Loved it! Hue was an awesome and an available (online) resource. The condo is exactly as described, near the pool and equidistant to the compound's two water access points. We had a real hard time leaving, kind of hoping that winter storms in the US would strand us in Curacao for a longer stay! Kitchen has all the pans and utensils you would need for cooking in-house for a week as we did. We used the Weber charcoal grill just once and relied on the 4-burner stovetop for all else. Used toaster oven to bake small surprise birthday cake too We only turned on A/C one night when breeze through the place died. The cross-breeze with occasional supplement from ceiling fans were super comfy all other times. We relied heavily on wifi with ZERO problem. We never met property manager, though we THINK we know who he was. Other grounds crew and late-night security were super friendly. Hue's instructions on securing items and unit are probably prudent, but know that we never had concern, feeling, or worry about security on the grounds etc. We enjoyed company of some other new renters we met and some new owners of a unit, as well as some long-term repeat renters Hue introduced us to. The world is so big, but if we can get back to Curacao, Marazul is for us!

We really enjoyed our vacation at Marazul Dive Resort. Unit 5B was everything we expected and would love to stay again in the future. Hue and Carl provided an enormous amount of information that helped us in many ways. We met many other guests on the property and it was a wonderful experience! Rene, the property manager, was extremely helpful and informative. We can't wait to return to Curacao and Marazul 5B!

Our 4th trip to Curaçao and second stay in 5B. We stayed in other unit last year since our dates were not available and found 5B to be the most updated, well maintained, equipped and CLEAN. The condo has been completely renovated, beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. Very well and thoughtfully stocked with everything you would want/need (with snorkeling gear, beach chairs, cooler, towels, nice fridge, kitchen gadgets.. Very spacious and comfortable living areas open out to the patio overlooking the pool and the Caribbean Sea. The bedroom is spacious with a comfortable king size bed and a sitting area opens to the beautiful deck with amazing views of the sea and the village of Westpunt. Nice outdoor furniture on both decks. Front door has keyless entry which is a GREAT PLUS as we never had to worry about carrying the key around . It is well located, close to pool, very quiet and relaxing. The grounds of Marazul are well maintained. The pool is very clean and always plenty of chairs. The resort itself is very safe, quiet and gated. The location is perfect, easy access to some of the best beaches on the island. We can’t say enough about this unit and Hue and Carl are wonderful, very friendly, and a lovely couple to work with and responsive to all your needs. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!! AND thank you Hue for the great restaurant picks! We highly, highly recommend this home!! 😊

This property is in a great location for snorkling with very good access on-site and it is also very close to a number of West End beaches and coves. The apartment was clean and well equipped. The owners, Carl and Hue, are very responsive and provided lots of information before hand so we were well prepared for our visit. The site manager was also very helpful. There were a number of good restaurants in the area as well. Our only problem was the rather steep staircase, a difficulty for the joint challenged.

We loved our stay at All New Oceanfront with Magnificent Views of the Caribbean Sea, 5B. The home was spacious, clean and well-equipped for absolutely everything we wanted or needed. Comfortable bed and the AC in the bedroom was quiet and cooled down quickly. Hue and Carl were wonderful hosts, answering many questions. The info booklet was an invaluable guide (28 pages) and had everything we needed to plan our island vacation from history, fast facts to things to do, where to go for grocery, gas, snorkeling/diving sites, restaurants, etc. We’re early risers and began our days with breakfast on the upper terrace taking in the incredible view. Exploring the island, went to many different beaches for diving/snorkeling and some of the best snorkeling/dive right at Marazul. Coming home to breathtaking sunsets. We went to town one late afternoon and tried our luck at the Carnaval Casino in the Renaissance hotel. This was our first visit to Curaçao with lots to dos. Very easy to get around (must have a car), safe and the locals are friendly. Without a doubt we will be back next year and would certainly rent this villa again. We have stayed at many vacation rentals and this one was by far the BEST! We’d give this a PERFECT TEN!!

