It’s hard to summarize such an incredible trip in a few words. From the moment we booked this home, Melanie was available to answer questions and book experiences. When we arrived, the home and grounds were more than we could have hoped for. The rooms were spacious and clean with large comfy beds, bathrooms, and direct outside access. The backyard was perfect for our family- beautiful pool, sand area for the kids to play in, and walls all around so it was easy to keep track of the kids. The beach was right outside the backyard and the attentive staff made sure the beach was always seaweed free for us to enjoy. But what really made this trip special was chef Jorge. His food was creative, authentic and absolutely delicious and he paid attention to what our family enjoyed and made sure to stock up accordingly when he went the grocery store. Finally, we took advantage of massages on the rooftop and a tequila tasting on the patio- both were perfect. We aren’t huge tequila drinkers but the experience was so fun and we learned so much! We were spoiled on this trip and I cannot recommend it enough to any group looking for a getaway with the perfect mix of privacy and attention.

Fabulous from start to finish~Perfect For families and groups with plenty of room to spread out!

We had our whole family go to playa sol y Luna. There were 21 of us ranging from 70 to 7 and we had the best time. The house had so much room for everyone, was so clean and and well kept. The staff was amazing and so helpful and kind. So thankful for all of them- Melanie was super easy to get ahold of too if we needed anything. Pedro and alba were also close by if we needed anything or had any questions. The beach was beautiful and the water crystal clear even during seaweed season in playa. So many fun things to do we changed plans to have more days there. We were so happy with our trip we are wanting to come back again next year.

This home was perfect for our trip. The house was clean every day and the food was amazing. It was like having our own resort with all the perks. Close to the airport and easy to get too! We will defiantly be back!

SolyLuna is a clean, spacious property that is superbly managed and staffed. My wife and I hosted 22 children, spouses and grandchildren there for a week and retained the chefs for 3 meals a day. The house was thoroughly cleaned daily. The food was superb and the people who work there are gracious and kind. We felt like guests in a 5 star hotel all our own for a week.

Where do I begin? This was an absolute magical vacation. There was a total of 15 of us, ranging from age 70 to 5, Villa Sol Y Luna provided the most magical vacation ever for all of us. From Melanie‘s coordination and concierge service to Ismail, Norma and Rudolfo’s amazing chef service and hospitality, made this trip absolutely amazing. The daily cleaners and groundskeeper, Pedro made this feel like a true private resort. We opted to go with their recommended menu and hired chef service for all three meals for the seven days, not once was it less than perfect for us. All of the wives of the group were so rested and relaxed from not having to shop, do dishes, plan meals and cook! Between the pool table, basketball hoop, swimming pool, ping-pong table, cornhole, oh and not to mention the beach, there was a place for everyone. The beds, bedding and room layout were perfect. Truly magical, thank you SolyLuna!

Sol y Luna was the perfect place to celebrate my husband's 75th birthday get-together! We had 4 children and spouses, 6 grandkids (ages 18 months to 8 years old) and 2 nannies joining us at this very special house. We stayed in the main house and there was plenty of room for all. The manager (Melanie) and the staff (Alba, Luis, Josefina and Pedro) were such lovely and helpful people, can't say enough about them. The pool and beach were great (although we did have a bit of sargassum) but still had the best time. Very important: we had Chef Ismael (and Norma and helper) prepare our brunch and dinners each day and the food was excellent! All 16 of us loved the food and not having to go shopping and cleaning up after. Chef Ismael was so accommodating, (as was Melanie) so if you are reading this, a big Thank You from all of us!!!! Our family had a great time having family time and relaxing at the Villa Sol y Luna. The house was perfect for our needs. The staff were practically invisible but did a fantastic job. We took advantage of the chef and his crew. The food at every meal was beyond our expectations. Everyone in our group had something they liked and we never left a meal hungry. The Covid testing to return home was easy & simple. It was great to have the doctor come to us the day before our flights home to test us. The whole group had a great time and we all wanted to stay and enjoy the Caribbean beach & weather a little longer. Thank you for a great week.

The villa was beautiful and clean and the staff and property manager were incredibly gracious. We would love to vacation here in the future.

