We had a great week long stay at this property! House was comfortable and cozy. Location was perfect! Parking in driveway only accommodates 2 1/2 vehicles. All others will need to park in street. There are no closets in the rooms, but there were hooks all over each of the rooms and bathrooms that made up for it. We initially planned on 12 people and ended up with 9. 5 adults and 4 kiddos. We would have been uncomfortable if all 12 had come. Wonderful week and would definitely rent the house again!!

the home is lovely but blinds are needed. The living room is so bright in the morning you need sun glasses. the bathroom upstairs has no blinds and the neighbors can see in. the pots and pans are in terrible shape, broken handles and all. Little stingy with the towels.

We recently had a large group stay at the property during the July 4th holiday and while we were pleased with the location and views, we were disappointed with the condition of the home when compared to the online photos. Simply put, the home needs attention in many areas. The living room furniture is badly worn and feels dirty to the touch. The beds not good quality and several mattresses have unsightly stains on them. The wooden floors (in some corners) appear to have been eaten away by rodents or are perhaps rotting. Either way, there are gaping holes areas that need to be addressed to prevent pests and rodents from entering from beneath the home. Paneling in some parts of the home is coming apart and the sink has no disposal which made it a mess to cook/dispose of food trash. Furthermore, the house has an overwhelming musty smell throughout that detracts from the comfort of the home. All these things combined caused us to cut our stay short by a day and that was unfortunate. Again, the location and views are really good but the homes is not reflective of the rental rate, IMO. Our group previously owned a home on the same stretch of coast for over 10 years (which we also rented) so i feel like our group can sympathize with the ordinary "wear and tear" of a coastal rental but for the rate this home charges, it will need some TLC before I can raise the overall rating. I hope others find this helpful and I hope this post prompts the owner to address some of these issues.

Our group of 12 people, including 4 kids, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It has great beach access and a lovely balcony that we all enjoyed. Three of the bedrooms also have balcony access. We were disappointed to find out that they have a strict no visitor policy as we have family that wanted to visit during the day. They do make you sign a contract. You may consider asking to look over the contract before you book. The portion of the beach directly in front of the house has no vehicle access, which we were happy about. You can park nearby on the beach if needed, though. Overall it was a great location and accommodated our large group well.

This is a perfect house for our annual family beach trip; there is enough room to accommodate our grown children and their babies, whether we are sleeping, eating, playing board games or watching TV. The location is great since the beach crossover is just a few steps away. The view from the balconies is great as well. We will definitely be back!

The property is overall gorgeous, but when you see the details, there are several missing pieces of wood trim on the patio, the hot and cold knobs switched in one of the bathrooms, knobs and pieces of decorative pieces missing, etc. The location was amazing and the beach is absolutely perfect, definitely the place to be. Overall an absolutely wonderful stay and recommend to large families due to the space and rooms being spread out. Would also recommend some TLC for it.

Great beach house

Loved the comfy home. Plenty of room for family games and meals. Fit us perfectly. Most definitely will be back!

We rented this home for a family trip to Galveston over New Years. It was a wonderful home! 5 bedrooms with a good ratio of space for kids and adults. Several seating areas in the living room and kitchen area making it easy for the family to spend time together. The home is in a quiet cul-de-sac with the walkover bridge to the beach steps away. Beautiful views from several balconies and a great space beneath the home outside for rinsing off after the beach. The rental process via Gary Greene Vacation Rentals was straight forward and everything happened on time and as expected. The only suggestions we had for the home were that some of the beds upstairs are a bit small if adults are occupying the rooms and we’d recommend adding a couple cookie sheets to the kitchen (we couldn’t find any unless we missed them somehow!). Overall we loved the home and would rent it again!

I hate to say anything was wrong, I only had 2 small issues, the door lock on back door would not work at all so the door was unlocked the whole weekend, and the stove burners on one side did not work, I still give this home 5 Stars because those things in my opinion is something that just happened

This home perfectly accommodated our two families. I had such a connection to it I seriously would consider buying it. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.

We really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is upscale, the house is charming and comfortable. The view of the beach is breathtaking and picturesque. There is nothing detracting from this property except perhaps the distance from shopping and entertainment. However, to be fair all properties on this island are limited in this way. Just expect a 25 minute drive each way for any major shopping and entertainment. There are a few (very few) convenience stores, restaurants and gas stations outside of downtown Galveston so plan accordingly.

This property was well kept and appointed for a group min-vacation. Nice accommodations! Only thing that could have been better is more adult beds for couples!