We had a lot of fun staying at this property. The owners are super responsive and even followed up after hurricane Florence to found out if we were ok, really appreciated it, thanks! The unit has everything that you may need. It is close to the pool, but not so close that it is a bother when people are in there. That pool was actually a godsend after a day swimming and being in the sun. The property is very nice and clean, the gardens are nice. I think the palm trees may need some TLC though. Snorkeling right from the property was very nice, especially early morning. The sunsets are spectacular. The actual condo we stayed in was nice, enough packing space for clothes, everything in the kitchen you may need, those stairs, phew . . . I had a knee replacement a few months ago and I sure got my exercise in. We never used the television. We had dinner every night upstairs on the porch and breakfast in the morning out there as well. Should we visit Curacao again, we will probably consider staying at this unit again. We went to Willemstad for an overnight trip halfway through our stay and it was actually a waste of time, Just stay on the west side of the Island. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your house.

It was everything we could have imagined and more, comfortable, breezy, clean and felt like at home immediately. Resort is very private and quite. Great customer service by Hue and Carl with all little details provided by them. Kitchen had the best equipped of any rentals we’ve ever been in (even items like vegetable peeler, cheese grater, coffee grinder, etc) owners thought of all little things. Loved loved loved the expanded bedroom, lots of room, walk-in closet with a large safe. Comfortable bed. We drove to different beaches where we did some snorkeling, saw some turtles at Playa Grandi!!! We enjoyed going to town but couldn’t wait to get “home”. We cooked most of our meals and enjoyed them in the upstairs terrace. Had a nice dinner at Shelterrock recommended by Hue. Centrum market had every we needed. We were be beyond happy! We loved our stay in Curaçao. People were very friendly, great food and wonderful culture. We really enjoyed our stay at Marazul. Clean premises all over property, Réné was awesome. Very friendly and helpful always inquiring if we were ok and if we needed anything. Beautiful views from the hillside, pool was always clean. Our unit was very clean and well kept. All equipment was new, spacious. We appreciated the owners checking in on us midway through our stay and offering us fresh linens and towels. Very much appreciated. Only thing that was a little bothersome was the smell and presence of mildew underneath kitchen counters in the cabinets. Whatever we used needed to be thoroughly cleaned before using them and when it rained the odour was stronger. Other than that we were very happy with our stay and strongly recommend it to anyone. Everything was as pictured. We had more privacy than we expected. Beautiful sunsets and iguanas. Enjoyed both balconies. Kitchen was functional. Be sure to plan on cooking breakfast there. Not much around open for breakfast and markets are not close by. Wi-Fi was excellent. Owners were very responsive to all texts. Loved it.

The property was as described, good view of the water (we saw a pod of dolphins one morning), convenient to the pool. The property was secure. The king size bed was very comfortable and having the safe was very reassuring. The stair case is steep so my husband's touchy knee got a good work out (Ha!). The town home was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed our time on the island!

At Marazul Dive Resort 5b you can enjoy a very relaxing holiday. The house is very well located with beautiful views and the opportunity for swimming and snorkeling right in front of the house! The beautiful beaches can be reached in a few minutes.

My husband and I stayed at this property for 5 nights after spending 3 nights in Willemstad. It was a welcome break from the hustle and bustle! The far end of the island is very peaceful with many beautiful beaches. Marazul is a pretty, well maintained, quiet, gated community. It was fun meeting people from all over Europe, South America, and North America! Our condo was clean and comfortable. Everything was exactly as shown/described on the website. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Curacao (not sure about that, as the weather was very hot in early November).

The townhouse was great--clean and well furnished. It was super hot and you can't run the air all the time, so the huge floor fan was a great help. The property is really nice--beautiful pool and a great snorkeling area off the cliffs. Hugh and Carl provided awesome information. And you definitely need a car to get around.

