My wife and I went on this trip to celebrate both our birthdays and our anniversary. Fred's accommodations were amazing. The condo was just as the pictures represented, but they were even cleaner and even more spectacular. He assisted us with excellent dining and activity recommendations, provided a car as well. I can't recommend his property high enough. You won't be let down, trust me on that! Thanks for a great stay and experience, we'll surely be back again!.

This place exceeded our expectations. It is first class. This 2 bedroom condo was spacious, clean, loaded with all the amenities a family could need. The appliances were top of the line. The decor was tasteful. The beds were comfortable The balconies were spacious... and the view...oh the view. It was glorious. To top it all off the car was included in the price. We loved exploring the island on our own schedule, not having to worry about taxis. It was perfect. The condominium complex was quiet. It seemed to be the slow season. So we had the pools to ourselves. We did not get to try the onsite restaurant because it was closed when we were there, but that was fine. There are many restaurants within walking distance or a short 5 minute drive. We were 5 minutes from the airport and Maho Beach. Even closer was Mullet Bay. This beach was amazing. Quiet, low key and pristine waters. Fred was there to great us on arrival. He was very accommodating and helpful. He has thought of everything a traveler would need. You won't be disappointed with this lovely place.

It was a very good experience from the beginning to the end. The facility was very clean and the condo was perfect. Fred was there to greet us, and show us around. He was also available to answer questions during the week. The car was a huge help. I would not recommend doing this trip without a car. The ability to call back to the states on a landline to keep in touch with our kids was very helpful. It was an all around great experience!

My husband and I have visited SXM for 9 years, and of that, 6 of them have been spent at Chez Sol Colista, and we’re booked again. That in itself speaks for how much we love it. The property is stunning, well appointed and clean. If at any time we notice some small thing we feel needs some attention, Fred is immediately on it whether he is on the island or not. For us, it’s like home away from home. Fred has pride in ownership, and throughout the soon to be 7 years that we’ve spent a vacation there, he continues to maintain and keep his property in excellent condition. Marcia, the housekeeper also has pride in her work. When you arrive at the condo, it looks and smells clean and so welcoming. Many people asked us if we aren't interested in going to other islands. Truth is, we have gone to many other islands, and basically one Caribbean island is pretty much the same as the next in our minds. For us, one of the most important things is feeling safe and enjoying the space you live in while away. There really is nothing one is lacking in this condo. Fred has thought of everything including wifi, and phone service to stay connected to home, and a clean vehicle for getting around. Fred has other places on the island, and there’s no doubt all would be at the same standard as Chez Sol Colista. This was our first stay in St. Maarten. I'm so glad we found this condo and the owner Fred. The place was beautiful and very comfortable. Everything was as presented on the website or better. The Cliffs is a wonderful and secure place to stay. The view from the balcony was spectacular!! The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the nightly breeze blowing through the suite was so relaxing. It was great to be able to sleep with the sliding doors open. The beach and pool area were beautiful. The SUV provided was a great benefit. My husband and I scheduled massages in the spa. The massages were the best we've ever experienced. The massages were so good that we returned later in the week for a 2nd massage. Well worth the cost!! Lastly, I must comment on the owner Fred. He was very helpful and informative throughout the entire trip planning process. He always responded very quickly to any of my inquiries, before and after we actually booked the condo with him. He greeted us with a nice note and bottle of wine waiting for us in the condo. On our last day, while we needed to check out by 11am, our flight didn't leave until 4pm. We were allowed to stay at the resort and enjoy the pool and restaurant even after checking out. They watched our luggage at the front desk. Fred was even so kind as to offer to drive us to the airport. It was so nice to have been able to meet him. I wouldn't hesitate to rent from him again and to recommend his rental unit to family and friends traveling to St. Maarten.

We arrived a day late, but Fred still greeted us at the condo. He had a nice bottle of wine and showed us the condo in great detail!!! He is an outstanding person to go out of his way to show us everything in detail. The condo came with a phone, and a car!!! My husband loved being able to keep in contact with work. The views from the condo are breathtaking!!!! We watched the planes and the cruiseships roll in. The condo had everything we needed and fit our family of 8. We got to know the housekeeper real well. She is very nice!!! It flelt like we had our own personal maid. I can't say enough good things about the condo. It is in a great location. My girls did comment on the sofa sleeper saying how comfortable it was. It was a queen size! My boys wanted it after that. I would not hesitate to rebook this condo. We hope to return to this beautiful island!

