Thanks!

The magical Barn on the Pond was a great location for a family reunion esp with the cottage and airstream options for sleeping. The area is gorgeous, the pool was warm and relaxing, the firepit was a hit with everyone (but use bug spray). There is a huge lawn for running around with kids, lots of towels, a hot tub off the porch, a well stocked kitchen, tons of games. For some, sleeping in the loft area might require ear plugs and eye masks as it is not darkened and open to the kitchen and living room. We had a lovely time!

What an incredible vacation rental experience!! Barn on the Pond exceeded all our expectations and made our family gathering/getaway unforgettable. The location is perfectly nestled away in a private, serene, natural area of Saugerties and yet conveniently located 15 minutes from Kingston where you can get anything you need. Inside the house, the interior is tastefully decorated striking a perfect balance between modern conveniences and rustic charm…and the large open kitchen is stocked with everything you could need. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the huge yard allowed for outdoor fun. The fire pit was perfect for evening s’mores after a day in what looks like a brand new in-ground pool. Overall, this rental is the perfect place for a vacation and I’m certain we will be returning next year if not sooner!!

Wonderful Catskill vacation with our children and their families. Very unusual home and lovely outdoor surroundings. The heated pool and hot tub were the favorites of everyone.

We definitely recommend you book this place. We stayed for about a week and wish we had more time. The well appointed house and property are even nicer than the photos. It has everything you need. Every bedroom, the cottage and airstream are comfortable and quiet (sleeping in the loft was great as long as people aren’t super noisy in the morning— kids slept until 10:00 in the loft and loved it 🙂). We loved it all: heated pool, hot tub, expansive dining area, kitchen, sizable fire pit, grill, games, music (including watching the kids figure out the record player). The owner was quick to reply when we had questions. Honestly was the nicest and easiest owner I’ve ever rented from. We did some things in the area but you really don’t need to leave the picturesque property. Woodstock, rail trail, hiking, a Hudson River school painter home, Opus 40 (interesting to see since it’s so close by but it was a quick visit for us). Anyway, think about all the things you want to do on vacation and book this place. You will love it. Great for a group of friends or family. Book it!

Wow what a memorable experience! I’ll never forget this birthday. I instantly felt at home when arriving at the snow covered property. The house is so warm and welcoming, the property is large and has so many hang zones that make it easy for large groups to break off and do their own thing during the day and gather around the large dinner table at night. The kitchen was huge and was in constant use for all meals, and became another great communal gathering spot. Playing board games next to the fire was so much fun. The cottage was perfect for my wife, infant and I to sneak away and hve some peace away from our friends and family. It was also perfect for nap times!
Unfortunately the air stream power wasn’t working, so we weren’t able to accommodate some of our guests there. Luckily the barn is so big that we were able to provide some sleeping space for them.
Overall the experience was wonderful and I’d love to stay here again in the future

Our group of two families of 5 loved this unique home for our Friendsgiving stay! The location is great with easy access to Woodstock for fun dining. The home itself is warm and full of character, and spacious enough for the 10 of us and our dog to enjoy some space. The new hot tub was a definite hit, and sitting by the cozy fireplace in the comfy couches enjoying board games was great!
Loved the spacious kitchen and counter space to cook meals for a large group, we had everything we needed!

We really enjoyed the size of the great room and the ability to seat so many people around the table for dinner! The pool is a great addition and really made the house for us. It is a dog friendly house and very comfortable. Kevin was responsive to my questions about the house and we appreciated him opening his unique house to my family. We got to hike, visit Opus40, the Lighthouse in Saugerties and of course Woodstock for shopping.

Great house for our reunion. We had 10 adults and 2 children. Easy access to hiking and bike riding. The pool was great.

We had 8 adults and three children and this barn was the most amazing property. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep, eat and roam the grounds and pool! It was immaculately clean and had everything you would need. Plenty of towels, dishes, wine glasses, paper towels and linens. We enjoyed the quick ride to grocery stores, downtown Woodstock and golf courses but we didn’t want to leave the property much!

A beautiful barn in the countryside. But not too far from quaint towns for in town activities.

First trip to the Woodstock area and very pleased I booked the Barn - it begs for having a great fall weekend. We were able to place a couple of the group in the newly renovated cottage which helped provide everyone with some sleeping space. This is the best place for a long weekend with friends or family.

