The location is truly remarkable. It's less than a 2 minute walk to the beach, or to walk along Pleasure Point!
The garage is fully stocked with everything you could need at the beach - bikes, boards, sand toys, towels...you name it.
The downstairs is a private suite with double doors to the hot tub. The main living area is upstairs with a kitchen, bathroom and two adjoining bedrooms. This was plenty of space for four adults and two small children - the trundle bed was a plus for my kiddos.
This is very functional and was great, but note that it's not a luxury spot. The kitchen is equipped but quite small - it would be difficult to prepare large meals and is a squeeze if two people are in it together. The main bathroom is also quite small, as are the upstairs bedrooms.

About 2 blocks from the cliffs where you can watch 100's of surfers and a 1 1/2 from a beach where you can relax, swim or stroll on the beach. We enjoyed the bikes too.
The house was clean and accommodated our family of perfectly. We have 3 teens and there was more than enough space for everyone.
Steve was wonderful at responding and gave us great tips for activities and where to eat. So appreciative!

Great stay! The house and location was perfect! The addition of the bicycles was amazing and made the trip so much better for our family! We loved our time at this location!! Family of 4 with 16&19 year old kids!

What a find! the house is great and has everything you need for a stay in Santa Cruz - including bikes, wetsuits and beach chairs. Kitchen is well equipped as well. The house is about 3 blocks from a great surfing spot - we made out way every morning to watch the surfers. 3 blocks the other direction is a good beach. Nothing bad to say about this rental. This is a two story house just off East Cliff Drive but still quiet. Only two blocks to a neighborhood market, short walk to Pleasure Point and 5 minutes to Moran beach. The primary bedroom is on the first floor and has room for a (rented) crib. The primary bathroom shower is small but clean and nicely tiled. The stairs are fairly steep and they have a child gate but we couldn't figure it out. The small bedroom with the trundle worked fine for my 3 & 4 year old grandkids but when pulled out it took up most of the room. They didn't care! The upstairs queen bedroom has access to the bathroom and the deck. The garage is loaded with bikes, sand wagon, toys, etc. The bikes definitely got used. Great stay, great location.

The property was just as described and we had a very pleasant long weekend. It was a very short walk to two different beaches, we used the cruiser bikes to cruise over to the boardwalk, and enjoyed the spacious and clean living/dining area.

This property was perfect for our trip. The location is close to everything, from Capitola Village to several beaches that are easily walkable from the home. The home is well equipped from the kitchen to the bikes. The beds were very comfortable and the living room offered tons of space.
The owner was amazing in working with us when I booked our stay a day shorter than I meant to and we had to make a last minute extension of our trip. We will be back for sure!

Very comfortable and inviting home. Fantastic location within a short walk to Pleasure Point.
Quiet neighborhood. Spotless home with outfitted kitchen, games, boards, scooters, beach bikes, etc (we used it all). Short drive to quality restaurants and market (New Leaf!!) and barber (Waves and Fades) on 41st Ave. Hope to return soon! Oh, and the breakfast burritos at Point Market are killlller!!!!

Our group of friends that have been together for 20+ years gathered here for the weekend and had a blast! The location is perfect. 5 minute walk to the beach and even shorter walk to a cute general store. The house is warm and inviting and stocked like a mix of a house and a hotel. The owner was super kind and helpful with recommendations. The hot tub was perfect for the rainy day that we had. The master bedroom is giant and super comfortable! I have saved this listing to use it again in the future and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a nice relaxing time in a welcoming environment.

I've been to the Capitola/ Cruz area for years for disc golf. (Delaveaga is the mecca) but ive never stayed in this neighborhood. Steve's place is sweet, neighbors are cool and the beach is a skip away, hot tub in the back and i didnt even have to log in to any of my accts for streaming ufc. Bicycles and surf stuff available also. Sweet spot

I enjoyed my visit to Steve's property. Very clean. I wasn't able to enjoy all of the nice amenities due to health issues, but this property is perfectly set up to enjoy our California coast. I wish the downstairs tv was set up. That's just me though. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for being a great host.

We walked to the beach, rode bikes to ice cream, soaked after surfing. We had a memory-making holiday with absolutely no complaints. Thank you for sharing this lovely home with us.