We were a group of 19...ages 5-55. The home was a perfect fit for both privacy -each bedroom w/ it’s own bath (comfortable beds)and great areas for gatherings and meals! The verandas (one on each level) were spectacular for sunrises and the rooftop lounge for sunsets! Pool was great. Beach was perfect...more than enough chairs, umbrellas etc. Don Pedro & his dog Coco were delightful as were the housekeepers! Don’t hesitate for a minute about hiring the chef and crew...they were spectacular! The food was authentic and delicious. Not one of the 19 were disappointed. Their service was spot on and flexible! They were super helpful with getting groceries and beverages for us daily! Chef Ishmael , Rodolfo and Genero were so very helpful and gracious...having them prepare our meals made it a true vacation! We loved the family of crocodiles next door and we enjoyed massages on the rooftop! Melanie the manager was extremely helpful! We had no issues whatsoever! Our only regret, was leaving! Each one of us would go back and stay at Villa Sol y Luna in a heartbeat!

I was there with my 3 kids and theirs families : 7 adults & 9 kids (between 2 and 9). Everything was perfect and everyone was efficient: Ismael the chef and his team, Alba and the other lady for the cleaning and Pedro for the pool and the beach. I wish I will be able to come back

I wish I’d written immediately after our stay so it was fresh in my memory. We were eight adults and seven grandchildren in the house was perfect. There was plenty of room for everyone the food was absolutely fabulous, the pool, the beach, the grounds, and the staff were absolutely perfect. We had the chef service’s for brunch and dinner every day; finally a true holiday for everyone (especially those that usually have to cook). My only regret is that I dip not speak Spanish as I would have loved to have spoken in more detail to those that took such wonderful care of us all. Do not have any hesitations about booking this gorgeous and special home.

I was a little concerned that the villa was to good to be true, but I am happy to say that our vacation was everything we hoped for and more!!! I honestly can't say enough good things about the Villa and the accommodating staff. Even the most picky members of our group had nothing to complain about! --Melanie, the manager, responded promptly and graciously to our questions before we arrived. She arranged our rides to and from the airport and also for two day trips. She also set up our massage appts. (Excellent Massage Therapists at a very reasonable price!) During our stay she was only a text away! --Chef Ishmael, his wife Norma and Rodolfo, were totally amazing, accommodating and, in the opinion of the finance members of our family, hiring them was the best decision we made! Since there were so many of us...17 in total…going out to eat would have been a logistical nightmare and incredibly expensive! Norma makes the best guacamole EVER and the French Toast was so good...we had it twice! We gave the chef free rein and he never failed...everything was delicious and authentically Mexican which we asked for. The fruit arrangements he made were delightful and delicious including 2 different Christmas trees and a Snowman! He also stocked the downstairs refrigerator with the beer, wine and sodas we asked for in advance. Don Pedro was wonderful and the children loved Coco, his dog, who followed him everywhere. He recognized our need for more life vests and provided them before we could even ask! He keeps the property in pristine condition. --The cleaning staff, Ioida and Alba had a difficult task but did an amazing job cleaning around all the "stuff" we brought with us. I especially liked the organics recycling available!--Our family commented that even though the staff and chef were around it never felt intrusive or awkward. Lots of beds and bathrooms to accommodate everyone! There are so many things to do that we were never bored...kayaking, boogie boards, swimming pool, beautiful sandy beach with very few people on it...just a few walkers, hammocks, bean toss, ping pong, and a tidal pool to explore just a short walk down the beach. Wi-fi was available for the little time we were on our "electronics"! This was the perfect vacation spot for our family and everyone is asking grandpa if we can do it again! Soon!

We had 16 family members stay for a week and the cleaners, property maintenance, property manager, chef and staff were fantastic. Many games to play that kept the kids busy when not in the pool or on the beach and everyone is very pleasant to talk to.

