 yo kids. They loved the kayaks and SUP. On calm days, you can go quite far up and down the shoreline. It’s very close to the airport but no early or late flights. It really didn’t disturb our experience. We rented a car and drove from BZE. Easy drive and given the location, was really necessary. You are far enough from Placencia town and/or Maya Beach that you will want transportation. Amazing place, would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing stay at La Rotonda. The property was clean and very well cared for. The grounds are lush and beautiful, home to geckos, iguanas and so many birds. There was more than enough room for all 3 generations to spead out and enjoy. Ruben and Mariza were absolutly wonderful to have on the property. The beach is raked and pool deck swept daily and we had turndown service in the bedrooms and kitchen every other day. We enjoyed 3 meals in, cooked by Ruben and Mariza and they were some of the best meals we had. Communication with the owner was easy and quick. We honestly cant say enough good things about this place and look forward to our trip again next year. Do not hesitate to book this property, you will not regret it!!! Thank you Ruben, Mariza and Hee De! We feel so blessed by our time at Rotonda.

Oh my goodness, we miss La Rotonda and Ruben and Maritza already! This was the PERFECT property for a relaxing family vacation with our children and their partners. The house and grounds are immaculate and beautiful. There are only good surprises to be found. It's exactly as described on VRBO only better. Hee was wonderful in communicating with me after we booked, answering my questions and prompting me to get my golf carts reserved. I was able to send a grocery list to her so that staples were already in the house when we got there. That was a huge convenience. She really wanted us to have a great stay! I can't say enough about Ruben and Maritza. They are very knowledgable about Placencia and have great tips for what to do and where to dine. They'll arrange anything for you - tours, massages, airport transportation. They kept the house and the grounds spotless, something we didn't expect as part of the house rental. But the best thing they do is their cooking service. We ate out a few times to get out of the house and see the island, but the meals they prepared for us were by far the best. It's not the cheapest way to dine in Placencia, but the quality and quantity is wonderful and we always had leftovers to eat the next day. Ruben even made a chocolate birthday cake for my daughter and Maritza provided beautiful decorations. Thank you for a truly beautiful week. We hope to come back someday!

Our stay at was phenomenal. Our entire family enjoyed the vacation over Christmas and the New Year. Ruben and Mariza, who run the property, made our lives an absolute joy and cooked both a Christmas and a 60th Anniversary dinner for our group. We could not have asked for a better way to spend the time together. Ruben and Mariza were so gracious in helping with certain event plans, such as snorkeling, making restaurant reservations, etc., which really was a great help. The property is in the most stunning location and perfect for a quiet Belizean get away. We look forward to our future trips back.

A well tended and cared for home and property. The perfect setting for a tranquil vacation with friends. Our time was made even more special due to the professionalism, care and attention by Ruben and Mariza. They are five-star caretakers with five-star talents in the kitchen!! Every day was a new and delicious culinary experience.

Great location! Easy to get anywhere by golf cart. Well stocked kitchen for cooking and the pool and outdoor area are perfect.

The property was accurate to the listing and pics. Ruben and Mariza were wonderful hosts and amazing human beings. They were available everyday for questions as well as providing 5star service and in-home chef services. As others have said, Ruben’s key lime pie was AMAZING! The meals they prepared were always delicious and authentic. Property management communication and setup were 5 stars as well! Golf cart was awaiting our arrival and we hit the ground running! 😀 The pool was perfect and we spent hours everyday enjoying the view, and hanging out in the deck chairs. Oh yeah, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Rex, the house dog! Rex was awesome and quickly learned who we were and kept everything else away from us! Rex is a lover so be aware! And try to go easy on the treats…he’s on a diet! 😀 This property is great for adult friends, families and get togethers! If you are thinking of booking this property, rest your mind and DO IT! Book it now! Excellent air conditioning in the home and 5 bathrooms! (1 for each of the 4 bedrooms and 1 at the entrance of the home) The property is about a 10-15 min ride in the golf cart to the farthest points in Placencia. I can’t recommend La Rotonda more AH-MAZING!! Beautiful view, BEACH, close to town, infinity pool, fully stocked kitchen, daily room cleaning and they grocery shopped for us! This was the most unique and had the most amenities of any home I’ve rented. We paid for a private chef for lunch and dinner and it was the best meal we had!! They even had pool floats, and kayaks/paddleboards. It’s also gated for extra security. BOOK IT NOW!

The owner always responded promptly and the property managers were so helpful and the meals they prepared were outstanding! We should’ve planned more meals at the VRBO because they surpassed the meals we had at local restaurants. Thank you!

Everything was phenomenal. The location, pool and the uniqueness of the home were great. The staff was the best part. They are the best we’ve had. Staff was extremely pleasant. Made sure we got to taste Belize. We above and beyond for my kids and I. Can’t wait to come back.

We loved Rubin and Marisa, the meals that they cooked for us were out of this world. Hated to say good-bye, especially to resident dog “Rex”. Highly recommend, can’t wait to go back!

We could not have asked for a better home to enjoy our Placencia vacation. We have previously stayed in the Maya Beach area and preferred this location as it was closer to the airport and the village. Ruben and Mariza are so sweet and helpful, and we fell in love with Rex (the house dog). We will definitely considering staying again when we return to beautiful Placencia!

Incredible property. Patio and pool are stunning. Bedrooms/bathrooms excellent. Just a short ride to the village for shops, supermarket, and restaurants. Property managers cooked dinner for us 4 nights and each meal was fantastic. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at La Rotonda. The house was set up perfectly for our group of 8. The house, pool, beach and location were beautiful. The area was quiet, but a quick ride into the village. Ruben and Mariza went above and beyond. They were kind, accommodating, so helpful, and the food they prepared for us was some of the best we had on our trip. We can’t thank them enough. Everything was clean and well cared for. This was a magical place, and we would love to return.