We spent a week in beautiful upstate New York and were very excited to get a chance to stay at the Barn on the Pond. The property is super unique and quite pretty - had a ton of amenities and things to do around the house, and is very well situated for outdoor exploring / hiking / apple picking. The property owner, Kevin, was VERY responsive to our questions, and helpful in addressing any issues, which was great! My one "complaint," if you can call it that, is that there are some elements of the property that are a bit run down and it is overall in need of some TLC and deep cleaning of outside areas. But I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others!

An amazing place. Very fun, different and cozy. The pool was excellent. It’s not often you find listings that clearly were built and maintained with passion.

Stop looking at other places and BOOK the Barn on the Pond! We had an absolutely WONDERFUL time. It's everything described and more; the kind of space you step into, immediately take a deep breath, and just relax. It is particularly well designed for large groups to spend time together, which is a very hard find! There were 13 of us together to celebrate my Mom's 70th birthday and it was somehow miraculously designed for all of us -age 3 to 73. The interior decor is incredible, the kitchen fully stocked with appliances to make cooking in a breeze, and the couches, deep, soft, and sink-into-for-the-entire-night comfortable. And the process of reserving, paying, and staying was incredibly professional, to boot. Book it; you won't regret it!

Tripp was beyond helpful in the planning stages of our weekend away. The "barn" is something out of a magazine! It's a hybrid between luxury and comfort. The homeowners have forgotten nothing! A tooth brush and some clothing and you are set!
The home is located only minutes away from picturesque Woodstock, but we loved the home so much we only ventured out for a few hours - excited to get back to the coziness and beauty the barn offers!
By the end of our girls weekend- we were talking about renting it again in the summer time!

I spent a weekend at Barn on the Pond with 15 friends for my bachelorette weekend. The common space is beautiful and is perfect for large groups, and the kitchen/bathrooms/bedrooms have absolutely everything you need from cookware to extra sheets and towels. The wraparound porch on the 2nd floor is incredible, and the outdoor fire pit was perfect for our group. We had a few sleeping in the trailer which was extremely comfortable as well. We had an amazing weekend and I'd recommend the house to anyone!

We were all thrilled that the house was exactly as advertised. I feel like that rarely happens! We had such a great stay and the hosts were so helpful and responsive to any questions/concerns we had! My ONLY complaint would be that we had a lot of flies!

Barn on the Pond is one of the most unique and special dwellings I've ever experienced. No detail is spared. The house comes LOADED with everything you need like high tech gadget stuff, way to hook my phone into Apple TV, easy access internet, and that KITCHEN is to die for. The tub downstairs is amazing, and the view out to the trees, mountain and pond is priceless. I spent hours swinging in that outdoor floating air bed watching the clouds go by. Don't forget the marshmallows, the firepit is outrageously awesome and if you pre-order wood you'll be set to burn it up all weekend long. Tripp is a fabulous host, so hospitable and his staff were all so friendly and quick to answer questions. If you're heading upstate, and you can find an available weekend, stay at Barn on the Pond. Can't wait til our next visit.

Had an amazing stay! Wanted to get away with my cast and crew of our production company.
The house was GORGEOUS and the property nice and private despite close neighbors. Favorite part was the air stream trailer. So cool! Will definitely be booking here again for future after events.
Thanks for a great stay!

Barn on The Pond is the perfect weekend escape, vacation destination for relaxation, and beautiful venue for a variety of events.
We were lucky enough to stay for a beautiful week in October at the peak of the leaves changing in beautiful weather. The minute we stepped into the home, we were immediately in vacation mode-- it's hard not to be with its serene property, beautiful high open ceilings and a welcoming decor. The kitchen was made for entertaining, whether that's hosting a holiday for family, pepping for an event, or simply cooking dinner for 2 or 12. The bedrooms are all warm and inviting and to sit by the fire-- either inside in the living room listening to records or outside upstairs, cozied up looking out into the mountains with a drink-- is heaven.
There's a beautiful fire pit that we sat with friends around with a beer to catch up and roast some s'mores and the airbed (basically an XL hammock) is the ideal way to lose track of time staring at the sky.
To look out of our windows or sit on the upper back porch with coffee looking out at the pond and the background of trees and mountains was perfect.
Every amenity was thoughtfully in place. Tripp and his team have thought of everything and go out of their way to make sure your trip is comfortable, enjoyable and memorable.
We were a group of 11 + a our dog and had the best time, even hosting our annual pumpkin beer tasting. There's no lesser accommodations though, even the airstream (about 100 feet from the house) was roomy, funky and fun to stay in.
This is a wonderful hidden gem and we look forward to coming back in the future.