This house has it all. The house was large, very spacious. There were 19 of us and we did not feel cramped in any room. The rooms are large, air-conditioned and very clean. The bedding's, towels and amenities were perfect for this trip. It is nestled between a few resorts but the property is very private and the beach was super clean with fun water amenities (kayaks, body boards and snorkel gear). The hammocks were super relaxing and dreamy to lie in all day! Melanie could not have been more nice and more accommodating. She even coordinated our ground transportation, excursions and local spots. Joel that lives on the property was our hero. He was always checking in with us, running for ice, moving stuff, he even climbed up and grabbed us fresh coconuts from the tree to drink and eat! He would call us out to the beach at night to help the baby turtles into the ocean which was a highlight for 3 nights of our trip! Our rooms and the house was cleaned daily by staff which were so nice. The kitchen was stocked for a cookers dream and we would definitely rent this house again for our next yoga retreat. The roof top was our yoga sessions and the view, breeze and sound of the ocean was seriously perfect. Staying at a rental house instead of a resort allows us to have more options for our guests. This house and staff were incredible! We would definitely book this house again.

The entire staff really friendly! The chef has great buffet style meal and cooks “anything you want”. They are also flexible with all the eating times to fit your needs. Price was really fair. They will bring receipts for everything they shopped for. We had 15 in our group everyone loved it. Would rent this property again!

We had a group of 15 (12-80 yrs old) and had a great vacation! The villa was just as described and to our expectations. It is secluded and in a protected area, so we didn't see many other people. Melanie was great to work with planning excursions/transportation and responded quickly when we had any problems. We even had to call for a doctor, but it was less than an hour by the time we contacted Melanie to the time the doctor was at the villa. Everything was taken care of quickly! We also elected to have Chef Ismael and his assistants cook all of our meals. Every meal was delicious and they made accommodations for us when necessary. We had one meal outside of the villa and most everyone ended up getting sick, so having home cooked meals is necessary! I would definitely recommend staying here!

The house was gorgeous, very big and open with lots of sun light. Clean and well kept. The staff, chefs were top notch, spoiled us. They even gave us fresh coconut water from their palm trees. The water was breathtaking, turquoise and warm. I can’t wait to go back next year! We are truly impressed and highly recommend this place for any occasion, from weddings to family reunions to simply a relaxing vacation.

A very large Villa with 7 bedrooms and 7 baths. A separate pool room; an outdoor swimming pool and beach front with volleyball net on premises!!!! Need I say more? Chef Ismael and staff were over the top accommodating and we just said, “ surprise us with menu”👍�. He never disappointed🤗�. Melanie set up anything we needed to do for yours, rides or just communicating. She was always available and gracious. We’d definitely recommend Villa Sol Y Luna!

Truly, we were blown away by Villa Sol y Luna and it’s remarkable staff!!! It’s the perfect location, right on a private beach between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. The manager, Melanie, patiently worked with me for months to plan this surprise 30th Birthday vacation for my husband. She seemed just as excited about everything as I did, which showed her passion to make guests happy. By the time we arrived, I felt as though she was a good friend I hadn’t seen in forever. The Villa comes with full services staff, who always kept the place in top shape. They were extremely friendly and essentially part of our family. One of the best things we did was hire Chef Ismael and his crew for a couple of dinners. I wish we would have hired him for every meal!! AMAZING food!!! We actually ended up canceling a couple excursions because we didn’t want to leave the villa. It was everything we needed for our beach vacation. While there was some seaweed that washed up (that time of year), Don Pedro was out every morning with his dog, Coco, cleaning it up. There is simply not one negative exerpeince from our stay at the villa. It was all perfect!!!

Work can build an awful amount of stress. My job isn't exempt from that. I forgot ALL my stress, though, when I stayed at the Villa. The staff was warm and the pool was cool. It has a private beach and hammocks that served me well for hours. If you wish to really get away and unplug from the daily grind, stay at the Villa Sol y Luna. You won't regret. And, you'll start planning the return.

A friends group of 20 of us had a great experience over Labor Day weekend. The main house had enough space for all of us, and we never felt the need to use the secondary house (even though we reserved it just to be safe). Chef Ismael and his team outdid themselves every meal, and the house manager Melanie was very helpful in coordinating our arrival and departure transportation, and even a last minute group trip to nearby cenotes. Our group is already trying to figure out when we can go back. 10/10 would recommend.