We visited St. Martin for the first time this May and we stayed in Fred's condo. When we first arrived, we were in awe of the immaculately clean and beautiful entrance to the complex. There are direct views to the ocean from almost every window, all which showcase the crystal blue water. Fred met us upon arrival and accommodated our (much earlier) arrival time. He gave us a thorough tour of the condo complex (gym, pools, saunas, etc.) and our personal condo for the week. Everything in our condo and in the complex was extremely clean, updated, and in great working condition. We were extremely impressed from the beginning. Fred was even so gracious to greet us with a card, wine, and host us at his place for a cocktail hour. We had a lovely time and loved meeting him and some of his family. My family loved the amenities of the condo and the area. My daughters and I used the pools and gym daily, my wife loved the sauna, and our condo had a gorgeous balcony that we spent our waking hours on when we were in the condo. The 2 bedrooms were spacious and clean, the bathrooms were comfortable, and the kitchen/living area was fantastic. The kitchen had plenty of space for any food we picked up in town and was stocked with any cooking need we could have needed. Overall, our week-long stay at Fred's condo was not long enough. We could not have had a better time in St. Martin, and we loved being able to use the rental car (that came with the condo) to explore the island. We highly recommend staying in Fred's complex, and we truly hope we can return sometime soon!

We stayed at this rental exactly one year ago and were so impressed that we booked it again for our 2016 trip. This condo just gets better and better and we had another fabulous stay. This year we arrived to a new sleeper sofa in the living room (pictures have not been updated as yet), new outdoor cushion covers and a new car. Fred is always updating and maintaining the condo in tip top shape. We had the opportunity to spend a few hours with him this trip and he is a remarkable individual who takes his rental business very seriously and it shows. We can't think of a better place to stay and hope we will be able to return in 2017. Please refer to our review from April 2015 for more details but you can't go wrong with this rental. Just book it - it is a little slice of heaven.....

I echo all of the wonderful things folks have said about Fred + this property. Location: convenient and breathtakingly beautiful. The views from the balcony are beautiful. It is close to the airport, restaurants, and a bustling area that is easy to get around. Amenities: The condo is everything you would want in your home: large TVs with lots of channels in both... the TV in the living room has more channels that my full package at home. The sound system is AWESOME! The kitchen area is fully stocked for all of your cooking, eating, reheating needs. Everything is modern and well taken care of. The included car and phone truly come in handy and the car is in better condition than any rental I've driven on SXM. The grounds: Beautiful! The view is gorgeous. The swimming pools are amazing (we used them both regularly - the indoor lap pool and outdoor pool). We were here on a much needed break (some friends came along and booked another unit). It was perfection. I would recommend and will definitely return.

From the time we arrived at Chez SoColisa, Fred was there to greet us with a bottle of wine. My wife myself and my wife's sister and her husband were there to celebrate our 36th anniversary. Fred took the time out to show us the condo as well as gave us a tour of the swimming pool, hot tubs, steam rooms, sauna rooms also the gym.I can't describe how great the place is, one has to experience it. The condo is very well equipped with all the facilities that one would need. The view of the ocean, what can i say, U can be in the kitchen cooking, u can see and hear the waves. I highly recommend this condo for anyone who is visiting ST. Maarten. Condo is walking distance to a casino, restaurants, the mall is just 2 blocks away as well as grocery shopping.

My sister and girlfriend and I were very pleased with our stay at Chez Socolisa! The building itself is gorgeous and fully equipped with good exercise equipment, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. But the condo itself was the real star of the show . . . beautifully and comfortably furnished with everything you'd possibly need. I found the kitchen, in particular, to be quite amazing as it was the best equipped kitchen I'd ever see in a rental (rivaling my own kitchen at home). The view of the sea from the balconies was just breathtaking. The free phone calls to the USA, free wireless wifi and free use of the automobile made our stay even more enjoyable. Fred was very responsive to our questions about the unit, and was very easy to deal with prior to our arrival. I will definitely try to return to Chez Socolisa upon my next visit to St. Maarten!