We (four adults, two little ones) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious and suited our needs perfectly. The location couldn't be beat, either!

This home was very warm and inviting. It’s a 2-story with a studio downstairs where the roomy foyer is, including the master bedroom, a kitchenette, roomy bathroom, and patio with hot tub. Upstairs is a large sitting/living room with a spacious, super cushyleather sofa and several chairs, to relax with Netflix+. The dining area and main kitchen are also upstairs along with 2 bedrooms and a back porch that leads to the deck where we had our dinners. The beds were comfortable. This house has an airy, roomy, homey feel. In addition, the house’s street was a small cut-out from the main road, nice and quiet. We loved it and plan to return. Access to the beach is just down the street, or you can walk directly around the corner for a beautiful ocean watching spot with a sitting area. We did both. Very enjoyable!

Perfect place for our family - all the gear for fun days at the beach (boogie boards, towels, bikes) and enough room for everyone. The host shared some great restaurant and beach tips beforehand which proved to be spot-on. We'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend the place to anyone!

My family and I really enjoyed this home. The location was amazing. Being so close to Moran Lake Beach and Pleasure Point was great to be able to just walk down to enjoy.
The garage was full of boogie boards, surf boards, wetsuits, bikes, beach chairs and towels. We didn't need to bring or buy anything to use at the beach.
The home was really nice. Kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans/knives and some staples (oils, salt/pepper, etc) which was nice since we stayed in for dinner about half the trip. BBQ worked just fine.
Hot tub was great to relax in and was maintained by a professional while we were there.
The beds are a bit soft so it took us some time to adjust (we prefer a firmer mattress) but other than that all the amenities were great!

If you’re looking to stay in the Santa Cruz area, this is a great spot. The house is a short walking distance to the Point where you watch great surfing or surf yourself. It’s also a short walk to a small beach good for swimming. We walked into town several times to check out the surf shops. The house has every beach toy / accessory you could need including many bikes. That was the main draw for us (location and beach supplies) and it did not disappoint. We were pleasantly surprised by the ample kitchen supplies and condiments as well. There was even ground coffee. It made the stay very comfortable and easy. Great communication with the host as well. Thanks for a great visit.

The photos on the listing do not do it justice. The amenities really made it easy to keep the kids entertained and it has everything you need for meals in. It’s super close to peak surfing and exploring the area is made easy by the bikes and scooters available for use. Steve made a lot of great recommendations. Cannot give enough praise.

Will definitely stay again. The kids loved the bikes, scooters, surfboards. Great set up for family. Never heard from owner but we didnt have any concerns. Only thing we needed was more toliet paper, trash bags , and no cleaning supplies to clean kitchen counters. Oveeall amazing week.

This beach house was perfect for our family and so conveniently located to great beaches, biking, farmer's market, people and surfer watching. We loved dining on the deck! The hot tub is a very nice perk too.

Steve was a wonderful. The location of this house makes for a peaceful and easy Santa Cruz experience. You can literally walk down the block with your surfboards to pleasure point and market and every guest had a sweet beach cruiser to bike to nearby shops. In the other direction, one minute away is the beautiful reservoir with snowy egrets and other birds and a sandy swimming beach across the street with sunsets. The house is immaculate, with highly organized kitchen supplies, and so comfortable with all the amenities. Couldn’t ask for more. One bedroom has a lovely deck and the main has a Garden with hot tub and outdoor shower. Neighbors even nice!

Great location. Just bad timing with the storm rolling through. Power stayed on so we bundled up and took advantage of the puzzles and games.

Our family of 4 was very happy at this property. Loved walking to Dunlap’s Donuts and then sitting on a bench and watching the waves, surfers and otters while we ate our breakfast. Kids loved the boardwalk. The master bed was super comfy. Walked to a different beach very nearby for sunsets. Great memories!

Clean, well equipped, great location! This is the second time I have stayed at this wonderful Eastside beach home in Santa Cruz. Walked into Capitola for dinner one night and enjoyed beautiful hikes at Henry Crowell State Park. Easy drive to explore Carmel for the day. Especially enjoy early morning walks along the cliffs as the surfers catch their first waves of the day.

You can see the ocean from the upstairs deck; a great place to have morning coffee or evening cocktails.
