Amazing property. Two levels of wraparound porch with incredible views of the lake and mountains. Excellent set up for a large group-- ample seating both upstairs and downstairs for our group of nine. Easy access to great hikes-- we did the gem lake trail a short eight minute drive away. Hope we can return sometime!

We came for my daughter's graduation. We booked both cabins. The views are breath taking. More than enough space with both cabins. The full kitchen and games were perfect. Thank you!!!

Great scenery of the lake and mountains. Plenty of room. Owner very responsive to texts. Only negative would be some areas of house in need of repair/updating.

The view from the deck is incredible!! Definitely my favorite feature of the property. Otherwise very comfortable beds and seating - room to spread out which was great! We loved it!

Spent Christmas with family at this property. Large great room/kitchen was perfect for visiting/eating/playing games. Absolutely incredible views overlooking Lake Estes. And, it snowed just enough to have a white Christmas!

Lots of things that need repair or are broken (bathtub won't hold water, screen doors are broken and won't close properly, and numerous other issues. Owner uses part of property for construction storage. Yard is unkept. Basement smells like urine (complained to owner but never heard back). Not enough glasses and silverware for everyone to use if eating in. Pots and pans are dirty and uncleaned. For the price, we've stayed in much nicer... but the view of the lake is tremendous.

Overall, this was a great vacation. The cabin itself was nice and functional. The location was beautiful with lots of windows and a huge deck overlooking Lake Estes and the surrounding Rocky Mountains. It was very convenient to RMNP. The finishing touches of the cabin could have been better-trim missing, screen doors nonfunctional, and a lot of building material strewn around the property. However, we were able to overlook most of this as the location and view were amazing!

The cabin was in immaculate condition and offered all the amenities we could imagine in the freezing cold weather in Estes. Check-in was very easy and we had a wonderful time!

This is such a great spot! This was our first time in Estes Park and we were looking for a social distancing getaway with our fur babies and friends. Even though this is very close to the main road, you do not notice at all. The views are spectacular, the house is perfect for a larger group and the house was fully stocked with literally every item you might need! We had a small issue with one of the showers and the owner came and fixed it immediately, plus gave us a sweet New Years gift for the kids and adults! We will definitely be back and would totally recommend this to anyone looking for relaxing getaway!

We just returned from our Colorado escape from quarantine in Estes Park at Lake Haus. And, while the house itself is very nice and quite spacious - even quite updated and the view of the lake is spectacular, there were several things about this house that would make us not recommend for future rentals. The main reason was the number of mice in and around the house due to the large piles of construction debris that is stored in the driveway and along the non-lake side of the property. We should have known when we found mice-traps placed around the house that it might be an issue. We had to dispose of two of them that were caught ourselves. Also, Mike was not very responsive. I had tried to contact him weeks in advance about our intention to bring a dog along on our trip and never received a response (just noticed after the fact that we were charged for the dog, but with no notification that was happening), even after multiple attempts to connect. We also did not receive lock/access instructions to the property until we drove into town the day of our arrival (again, multiple attempts to get hold of Mike and get the info, with his voicemail greeting stating that he was "Out of the country") - Mike did call my cell phone and provided the instructions as we were driving around Estes Park before check-in time, stating that he would follow up with an email - which we never received. The final issue with this house is the proximity to the main highway going into Estes Park itself, as it runs along side the property so what might be a peaceful lake-front time on the extended deck (which is a very nice deck with a hot-tub, which was nice but the cover was broken so you could only open it half-way), was not relaxing due to the excessive noise from passing traffic. All and all, I would not recommend this house for anyone looking for a relaxing mountain/lakefront escape.

This property is on a main thoroughfare, but the noise didn't bother us at all from the deck. Beautiful views from 2 decks facing the lake. The house is well-appointed and worked well for our group of 3 couples. We had some issues with water pressure, but otherwise enjoyed our time immensely.

We rented this mountain home as a place to gather our three grown children and their spouses for our biennial holiday celebration. The house is large and rustic with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and lounge. Both levels have many sofas for reading and napping. The kitchen was well laid out and we were able to easily prepare all our meals. The large dining table allowed us to all eat together and play family board games comfortably. The view is magnificent and the hot tub was hot and ready for a long soak 24/7. I personally appreciated the large pull down TV/video screen downstairs since it was away from the main area and I didn't have that droning in the background all day. Also, this is the first house we've rented where there were really four separate bedrooms and we all appreciated the privacy. We are seriously considering returning to this house for our next gathering. This is a typical rustic mountain home with the predictable quirks. We loved how comfortable and cozy it was and that we didn't have to worry about putting our feet up on the sofa or setting down a glass without a coaster. It felt like home and we settled right in.

We were 5 minutes early for check in and were made to feel unwelcome and that they weren't ready for us. The place wasn't cleaned properly. We found prior renters' dirty underwear in the bedroom, the tv remotes were missing and eventually found deep inside the couch along with empty bottles and food. Couldn't figure out how to operate the tv... no instructions. Cleaners left laundry in the washing machine that ended up getting all moldy before we discovered it, so we couldn't use the washing machine. We only had enough towels to get through part of our stay. The dumpster didn't have any latch to keep it closed (which is supposed to be mandatory) and a bear drug it downhill, tipping it over and throwing trash everywhere. The police were called by someone because of the mess and we were detained a couple hours from our last day of scheduled sight seeing (and were asked to clean it up) because the police couldn't get ahold of the owner, but finally did. Through it all the owner was very slow to respond, sometimes greater than a day. Great communication prior to our stay. Extremely poor once we arrived. Owner promised a partial refund for all of our trouble in 2 different communications, giving excuses why he hadn't done so yet. We never got a partial refund and he stopped replying to my messages. Expected much better for the big cost, which was far greater than our other big family vacations.

Bug free perfect dinners on the balcony overlooking the lake and clean comfortable rooms with all the amenities. We rented both cabins for a family reunion and had a wonderful stay. All the kids had an opportunity to catch a trout off the big rock just below the cabins and we all found something to do in the vicinity , hiking, put-put golf, fishing and shopping. Great place!

Walked in to trash left on the floor by the house cleaner, refrigerator door didn’t work properly, access to property was limited due to construction of entrance toad which I as the renter had to deal with. Told of limited car parking after we arrived, cleaning lady was parking on property and manager unaware. Parking area had construction material and was not kept well. Will find better accommodations next time.