Had a wonderful stay recently at Chez Socolisa located at The Cliff condominiums. It’s proximity to the AUC medical school, the airport, and the many restaurants of Maho and Simspon Bay made this condo ideally located for our recent visit to St. Maarten. The included use of a car, a local cell phone, and free international calling were unexpected, but extremely useful, extras provided at no extra charge. Fred, the owner, happened to be on the island during our stay and could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. He even stopped by to deliver a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate our daughter’s med school graduation. This was our first VRBO experience and it was a great one.

Staying at the apartment Chez Socolisa was one of the best vacay decisions my husband and I ever made. We are a young couple, early 30s who were looking for beautiful beaches, easy access to nightlife and a comfortable space to stay. This rental provided it all and more! Location wise the property is great. In Cupecoy, there's easy access to the French side and you're in the heart of the nightlife action on the Dutch side (nightclubs, bars, stripclubs, shopping center, great restaurants all within walking distance). You're also minutes away from beautiful Mullet beach and the crazy action of Maho beach. Not to mention that the property is located directly on Cupecoy beach which, depending on the time of year that you travel, gives you exclusive access to the majestic caves and white sands of cupecoy. What made this stay so amazing was the atmosphere of apt 4d at the cliffs. Pictures can't do this place justice. Modern, clean, spacious, romantic lighting, spectacular ocean views, superbly equipped and the added luxury of a rental car, telephone and housekeeper sealed the deal on this rental. The owner Fred thought of EVERYthing when preparing this rental and will patiently explain it all to you on arrival. In addition to the apartment itself, the compound has indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, gym, hot tubs and during high season a restaurant and spa. Trust me you won't want to leave. St. Maarten is beautiful. Take a day trip to Anguilla if you can for an even more amazing experience (note to fellow Caribbean travelers that you can't leave from the French side ferry at Marigot without a French visa so be sure to take a private ferry from the Dutch side. It's more expensive but Shoal bay Anguilla is one of the top ten beaches in the world and so worth it). Moulin Fou is a great French restaurant located nearby. For sushi check out Bamboo Bernie's. Above bamboo is a sky lounge which is a very trendy, uptown vibe. I can't wait to come back with family and friends to show off this gem of a vacation spot that we stumbled upon.

There are so many things that are GREAT about this place, I hardly know where to start. It was everything that was promised and then some. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Linda who is the owner's agent/concierge. She had stocked the condo in advance of our arrival with all of the items we had asked for. She patiently and thoroughly explained everything we'd need to know about the condo, the building amenities, and the area. (She also can schedule excursions, tours, activities, etc.) The owner had left us a kind welcoming gift and a nice note as well. The pictures don't fully capture the beauty of the condo, The Cliff property, and the numerous amenities available. Unless you live in a million dollar condo overlooking the Caribbean Sea, you will be awestruck. The staff at The Cliff was always helpful and we were always greeted with a genuine smile by the front desk personnel. The housekeeper, Marcia, was a lovely person and by the end of our stay we felt a real attachment to her. The vehicle that was included in the rental was in excellent condition and use of a free cell phone was a bonus. The condo has two phone lines, one local and one free international. The furnishings were modern, the beds comfortable, and the complimentary coffee machine was great. Fred, the owner, was a great person to work with and was always available if we had a question or a concern from the time we made our deposit until after we had returned home. The location of the condo is probably one of the best on the Dutch side. It is a quick drive to Marigot for morning croissants or a gourmet lunch, about half an hour to Philipsburg for shopping, five minutes to Maho Beach or a five minute walk to Mullet Bay beach. Porto Cupecoy with its lovely restaurants and grocery is a five minute drive as is Blue Mall. The Cliff has its own private beach as well. Its size varies with the currents but the cliffs are beautiful and there is a large cave in the cliff if shade is more to your liking. All-in-all I feel very fortunate to have been able to experience this place in the way that we did. When we return to St. Maarten, we will definitely be staying at Chez SoColisa.

