We had a lovely stay. Loved walking to the beach for sunset every night, sitting on the front lanai after a day’s activity, easy walk to town and the farmer’s market. Felt very safe in the neighborhood. Beautiful views out the kitchen window. Towels were yummily soft. Would have preferred to not find dried food under the couch. Must remove the description of a dishwasher present.

We loved our stay at this little Hanalei hideaway! We love the north side of the island for its green beauty, beaches and waterfalls. This cute house had views of all of it. From one bedroom, we could see moutains and waterfalls, from the other, we could see the beach and bay. The walks to the beach and the Hanalei stores and restaurants were quick and easy. The house was clean and comfortable, and Kauai Vacation rentals, who manages the property, was very easy to work with. We would definitely stay there again!

Within walking distance of both local shops (including a grocery store) and the beach. Views from the home were beautiful. Be advised there is no ac or dishwasher. There are multiple fans, and we kept the windows open, which was sufficient with the breeze. Washer and dryer are a bonus. The kitchen was well equipped, and we appreciated the beach chairs, and used the grill. I will definitely rent here again if we get the chance to come back. Customer service with the rental process was exceptional. I love Hanalei. Neighbors were quiet. We did have a rooster and his family, including chicks nesting in the shrubs. If you want to drive to Ha'ena State Park, be prepared to reserve early for that. Hanalei Bay was beautiful and the water just right for the month of May. You don't need full sun to enjoy the beach; we went out on "cloudy" days and still felt warm. We only had one day out of five that was rained out.

The homes location could not be better. And the space is totally adequate for 2-4 people but it didn’t work so great for us with our kids (age 4 and 8 months). The walls don’t go up to the ceiling so there is no sound barriers. Sliding glass doors with no marks or stickers so my kids kept running into them. And the deck and stairs are quite dangerous for little kids to go upand down or be on the deck alone. Also no kids beach toys or wagon.

This was our second stay at Hanalei Hideaway and perfect both times. Despite the increased traffic and crowds a few blocks away, not much has changed which is a relief. Kauai Vacation Rentals is always a pleasure to deal with--thoughtful, professional and caring.

Our stay at Hanalei Hideaway was a good one. We enjoyed sitting out in the lanai every morning having our coffee and looking at the ocean. We were glad the rental has some great fans to use which were perfect for sleeping and staying cooler. We were able to walk or bike to town as well as to the beach! The unit was clean and worked out great for my husband and I. The management company was very nice. The one item I wish was different would be to have a lock box with the key or a code to get in. It was a little bit of a inconvenience to have to drive to Lihue to pick up keys for a rental way up in Hanalei. Mahalo!

This property is just right for small families who want to have a nice vacation without breaking the bank. Good location and Walking distance to everything. The only negative is there is no AC. It isn’t always needed but the house can get stuffy if there is no breeze.

Within walking distance to everything. A perfect and beautiful view of the mountains out of the picture window in the kitchen. Amenities are well thought out to include everything you would need. Loved the history of the house learned through pictures and text. We would stay here again and again!

This is my second time renting from Kauai Vacation Rentals and my second stay in Hanalei. I was very happy with my stay and my chosen accommodation - an easy walk to shopping and the beach, the home was comfortable and well maintained and everything needed for a relaxing stay was right there. It also has a large garden area, both front and back which was great when the sun was shining. The front deck was also nice in the evening to relax and watch the world go by before sundown while listening to the sound of the ocean and the birds. When we lost power during a storm, the next door neighbour very kindly called and offered a supply of water or the use of their gas stove if necessary which was very thoughtful of them - particularly when they will have a revolving door of neighbours through the year. Would certainly consider renting this property again in future.

We quickly felt at home here in Hanalei. The property had a gorgeous view from the kitchen of the Napali mountains and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch. The vintage decor and laid back vibe matched the description provided. Close to the beach and downtown. 5-10% less on the price would be perfect.

Wonderful house with beautiful views and quick access to the beach. We loved the week we spent here. The furniture is stylistically slightly dated, but you definitely won't care about that even one little bit once you arrive and spend a couple of minutes sitting on the Lanai.

Authentic Hawaiian beach cottage with some vintage flair. This place was magical for us. Front porch with ocean view as a perfect place for breakfast and awesome sunsets. Only a few minutes walking to the beach or to restaurants and coffee shops at the Main street. We stayed here for almost one months with our 6 months old sun and had the best time of our life.

Lovely option less than 5 minute walk to Hanalei Bay
We absolutely adored the vintage character present in every room here, the family history and how it came to be. I’ve stayed in multiple places all over the island and this is truly a sweet lil hideaway. You can not beat the walking proximity to the bay, the pier, the vibrant, unique shops, pubs and restaurants. Bring your friends, family, lovers, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing getaway!
This place was perfect for our family getaway! They are not lying about how close it is to both the beach and the markets. This place is equipped with all amenities including beach chairs, umbrella and sand toys for the kids. Hanalei beach is incredible. We are definitely planning on visiting again!

Cute house with gorgeous views
We enjoyed our stay at Hanalei. The house was comfortable and location was very convenient. The welcome gift was a really nice surprise. The views of the mountains from the kitchen are incredible!
In terms of privacy, the house has a large backyard, but it is at very close proximity to houses on the right and the left, so you do hear noise from neighbors throughout the day. Also, we noticed there were people passing through the property and under our window every day, which made us a bit uncomfortable. So overall, it didn’t feel very secluded.
One thing we were not aware of is that there are no shampoo/conditioner provided, so we had to run and get some, which wasn’t a big deal, however we didn’t expect it.
Overall we had a great stay, and we loved the chicken!

Older world perfection
The house reflects the age of the area, older but comfy. It has every single amenity a small holiday party could want including 4 beach chairs and an umbrella. We thoroughly enjoyed it…in fact we cooked using the kitchen and/or the BBQ every single night for a week. Close to beach and the shops. Worth noting that the two bedrooms have walls that do not go all the way to the ceiling but are separated by the bathroom which has a ceiling. We would book it again.

Relaxing stay in a simple, tranquil cottage with views of the mountains and of Hanalei Bay. Short walk to a perfect, uncrowded beach or to town. All we hoped for!

Hanalei Vacation
What most amazed me was the ocean view front the front deck- we moved a small table from below to the deck and enjoyed morning coffee and dinner :) It was perfect for the three of us- and Weke Rd is the perfect location- quick walk to the beach or into town- it was quiet and beautiful- highly recommend for small group!

Great option for family of 4
Great location on Weke Road equidistant from Pine Trees and Pavilion beach entrances. As advertised the place is small and rustic. But it has beautiful front and back lawns with a view from the back windows of the mountains. You can even see the water a little bit from the front porch. I'd stay here again because our family loves the simple layout and traditional feel. If you are looking for modern amenities and recent construction, this is not for you.

Keys were at the rental car company. Great service. It’s a great way to experience this sleepy surfer town. It was exactly what we wanted: a simple beachy cottage.

February 2018 Stay
The perfect place! Great location, close to the beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants on the main street. Quiet and comfortable. Went to Haena beach twice and walked up to Ke'e and down to Tunnels. Checked out the farmer's markets and did yoga at Yoga Hanalei. We are having a great time!

Perfect house close to beach
If you are looking for the perfect house near the beach and a short walk to restaurants, then this is your place. You can walk to the beach for Sunset or just to swim at this calm (in summer) beach. Short drive to many attractions like Queen's Bath, Princeville Ranch, Blue Hawaiian Helicopter rides, many great snorkeling beaches. We were also able to do some birding at Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge.