Villa Sol Y Luna served as my wedding venue and housed 24 members of my family for the celebrations. The villa itself has 10 bedrooms including a 3 bedroom cottage in the back. The ground floor and second floor balconies, pool patio, hammocks, beach space, and rooftop provided so many options for our guests to hang out together. As mentioned, we had our Indian wedding and the venue provided multiple scenes for our events (rooftop (pre-wedding ceremony), patio by pool (henna party and reception dinner), fenced in beach area (reception dancing), and beach area (wedding ceremony). The venue held 75 guests comfortably. The entire staff at Villa Sol y Luna was amazing! They were so attentive to our guests needs and made it so relaxing for the family. Not only that, the villa manager assisted the wedding planner during our wedding and she went above and beyond - Melanie - THANK YOU! There was also the staff that brought out all the pool toys for the kids and the one staff member who got up on the trees to pull down some coconuts for some fresh coconut water for our guests! Last, this villa is on a secluded beach - Playa del Secreto. It is such a quiet and beautiful beach without all of the tourists. Overall, this villa is a hidden gem on a secluded beach in Rivieria Maya. I highly recommend this villa to anyone who is on the fence about renting it. DO IT!

Our extend family celebrated several special birthdays for a week at this wonderful Villa. We were so excited to have ample space for 10 of us ages 11-80. The villa is truly as pictured, beautifully situated with wonderful outdoor spaces, porches and pool decks. Indoor living spaces are comfortable as well. The staff is outstanding. Alba and Loida keep the indoors immaculate. Don Pedro and Matteo are constantly clearing up outside. Don Pedro brought our grand kids extra boggie boards, life jackets and pulled coconuts from trees for them. Our biggest treat was meals made by Ishmael, Norma and Luisa. They were fresh, so flavorful and incredibly flavorful! Every day was a treat for everyone of us. The trip was special and made more so by having use of the villa.

I group of 12 friends stayed at Villa Sol y Luna for the first time. It was an incredible experience. The villa and grounds were beautiful. There was enough choices of activities and enough space to suit all of us. We were able to spend time on the beach, boogie board, kayak or just lounge in the hammocks. The food was awesome. Ismael and his crew created fantastic meals from fresh foods and there was not one thing that I didn't enjoy. We enjoyed the fresh coconuts that Pedro cut down for us and the cleaning and grounds crew kept the place neat and clean. We are already planning on returning next year!!

Where do we begin? The experience we had at your villa last week felt surreal. It truly felt like a paradise. The house was unreal. It was so beautiful and we felt extemely comfortable and welcome there. The staff was dynamic. Ishmael and Fernando were in a league of their own. We would truly recommend to any visitor, that they hire them. It definitely changes the whole experience. We loved everything they made. They even prepared exactly what we wanted for Thanksgiving. This meal was extra special. The detail and the time they spent preparing all the meals was incredible. Then on top of it all, everything tasted amazing! They cleaned everything and that was such an added bonus! We had 25 people who were extremely comfortable sleeping in the villa and guest house. We loved all eating together on the beautiful veranda. There was space for everyone. The kids loved the crocodile and it was fun watching Pedro feed him. Speaking of Pedro, he was the sweetest guy and worked so hard. The night of Randy's party, he made the most amazing bonfire. He brought all these chairs for us to sit on and we felt so relaxed. He was always cleaning the grounds and the pool. We loved hanging out on the beach. The hammocks and the area they were in was so beautiful. It was private and so clean. The beach you are on is definitely the nicest beach on the whole stretch. It is clean and is maintained beautifully. The kids loved going out on the big inflatable boat and other family members enjoyed going kayaking. It was so nice that you had umbrellas on the beach and lots of chairs. One day we took the kids jetskiing and Parasailing. It was nice because that was only a few beaches over. The pool was great(a little chilly) but the kids didn't seem to feel the cold. It was so nice that you had life jackets and so many pool toys and infkatables. That made it even more fun for the kids. Norberto set up some great things for us that we wanted. We all went into Playa for the afternoon which is always so much fun, he set up for several people to come over to give us massages and braid the girls hair, and coordinated Randy's 40th fiesta with a vinyl banner, a piñata, a basketball cake and bonfire. The experience we had at Villa Sol Luna is one we will never forget! The memories we created there will last a lifetime! We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