We stayed 10 days at SoColisa condo last July and we had a wonderful time. It’s a beautiful luxury condo located right beside the sea with all facilities. We were a family of 3, including our 14 year old daughter. This condo offers very comfortable beds and all we needed to enjoy the place, whether cooking or just relaxing on the terrace. We ate in only 3 times because there are many good restaurants a walking distance from there. We have tried many of them and enjoyed them. Fred, the owner came on the first day to welcome us with a bottle of wine. He was there to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay on the Island. This rental comes with a brand new Suzuki car which is a must to visit the Island. This condo is ideally located in Cupecoy either for visiting or enjoying beaches on both Dutch and French sides. It was our 7th visit on the Island and first stay at SoColisa and I can’t wait to go back to this condo. Don’t look for another place, this is the place to stay !

This place is a modern, beautifully decorated , spacious condo located in Cupecoy! The pictures of the condo are 100% accurate and do not do any justice to the actual views which are simply stunning!!! It has 2 balconies with unobstructed views of the front of the building (entrance to the gated property) and the back (ocean view). The highlights of the property are the WiFi, a cell phone for use, surround sound system, flat screen TVs, fully equipped kitchen, tennis court, pool, gym, and day spa. Cannot say enough about the location!!! Location is everything as they say and this condo is in the perfect spot! Located on the Dutch side of the island but easily accessible to the French side, Airport is 10 minuets away, Maho (restaurants, shops, bars, Casino Royale) is 5 minuets away, Atlantic Casino & Temptation Restaurant (one of our favorite spots for dinner) are walking distance across the street, The Blue Mall & a grocery store is 2 minuets away, the Mullet Bay Golf Course (and Mullet Bay Beach) is 3 minuets away. The cherry on top? The condo comes with an available rental car (Unheard of!! Great amenity!!) for use so feel free to explore the island! We did and we fell in love with Pinel Island (accessible by ferry $10 RT). St. Maarten is a great island to visit because it can be relaxing, while still being entertaining. If you are not a 'beach person' for example, there is still a ton of other activities to do on this particular island. There are a lot of options in terms of entertainment. All-in-all a must stay! The owner of this condo is incredibly accommodating! We had a fantastic time in St. Maarten! A beautiful island with friendly people. You will definitely enjoy yourself!

Had the best birthday to date. It was a amazing with a group of my closest friends. The hospitality from the owner, the level of comfort provided from everyone from the front desk staff, to the housekeeper, and other guests. Every need was met. The car & provided cell phone was a blessing. We were able to drive and experience other parts if the island and had a phone that worked - if needed (w/o having to incur expensive charges on our own phones). 5 stars x 1 million!

This unit was so beautiful and convenient! I absolutely loved the views and all the amenities were top notch! I wish I could purchase this unit for myself. The rooms were great sizes the bathrooms were spacious as well! The entire condo was modernized and fully equipped! You can tell the owner paid attention to detail. The view was breathtaking smh if only I could buy that unit! This is a MUST see and MUST visit. I definitely have to go back and stay here again!

I have visited St marteen once before on a cruise which was just a teaser to this absolutely breathtaking island. I got a chance to spend this extended vacation with a group of girlfriends in the beautiful Socolisa condo. From the uninterrupted view of the ocean to the comfortable beds to the state of the art surround sound system to the convenient location this place was everything a girl on vacation could've asked for!! Although I was on vacay, I found time to hit the gym which was fully equipped and offered an ocean and pool view. I can't to go back to St marteen and stay at Socolisa once again!

I recently stayed at Chez SoColisa for 5 nights during my first trip to the island. I could not have not have stayed at a better property. The rooms are spacious, the furniture and appliances are modern and the view is breathtaking. Additionally, having access to the many amenities made myself and company feel so comfortable. We were impressed with the gym, the indoor pool and tennis court. It was especially helpful that the property is located in a prime location, where we had access to many great restaurants, shopping centers, grocery stories and a casino. Although we had access to a car, we would simply walk two minutes down the road for agreat dinner. The area was safe, and allowed us to enjoy dining out after dark. The owner, Fred is awesome. He was so helpful and kind to myself and guests. He always made himself available, and even checked on us periodically to offer any assistance we needed. I would not only stay here again, but I would suggest this location to anyone who is interested in visiting the island!