The accommodations are excellent very clean. They have everything you need in townhome. The information package sent out by Hue and Carl was very helpful to make it easier for you. You did a great job. Marazul is very quiet and the grounds are kept clean. The pool is also very clean. We rented a car which was very handy to get around. We stayed a month and did not want to leave. Enjoyed the different beaches with our friends who stayed in a different town home on the property. Shopping was good as they have everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay. Weather was great. We did have some rain but not enough to spoil your time. We will visit again.

Just got back from two amazing weeks at Marazul 5B (end of Nov/early Dec 2016). Photos on VRBO accurately showed the unit and grounds at Marazul. Nothing in the posting was misleading. It was very quiet and relaxing and the neighbours were friendly and very helpful. The information package sent out by Hue and Carl was extremely detailed and useful. Contrary to the weather "forecasts" for the area the weather was exactly what one would expect from a Caribbean vacation - sunny and hot. The beaches were great with our favorite being close to home - Playa Grandi. Saw tons of cool things there including sea turtles and a bait ball. Favorite meal was Lionfish at Sol Food - also an excellent location to watch the sunset while you eat. After navigating around the island for a little while getting from one place to another is pretty simple but having a gps was helpful once we started looking for more obscure things in the "Big City." Overall we enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend Marazul 5B without hesitation. Thanks Hue and Carl for allowing us to stay in your home.

Bon Bini Curacao! We visited Curacao from September 23- October 1. I miss it daily. It was absolutely gorgeous during that time of year. The weather was consistently sunny, clear, and hot. The only anomaly was the birth of Hurricane Matthew, which brewed right around the Southern Caribbean. Hurricanes are a rarity in the Dutch Islands, and thankfully we were minimally affected. Prior to travelling (and packing), I did not know Curacao is literally a desert island. The trees on the island are comprised of various species of Cactus plants. Very different, but very “cool”. It is HOT and DRY. So prepare for just that. You will want to wear clothes than you can breathe and sweat in. Hue is one of the greatest hosts out there. She is kind, trustworthy, friendly, and attentive. I had an A+ experience working with her and I would highly recommend booking with Hue and Carl because you won't have to worry and you can rely on people who truly care about your vacation. Pre-vacation: Hue will send out an informational packet that she put together. It served as our bible on the island. It includes helpful resources on everything from traveling to the island, local car rental agencies, things to do (diving sites, beaches ((there are TONS)), great local restaurants, safety precautions, grocery stores, gas stations, and all the nooks and crannies in her home. I think vacationing to Westpunt, Curacao is for the adventurous spirit. You will definitely be on the remote end of the island. It is local and less touristy which we preferred. We went to the real touristy spots a couple days and did not enjoy it at all compared to our private oasis up North. You will need a car, but be careful...The road rules on the island are almost nonexistent and up to interpretation. Just drive carefully. At Marazul Dive Resort, the town home was quiet and quaint. The resort (this time of year) was not busy, not loud, and a total oasis. There are friendly iguanas all over and they love fruit and scraps. If you are looking for something new and different, then go with the Marazul Dive Resort. Thank you for everything Hue and Carl!!!

My wife and I visited Curacao for the 7th time and this was our second visit for New Years eve and it was a blast, I would go every year if we could. We spent our first 3 nights downtown at the Renaissance and then moved to the unit at the Marazul resort of Carl and Hue. We have stayed at other units in the resort, I must say that their unit was the most updated and convenient one we have stayed at. The unit had everything we needed to be comfortable and the kitchen was great with a really nice refrigerator, everything you need is at your disposal. We have a routine over the years of doing our own shopping before coming out and renting a car for getting around the island, and we go everywhere. We like to visit the local beaches and swim with the turtles after the local fisherman filet their catch in the morning. Out front of the resort is some great snorkeling, diving and swimming along with breath taking views. We visit the local restaurants with Sol Food being one of our favorites and if you like to mountain bike talk to David at the Sol Food. I cannot say enough about this beautiful Island it is my favorite after going to Aruba for years, we even have a timeshare their. So if your looking for a nice relaxing vacation where you have so many options of things to do then Curacao is the place to go. If your looking for a nice and quiet place to relax and recharge your batteries then rent Carl and Hues unit , we will be booking soon and hopefully it will be 2 weeks next time instead of one.

