The location was ideal for us. It was an easy drive to Kahuku and Haleiwa for lots of restaurant/food truck options. Only a 15 minute drive to Foodland groceries in Pupukea. We ventured to the windward side as well as Ka'aena State park and felt the condo was perfectly located.

We enjoyed the location and views. Absolutely beautiful. The owners provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner Brian was easy to work with and responded timely. We look forward to our next stay.

This condo has everything you need for a comfortable stay on the North Shore. Brian is an excellent host. When we needed the lights fixed he responded right away. The condo is near beautiful beaches, nice hikes and good eating places. Every night we watched the sunset from Turtle Bay. It is truly a hidden gem.

The condo was cute and in good condition and very well stocked. Many good surprises I wouldn't have expected to be supplied with. The condo was in one of the best locations in the entire property - it was like a treehouse tucked in among the vegetation surrounding the golf course AND there was a peek-a-boo view of the ocean. Sunrises were beautiful! Communication with the owners was great.

Nice place, well stocked w/everything. Really appreciated the beach chairs! Comfortable bed & pillows. Instructions to pick up key in big red mailbox is wrong, it’s black. Needs a working fan in the bathroom to vent steam. The two cockroaches (under living room windows) were a surprise, since we didn’t have ann food out. Thank you for responding to our questions regarding the washer promptly.

Nice property located close to resort, ocean/beach, golf. Short drives to other attractions. Property was nice, and clean. Bathroom could use a remodel, and no exhaust fan. Enjoyed the breeze through the unit at all times of day.

Stayed here for our daughter’s wedding nearby. Unit is very well appointed and clean with great light and a nice view. A few minor issues but Brian, the owner, readily resolved.

Spent the last four nights of our multi-island vacation here, good location for a relaxing stop before going home.

The hosts, The Kennedys, were very responsive and provided great directions in order to check in and find the beautiful condo. We loved every part of our visit at Honu Kai Hideaway. It was classy, coastal and comfortable. We got to access restaurants, beaches and excursions through Turtle Bay Resort while resting comfortably in a quiet home. Highlights, just a short walk form Honu Kai, were: Sea Turtles, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, running trails and sun! A true paradise. Our first trip to Hawaii was perfect because of Honu Kai.

HONU KAI HIDEAWAY provided a beautiful view of the golf course, flowers and flora along with the Ocean. We so enjoyed enjoying mornings and evenings on the deck! It was spotless upon arrival, well stocked, and spot on as to the description and photos on VRBO. The hosts were excellent in communication and going out of their way to accomodate a special request of ours due to a wedding. If we are able to return to the beautiful island of Hawaii we would like to return to this HIDEAWAY!

Great location in Turtle Bay Resort area near amazing beaches and restaurants. Washer and dryer in unit is great. Fully stocked kitchen. The unit is generall a bit older with some rotting wood window sills that could use renovating. The bedroom AC is also very loud. The key pick-up/drop-off process is a very minor inconvenience so just something to keep in mind when planning travel times to the airport, etc. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Honu Kai Hideaway. It was comfortable and clean. A great spot for our stay on the North Shore. We appreciated the coffee and the beach towels available to use.

We love the neighborhood and the breeze. The kitchen and unit were clean and well stocked. Brian was incredibly helpful, we hope to go back. Thank you!

We had a wonderful time staying in Hono Kai on our 12 day vacation at Turtle Bay. The condo was very well equipped, very clean, and a great location. The host, Brian, was very accommodated. We hope to stay in Hono Kai again, if available the next time we visit Turtle Bay.

This is one of those reviews you kinda don't want to write because you kinda want to keep it secret. But, it's just such a nice place in such a great location, and the owners were so quick to respond to any queries that it's just not fair to keep it secret. The bed is super comfortable, you are within walking distance to both Turtle Bay beach, and other public beaches (current might be strong depending on time of year, know your limits in the water), lots of hiking trails, there's a fine pool (depending on the time of year it could be crowded), the kitchen has everything you need, you are 15 minutes from all kinds of food trucks. Pipeline is up the street if watching surfers getting pounded is your thing. To try your own hand at surfing, there's a very good surf school right at Turtle Bay as well. Also, the golf at Turtle Bay is wonderful (not cheap mind you! but a very nice course). With the windows open you can even hear the surf in the distance at night. The owners live on the island and clearly care about the experience of their guests with very prompt responses.

We were able to walk from the condo across the golf course to the ocean, as this part of the golf course was closed. This is one of the best locations in the complex. The condo looks the same as the pictures

This condo was very clean, well appointed and located in a lovely area. I would not go to enjoy the pool area. But go for the ocean and gorgeous beaches.

Drinking our morning coffee on the veranda, with the beautiful views and just the sounds of the birds is the only way to go. Instead of a cramped hotel room with thousands of other guests, we had this. Lots of room, air conditioning was wonderful. Whatever they say you need it in Oahu.That is the way to spend a vacation. We had the pool to ourselves. Minutes from Turtle Bay. All the best beaches close by, hiking, great food. This is our second stay in the Turtle Bay area. No place else.

This condo was exactly as listed! My husband and I had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The condo has a great location within the resort. It had a super comfortable bed, beach chairs that we were able to borrow and a relaxing lanai overlooking the golf course. We are already planning to book this condo again next year.

We really enjoyed this property. It was well put together with everything we needed and then some. The bed was super comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped. Even sharp knives!! We appreciated the vintage Hawaiian vibe the Kennedy’s curated. Breezes flowed from front to back keeping the space fresh and cool. Although we did take advantage of th a/c to sleep at night, so that was a bonus. Nice job Kennedy’s and thank you.

I really enjoyed this condo as it was conveniently located for getting to all the beautiful beaches and downtown Haleiwa. Awesome view of golf course and view to ocean. Also enjoyed the short walk to Turtle Bay Resort hotel and the beach there along with the pool side bar. Very pleased! Thanks Rodney

The location was perfect for golf, nearby food trucks, Kahuku Farms (try their banana bread, it's delicious), and a very short walk to the beach. Unfortunately the next door neighbors were loud (crying baby and screaming kid), but the owners can't control who the neighbors are. Most of our time was spent away from the condo anyway, except for the first day waiting for the airline to deliver a mishandled bag. The air conditioning in the condo worked great!

It was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable, well-stocked and beautiful. You can eat at the table while looking at the ocean. The balcony is a plus... We loved our stay in this unit!

This is our second visit to this property and it didn’t disappoint. The grounds are beautiful, the hotel is a gorgeous place to enjoy coffee while watching the surfers and the sunsets are breathtaking. Very responsive owners. Lovely place, bright and airy, golf course and ocean views. Wonderful walking trails + close to great beaches and restaurants. Be sure to go outside and look up—best star show ever!