We had a fabulous week in this unique home. It was very comfortable for our family of 9, including a 16-month-old, with strong air conditioning in each room, an individual ensuite for all 4 bedrooms, and a well-appointed kitchen. We had some successful anglers in our group, so we really used the kitchen and appreciated having the necessary tools for some fabulous dinners. When booking I wondered if we may be too far from town, but having been there, it's definitely not. The house is far enough away from the noise and hustle, but close enough to get there in 5 minutes. The pool is refreshing and we enjoyed some time on the kyacks. Ruben and Mariza were excellent hosts. They set us up with a baby crib and high chair before we arrived. They kept the property looking beautiful. We were fortunate enough to have them cook dinner for us one night, which we all highly recommend! And it would be a travesty to miss out on Ruben's key lime pie. By far the best any of us have ever had. Our family had a wonderful stay. This property really is 5 stars.

We had an amazing experience at La Rotonda with a family group of three adults and four young adults aged 19-25. The property is gorgeous and perfectly suited for a large group. There was a nice mix of private and public spaces. The pool was wonderful and there was nice swimming off the beach. Ruben and Mariza, the caretakers , we’re wonderful and excellent cooks. The meals we had at the house were our favorites in Placencia. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we made lots of memories.

We had a wonderful stay at this property with our family of five and our au pair. Enjoyed the property which was even better than pictured. Our hosts were incredibly helpful and gracious and highly recommend arranging an evening or two for them to cook for you! The location was wonderful in that it was close and accessible to the main town but we appreciated being away from the business and the noise. This property was the highlight of our stay in Placencia.

We loved our stay last February so much that we returned. Once again, met our expectations...ample space, beautiful setting, great managers, lots of great amenities, very safe and secure. Beautiful home! Only bummer is to see so much trash and plastic in the water in Placencia, really sad ...we collected it daily and filled a big cardboard box.

The property is very well maintained, in a great location close to town and shopping but still quiet and secluded, and right on a beautiful private beach. Ruben and his partner were excellent hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Ruben is an amazing chef and cooked delicious dinners and lunches for us. We highly recommend this place for your stay in Placencia and will stay again if we find ourselves in the area in the future.

If you are thinking whether or not you should rent this property, stop thinking about it and BOOK! The location is great, just a short ride to the city center. The house is charming and accommodated 8 of us! But most importantly, the staff is second to none! We have been all over Mexico and Costa Rica, but this was by far the most accommodating staff we have ever had. Ruben et al is not only a helpful guide, he is an unbelievable chef. Five stars does not do this property and staff justice!

My dad, three brothers and I had an amazing stay at La Rotunda. Ruben, the property manager, and Maritza, his beautiful wife, were fantastic, from start to finish. I had read reviews that said Ruben was a gourmet chef, but didn’t realize that HE REALLY IS a phenomenal cook. We had delicious dinners and a couple of great breakfasts prior to going to the marina everyday to fish for permit. The property is as pictured- truly wonderful. We made some wonderful memories at La Rotunda.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The Rotonda is a beautiful property, clean and well taken care of. It was more than enough space for our group of 7. It is centrally located, just a quick golf cart ride to shops and restaurants. Additionally, I can’t say enough good things about Ruben and Mariza, they were exceptional - cooking dinners for us a few nights, cleaning up around the place and providing recommendations on where to go. We loved every minute of our stay!

From start to finish this rental process was excellent. One of our favorite vacation rentals to date! House is beautiful, simply decorated and stylish. Ample space and privacy for our family. Screened porch was perfect for games at night and the pool was spotless and with a sea view. Marisa and Ruben were so helpful and are great cooks... lobster, ribs and more! We will be back!

Our first visit to Belize and we are so glad we chose Placencia! We stayed at this lovely home for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year’s holiday. Ruben and Mariza are the caretakers of the home and treated us like royalty. Ruben is an incredible chef and cooked dinner for us much of our stay (lobster was a fave). Our group of five had plenty of room to spread out and we used the beach bikes several times to explore the town. We also went kayaking and paddle boarding every day and spent countless hours lounging around the pool and on the beach. Plenty of room for cornhole and beach volleyball or badminton. The house is located just north of the airport so very easy to get into town while being away from the town center. We were surprised how uncrowded Placencia was even during high season. We did several excursions while there and would highly recommend the ATM cave and a snorkel trip to the nearby cayes. Our next visit we will probably drive from Belize City which will give us more options as the roads aren’t that bad, just watch the speed bumps. We can’t wait for our next visit to La Rotonda!

This house was so perfect for our family vacation. The location on the beach and a beautiful pool to enjoy out our back door was amazing. Ruben and his wife were very helpful as we made plans throughout the week. We would highly recommend this home to any family!

First off, our experience was top notch because of property managers Ruben and Marisa. The home was cleaned daily, they provided great recommendations, to local attractions, and they even cooked fabulous meals upon request. Ruben was prompt in his correspondence. The landscape was well-kept and maintained on daily basis. The view of the ocean and beach was magical. They even arranged for golf carts and massages for additional costs. But most importantly they provided adequate privacy and immaculate customer service.

This was one our best vacations, and the driving force was having this home to stay in. The owner and caretaker were easy and fun to work with, taking care of all our needs. A good locations for all the excursions we took and a wonderful place to unwind.
