Condo was great! Loved the location being at the South end of the island. It was quit and beautiful. Roger the grounds keeper was very helpful and knew a guy for everything. Golf cart was delivered. The complimentary taxi ride to and from was a great bonus. We will be back again.

The property is well maintained and the condo was clean, comfortable and had all kitchen tools and then some to cook dinner. Loved walking out to the end of the dock every morning at 5:30 to watch the sun rise…very peaceful way to start our day!

we had a great time. roger who was the on site manager could not have been more helpful with every request. the only problem was no hot water in master shower, but we had hot in second shower. location is quiet which is what we were going for. a golf cart was delivered for exploring. had a great time

Located on the beach with a nice pool and access to a couple really good restaurants. A bit out of town so you need a golf cart but a spacious property. Great management company.

Property is South and tucked away past the traffic. Nice condo with only 8 units - therefore not crowded for the pool and great pier. Groundskeeper keeps beach in excellent condition. Very quiet and relaxing - our 3rd time staying here and will return.

It’s about a 10-15 minute golf cart ride into town but close to some great roadside stands. It’s a Nice quiet place with private beach, pool and dock. Fantastic communication both on app and via email with property manager. Free transportation to and from water taxi. Inside temp never got below 77 degrees Fahrenheit. We couldn't sleep in the heat and were told there was nothing that could be done. Wouldn't have rented this place if we'd known. Otherwise, the space was fantastic.

Unit setting is lovely in a small complex south of San Pedro. It’s perfect for a couple looking for a laid back, quiet escape. The small pool was adequate for us - we’re seniors. The condo was equiped with full kitchen and plenty of towels and beach towels. However, the king bed, couch and living area chairs are in need of upgrading. A word of warning - if renting a golf cart, take it slow the first time out. The roads are filled with speed bumps, culverts and lots of bone jarring bumps. Once you know where they are, it’s not so bad.

The property was perfect! We relaxed, fished and snorkeling off of the pier. The man-made reef about 15 yards away had a small green eel, barracuda, conch, codfish and other small beautiful fish. Two lion fish under the dock. The place Is close to everything and easy to get to. Roger was a great help and always there when we needed him. San Pedro is getting better all the time! We'll be back!

As a family of 4 (2 teenagers) we wanted to spend part of the holiday in a beautiful warm place with the opportunity to experience a new culture and we could not have chosen a better location. The owners were responsive of questions prior to our reservation and could not have been more helpful. When we arrived, the management company sent a taxi driver who made sure we are settled. The accommodations were clean as just as described in the description. The owners have decorated the condo with authentic pieces making it even more special. The condo offers a large open space that leads to a beautiful terrace. The bedrooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. The owners provide beach towels and plenty of bathroom towels , sheets and blankets as well. The full kitchen includes the necessary plates, pots, pans and appliances including a blender, coffee maker, dishwasher, and microwave. The kitchen includes a dining table for 4 chairs and a full bar area with an additional 4 places. Outside the condo, the pool is clean and well maintained. and the beach is beautiful. Daily the staff rakes the beach and the sunrises are amazing. Guests have access to a pier that reach out into the crystal blue water - complete with a beautiful gazebo. I highly recommend staying here! A few suggestions: Buy any alcohol you want at the Belize City Duty Free Shop - it is twice as expensive on the island. Buy supplies (food) at the Super Buy. You will need a golf cart - look around there are several places to rent - look for cleaner and more maintained carts to rent. Our Favorite Places to Eat: The Baker - AMAZING French bakery with great pastries and coffee. Sandbar - Great pizza and cheap plus they deliver! Black Orchid - a bit more expensive but nice atmosphere. El Fogon - Great and very authentic food. Someplace South - Great breakfast - don't miss the banana foster French toast and fresh fruit. Blue Water Grill - You must try the fryjacks with the local pineapple jam.

At the end of the private pier, we swam with eagle rays, and watched barracuda and nurse sharks glide by. The setting was so lovely that we had to force ourselves away. And when we did head out, we enjoyed the local area a lot! We cooked in and dined out: wonderful street food (cheap) and great restaurants. Lone Star right across the street was a standout, and we enjoyed two fantastic sushi dinners (pricey). We rented the condo for one month and received excellent service from the owners. Property Management, once we were there, were not so quick with their responses. They basically left us to deal with water, toilet paper and paper towel which were supposed to be included. Not a huge issue but not what we were expecting. However the owners were willing to compensate but we didn’t take them up on it. In the original pictures there was a grill on the balcony. Unfortunately this was absent during our visit. The condo was comfortable, beautifully appointed, well equipped and the grounds were immaculate. Well done Armando! If you enjoy cooking your own meals you may want to bring your own sharp knife and sharpener. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful experience!

We were very happy in the southern part of the Island, close enough to action and far away from the congested downtown. Tranquility was clean and very spacious. The deck overlooking the ocean was perfect for morning coffee, and the kitchen was well stocked. Trish from Caye Management was very attentive and Armando, the property manager was always available and very friendly. Thank you for a great trip to San Pedro

The condo is large, beautifully decorated & we enjoyed the location. Check in & check out was very simple. Armando keeps the pool & grounds immaculate. We enjoyed some wonderful diving & snorkeling.