I want to thank you Carl and Hue, we enjoyed every day we spent at their villa in Marazul, on the beautiful island of Curacao. Our first visit to Curacao with our two boys of 6 and 5 years old. The villa was very confortable (for the 4 of us) and clean, pool was inviting for the whole family, we enjoyed the BBQ almost every night and had a really restful and refreshing stay. The owners gave us all the information we needed and even more, like a "home made" Curacao travel guide, really helpful for the active family we are. We wish to come back soon...

We first visited Curacao 2 years ago and enjoyed it so much that we chose to return to the same property, although a different unit this time. Owners Hue and Carl were lovely to deal with, responding quickly to all our queries. They provided a great package of things to see and do on the island as well. They have done a lovely job of decorating and upgrading their unit. The kitchen lacked for nothing, and everything was new and worked beautifully. All furnishings were very comfortable, including the outdoor patio sets where we spent much time. Having screened doors allowed for the incredible trade winds to blow through constantly. The only time we used the air conditioning was in the upstairs bedroom to sleep. The views from the unit were stunning and we loved having our breakfast outdoors while watching the many beautiful birds and hearing their song. Sunsets on the upper patio every evening are gorgeous and we enjoyed a number of dinners there. We were close to the pool without being right over it, and met many of our neighbours while there. The property manager, Rene, was always available to answer questions, and was very prompt to help us with a minor problem, and we were very pleased to see that Marazul as a whole has continued to be very well maintained. The flowers and shrubbery are gorgeous and in full flower, a sea ladder was added to the water entrance at the far end of the property while we were there, making entrance into the sea much easier. A car is a necessity at this end of the island, and we enjoyed visiting some of the nearby beaches (our favourite snorkelling spots being Playa Lagun, and Playa Kenepa Chiki , as well as Playa Grandi where the fishing boats come in and we snorkelled with loads of turtles of all sizes). We visited Shete Boka this time - definitely worth the visit. The ribs at Playa Lagun are fabulous and they will prepare them for take-out to enjoy at home later in the evening, Trio Penotti is a fabulous restaurant where we enjoyed two dinners, and Willemstad is only about 40 minutes away for major grocery stores and sightseeing. But it was always wonderful to return "home" to Marazul where it is much quieter and more peaceful! We would definitely recommend this rental unit. It has all the amenities and wonderful owners to deal with. Although we rarely repeat destinations, we hope to visit Marazul again in the future!

First trip to Curacao. We loved the island. Marazul is the perfect location for travellers looking for a tranquil location on the less developed side of the island. Beaches are beautiful quiet coves with excellent snorkeling in crystal clear water. The unit has been renovated and one the best equipped rentals I have stayed in. The view from the unit was breathtaking . Dining on the upper balcony was magic with the sunsets. The resort was landscaped with tropical flowers. Driving was easy and the car rent a must. The owners were a pleasure to deal with. They provided us with many helpful tips and maps to find the resort. We have spent many weeks in the Caribbean and this location and unit is definitely our favourite! We highly recommend this unit and resort. There was a grill, well equipped kitchen and many little extras that made it unique.

We loved everything about this beautiful home in Curacao. Though there was no beach on the property, there were many excellent beaches to choose from only minutes away. The pool was perfect. It was a perfect end to our day. Stairs leading to the ocean was perfect for snorkeling. Sunsets were spectacular. We did not miss one. The unit has been very nicely renovated and has everything you could possibly need. Loved having the water and ice dispenser. The view is breathtaking from both patios. Two full bathrooms!!! The property manager was very helpful and checked in on us every day. The grocery stores on the Island are very well stocked with fresh produce and meat. We enjoyed the outdoor grill every night. The owner, Hue was wonderful to correspond with and was always prompt in responding to questions. We highly recommend this property. Lise and Dave