This home was perfect for our vacation and our all time favorite VRBO home!! It was a few steps away from the beach and was fully furnished with everything we needed. Very nice quiet neighborhood and away from the craziness near the Seawall area. We cannot wait to go back!! I recommend taking bug spray and buying groceries before you arrive because the store up the road is very expensive. Also, be aware of the snakes! I came across a baby rattlesnake but luckily I was able to see it in time to run away. Lol!! The owner of the home did put a small sign giving us a heads up but wish it was a little bigger and somewhere visible like near the bottom patio. It was in a very small bag on top of the sink. But other than that the home was very beautiful and very clean!!! We loved the home so much and highly recommend it!!

Property was accurately listed. Lots of bed space, beautiful open main room. Bed mattresses could do with replacing and poor noise insulation, but for 6 adults this was a great vacation stay.

We loved the house. The 5 grandson's had a blast in the bunkbed room. The ocean view from the kitchen, living room and bedrooms were wonderful. Coffee on the deck watching the sunrise was heavenly.The area between the large table and sofa was a little tight, but great for all the kids. It was so nice to just walk down to the beach. The kids had so much fun looking for crabs with their flashlights at night. It is a great place to make wonderful memories with your family.

Up stairs beds were squeaky and one toilet upstairs made high pitch noise. Minor stuff, just a bit annoying for those sleeping upstairs. Beautiful home, I highly recommend.

You really can't beat this amazing view and access to the beach. The house was well kept,charming and clean. There was a little quirk when it came to the house- a high pitch sound with the plumbing. They also include only one towel per person, one trash bag for the whole house, one dishwashing detergent, ect so you need to plan ahead and buy these items. Not a huge deal but usually there is more stock when it comes to this big of house. Overall, we would stay there again and really enjoyed the time at the beach!

The property was ok. It was clean. And there were enough bedrooms for us. It had good beach access. However, it had a few issues. It was advertised as room for 12. Unless they all came in a couple of clown cars packed with 6 people apiece, it would not hold 12 - had we not been with someone in a close by place, it would have been bad. They need to have room for at least 4 cars when saying it has room for 12. Maybe they should open up the garage. Also, the plumbing is not good. It makes a high pitch noise all night - sometimes you can go flush a toilette to stop it. But it starts back up later. Finally, one of the room doors does not close and I had to fix the door to the outside where the lock box sits - its catch got caught in the door. In short - it was a nice enough place, but just not the big place for 12 we were counting on. I think its a nice place, but not worth what we paid for it. If they fix the plumbing, doors, and upgrade the parking, it might be perfect. Again, we were with another group two houses down and their place was perfect, so we had room for everyone's cars.

Our 3 night stay was made unnecessarily unpleasant by the agents managing the property, Gary Green. We live 2h30 away from the property and tried to get there as early as possible mainly to get my daughter settled for her scheduled online class. In addition we were traveling with our 1 yr old so wanted to arrive at a time that would not interrupt nap time. The agents we spoke to were completely inflexible on this, even to arrive 20-30 minutes early was a problem for them. Furthermore, after I had paid in full via VRBO, I got an email from Gary Greene advising me I had not paid??!! This was baffling since I had the payment confirmation from VRBO....Gary Greene associates then advised me that actually they couldn’t accept payment from the VRBO and needed further specific authorization from me. We’ve used VRBO before for getaways without this annoyance. Only conclusion is that Gary Greene’s processes have not kept up with the times or they were just using the opportunity by up selling ‘travel insurance’ by claiming we had not paid. Finally, of the 3 nights, we were without internet for one night. My older daughter had school assignments to complete and submit and online classes while we waited for Gary Green to respond. We are Centre called the emergency line. The password and internet details they originally provided were wrong! They sent a text message only after I promoted them the next morning! While the house was nice and in a good location,, no house is nice enough for me to have to deal with the managers Gary Green again. As a property owner, I would recommend the owners find new agents

The view is the best. Watched the sun rise every morning. Short distance to beach where no cars are allowed. Lots of room to walk. Miles and Miles. Quite neighborhood. The house has lots and lots of sunlight. It’s needs a few items fixed but nothing that effected the fun we had for the week. The internet is fast and plenty of channels to watch. Lots of books to read if you that is what you want. Again, great view lots of sand and just a super place to relax.

Check-in was easy. House was smaller than pictures made it seem. Very cluttered in the living room / kitchen. Cabinets in Kitchen felt sticky and the Bed’s were not comfortable. The doors to the patios need repair and replacement. House is definitely a bit older than expected, which gave it some charm. Make sure to bring extra TP / Towels / and big-spray. Had to use beach crossover further away from the house because the closer one was not passable. Mosquito’s were vicious!!!