Our condo was clean, beautifully decorated loved the community around the condo the grounds were kept very very clean by our caretaker Armondo great with kids opened a coconut for our kids to taste. Over all our experience on the island and our condo we will be back we have already started our plans for our next vacation and staying on the same condo. I wish I could say it was as expected, but unfortunately I can’t. First off , the pictures on VRBO were taken years ago. You don’t have a view of the ocean from the lanai, as the Palms have grown up and obstruct view. Then on our first night, I get in jacuzzi Tub and it doesn’t work. Maintenance came the next day and found out it needed a new pump. So that wasn’t gonna happen within our 2 wk stay. We slept in nice Master Bedroom and awoke to the AWFUL smell of the Sargassum sea grass. It just seeped into the whole condo. I bought and burned incense daily. We had no choice but to sleep in back bedroom which stayed pretty warm. I understand the owners have no control over the seagrass but a heads up about it would have been helpful. It is a yearly occurrence, so Bruce and Brenda know it happens. Poor Armando ( who was great!) was out daily trying to clear the sargassum , pitchfork by pitchfork but there was so much it was futile. So it just rotted in the sun and smelled so bad! We only used the pool 2xs as the smell was sooo bad. The condo itself was pretty and I loved the decor! I really wish I could have been able to leave a good review but unfortunately with these occurrences I’m not able too

We rented the condo for two weeks and just returned home. Everything was perfect including location, furnishings, amenities, etc. The condo was spotlessly clean, roomy with nice furniture and lots of very nice Belizean artwork. Kitchen was well stocked, great granite countertops and dishwasher. Groundskeeper Armando is simply the sweetest man who works really hard to keep the grounds and pool in great shape. He helped us with multiple things and even washed all the dust off our golf cart in the evenings. The housekeeper came twice during our stay and cleaned thoroughly each time and even washed all our clothes that were in the hamper each time. She was very kind. Would most definitely stay here again. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet and beautifully maintained property on the south end of the island away from the noise, construction and golf cart traffic. Quick 10 minute ride into town.

Our condo was just as the pictures show and was clean. There was a nice warm pool and beautiful view of the ocean! They have a great staff and Armando the caretaker was amazing! He saw to our every need and even cleaned our golf cart daily. He can certainly come to work for us anytime!!! We would recommending staying at Casa Ixchel with all the amenenties

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. Located south of San Pedro, the location is quieter, away from most of the busyness. The condo was clean and comfortable. Armando was quick to answer questions and help in any way. Miss Angela took very good care of our laundry and tidying the unit weekly. We will gladly stay here again.

Truly the best spot on the island, quiet and away from the bustle and noise of town, but only a 10 minute golf cart ride to shopping and restaurants. Waking up each morning and having coffee on the patio, while listening to the wind rustle the giant palm trees out front was almost surreal. Snorkeling off the pier, getting drinks at the beach bar next door (Rob makes the best drinks on the island - no joke) and starting each day with the question "do I want to read a book in the sun or get in the ocean first?" Was a pretty incredible way to spend our week. We went diving with Belize Pro Divers and they came to pick us up at our pier, everything felt catered especially to our needs. Mr. Armando is the hardest working, sweetest man and helped us get a golf cart within an hour of our arrival. Any questions we had, he was always around the property, keeping it beautiful. We will recommend this property to anyone who wants to live the island life in the best way. Thank you for the welcome book and all the recommendations. It was truly one of the best vacations we have ever been on.

We would definitely stay here again. Armondo was great!! The decor was so awesome!!! Everything was perfect.

Ixchel is picturesque, comfortable, well located, well kept, and thoroughly wonderful! Four of us stayed (2 adults and our teenage kids) for a week and utterly loved it. Before we were on our departure flight the kids were talking about “when we come back….” Caye Management picked us up at San Pedro Airport (fare rolled into the unit price) so no need to be concerned about organizing a transfer yourself. Ixchel is a mile and a half south of San Pedro which was perfect for us – away from the bustle of town but bustle was easily reachable when desired. The unit is clean and up to date with local décor. Hot water is hot, the kitchen has all the essentials, and the property is beautiful and spotless. The lanai quickly became our gathering point for breakfast, reading, and otherwise hanging out. Wait til you see the master bath! Huge. We like to explore so we rented a cart for the week (Caye Mgmt arranged for me by request) and were glad we did. Armando is always around, is a very nice man (been with the property 12 years!) and even walked with me to see Yolanda over at Suya Tours to get snorkel trips organized – he just waved me to follow him, I wasn’t expecting nor did I have to ask for an escort! BTW, Suya was terrific. Yolanda hooked us right up and captain Rowan is the best! We tend toward smaller, local places rather than resorts and Ixchel was perfect. Very nice condo- well furnished & comfortable. It's far enough from town to be secluded but close enough to be there in fifteen minutes by golf cart. Would stay there again. The sea breezes on the patio were fabulous
