Janna made the check in process very easy. The house is comfortable and the neighborhood is quite. There are bikes to use and the backyard is really inviting. We enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for our family.

This home was large . The living space is on the second floor and adds a treehouse feeling.

We enjoyed our stay. Great central location to visit the Channel Islands as we cruised from both the Oxnard and Ventura harbor. We liked being close to the beach but for our kids we we drove to other beaches because the surf was strong. The house had plenty of options for sleeping and it was for sure the best bed/sheets I’ve ever had in a vacation home. The weather got cold so after the beach one day we all curled up on the big comfy couch and watched a movie. We had the best time.

We had a wonderful time hanging out, cooking, playing games and exploring the area! Great price too!

2 blocks from the beach! Plenty of room for us and the fur kids. It was a great base for us to do all our visiting from. We lived nearby for 20 years and it was just what we were looking for, looking forward to staying again.

We enjoyed our stay here. The only reason this is not a 5 star stay is two fold. We wished for a nicer view than sand dunes behind us. .. so know that first. And the kitchen was not well equipped for cooking in. Which is what we wanted to do. Other than that and a very high bed, don't look elsewhere... just be aware.

Very nice. Clean. Kitchen fully stocked, except we couldn’t find a toaster. Bikes we’re an added plus! So fun for the kids to ride to the beach! The only downside was the stairs were too much for the grandparents. Would be helpful if we knew earlier how steep they were. Thanks!

The house is beautiful - cozy and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and just a short distance to everything you could need. We really enjoyed our stay. We really enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset. We hope to be back soon!

We expected more for what we paid for our stay. The house needs to be remodeled, especially the kitchen. The kitchen cabinets next to the refrigerator were a mess as the content were just thrown in with no order. The counters were stained and peeling, the porcelain sink had multiple chips and the cabinet doors did not close (latch). The condition of the kitchen did not give us a good feeling that the place was highly maintained.There were six pages of house rules of which some should have been taken care of the cleaning crew (i.e., strip bed sheets and start washer. Never had to do this with other VRBO listings.). Taking care of the trash and recycling bins was also an issue as there was no labeling of them. Had to call Owner to figure which ones belonged to the place. If guests are responsible for some cleaning why the large cleaning fee? The images on VRBO were bright and inviting but, in reality, the place was dark and dreary. Location was convenient for a quiet relaxing vacation but would not stay there again.

The owner was great! Very responsive and had information all about the house and instructions for everything. My children loved playing in the sand in the backyard and I appreciated that it was completely fenced in.

This home was perfectly suited for our family needs on our recent trip to Ventura for a weekend wedding. We had 4 adults (my husband and I, our daughter and son-in-law, and 2 young granddaughters). The home was very comfortable, and had all necessary amenities. My granddaughters LOVED the bunk beds, and that bedroom was nicely appointed with books, games, toys, and some stuffed animals that the girls loved sleeping with! The beds in the other two bedrooms were very comfortable! The owners had bikes and sand toys, so all the girls took a short trip to the beach to play in the sand in the morning before the evening wedding. But I’d really like to recommend our host and homeowner Janna - without going into the specific details, I’d like to mention how accommodating she was to our special circumstances. She was friendly, helpful and prompt to respond. I definitely would recommend this property to anyone looking for a home to rent in this area!

My cousins and I had a wo derdul time at this house! It was so cozy, with lots of sleeping room ad a perfect backyard for barbecuing and sharing a drink in the sand. 30 doors from the beach and a nice quiet neighborhood. JP is a wonderful host and we would definitely recommend this house to everyone! Thank you!!

House was great fully equipped to handle our two families. The only complain no black out shades/drapes in bedrooms I woke up with the sun on our face. Black out shades or curtains are very necessary for a complete rest. Other than that house was amazing Love it!!

We stayed here and it was perfect for our family that was attending a wedding in Santa Paula. The place is well equipped and close to the beach. The neighborhood is very quiet. The only drawback would be no A/C as it was really warm and humid and the small fans did not help.

We stayed at the Beach House for a few days while my son moved into his new home. The house was clean, well-stocked and in a great location. It does state on the site that there is NO air conditioner and they did provide 3 fans, but we were there during a heat wave. I purchased 2 more fans. I would stay here again, but not in July.

We stayed for 2 nights with our kids and had a really wonderful trip! The house was clean and had everything we needed from a colander to a baby gate for the stairs. We really enjoyed the living room with the sliding doors that brought in a wonderful breeze. The beach is about a 2 minute drive away (and free parking!), but definitely walkable if you don't have kids, a wagon, a cooler and two beach bags with you. Will likely return next time we look to get away to the beach for a few days!

We had a most enjoyable stay. The home had everything one could wish for and we made good use of the easy access to the beach. It was a perfect home away from home