We had the barn for a long weekend with friends - it has a stunning view of Overlook mountain and easy drive to hikes and waterfalls nearby. The barn had all modern amenities, a great open kitchen plus wireless music speakers that can ported to every room. The upper decks and fire pit are great places to hangout at night for stargazing and there is a fun airstream too. It was a great place to be near nature and yet have the luxuries of comfort within reach...

Our time here was AMAZING!!!! Highest marks all around. A beautiful barn and a perfect setting for a birthday weekend with great friends. Huge and room for all, the massive main area was a perfect setting for an extended weekend of hanging out by the fireplace, chillin with the peeps and eating great food. All of us love to cook and the giant kitchen was a star. We were there in January, a bit too cold for pond action but a great view just the same. Thank you for putting such love into making a great retreat. Can't wait to make our way back.

Barn on the Pond is absolutely beautiful!!! We had such an amazing time while staying there. The open layout is perfect and the kitchen, WOW WOW WOW, I dream of having a kitchen like this to cook in all the time. There's an awesome soaking tub!
The fireplaces and heated floors kept us nice and toasty. The pond and the grounds are stunning and the house is private. I look forward to returning to Barn on the Pond and would highly recommend it to everyone.

The first time I stayed at this property, I thought that I could never recreate the amazing time spent there. Now I have stayed here three times, and am consistently blown away by the atmosphere of this home. There is so much attention to detail that with every turn, you are delighted by yet another charming or gorgeous thing. Anyone you invite here will feel the same. It's difficult to find a space that is as unique and beautiful as this one. It is at once both luxurious and comfortable.
Whether you're planning an event, or sneaking away for a personal escape, the space is very accommodating to whatever your plans may be. Times spent at the beautiful sunken fire pit are sure to be remembered.. As are the meals cooked and shared in this dream kitchen. Thirty foot peaked ceilings in the main room of this house give the sensation of endless space. Take a walk through the wild flower garden. Spend some time in the round extra-large hammock. Or simply enjoy the view of sloping mountains from the wrap around balcony. If it's chilly, don't fret, just sit by the outdoor fireplace up there (it turns on with the flick of a light switch). Also, there is a surplus of comfortable sleeping arrangements throughout the house. In the summer the barn is airy and cool, and in the winter perfectly toasty and warm (the heated floors are a great touch).
The property has all those modern amenities that we might not want to get away from including: speedy internet, an amazing sound system, a huge television with cable and a DVD player, plus the ability to hook up computers/iphones etc. to just about everything. You'll be happy with the set up.
While there isn't much reason to leave the grounds, Woodstock is a 5 minute drive down the road. There you can stock up on farmer fresh produce and meats, or enjoy a meal at one of the many wonderful local restaurants. There is a great little flea market on weekends. If you are a nature lover, there is river tubing and hiking available nearby. Opus 40, one of the largest Earth work sculpture gardens, is around the block and worth a visit.
Each time I have stayed here, the house and grounds have been in impecable condition. The house is always tidied, and with beautiful presentation.
I hope you will get a chance to make some memories here. I truly treasure mine.

Spent a weekend with friends at a beautiful place in Woodstock, NY. It's so easy to get to from the city; the house is massive and beautiful. The design details are impeccable but cozy...it feels like home. The kitchen (with a 6 burner stove, and 2 dishwashers) is so great for a large crowd to cook in. Also, the layout of the house is open (great for groups), with the kitchen open to the dining room and main room. The property itself is enough reason to stay at this lovely hideaway. We woke up in the morning to a Winter Wonderland of snow...beautiful. There is a walkway around the pond, an Airstream trailer to check out, also a hanging teepee hiding out in the woods.
Thanks for creating such special environment for people to getaway! Love it!

Everything to recommend - our group had an amazing experience inside this unique property and enjoyed the beauty of the grounds and surrounding area to boot. Owner very helpful and charming when it came to trip preparations. A visit to nearby Opus 40 is highly recommended as well.
