We checked out of “The Cliff m after a 6-night stay. Our family loves to travel, especially in the Caribbean. We have stayed in Anguilla (LOVE) however, this was our first time in St.Martin. After deciding on the are we were most interested in, I researched villas, resorts, & hotels, ultimately deciding on The Cliff. Before booking, I contacted the property manager, John, to ask a few questions & express concerns over previous reviews. I made it clear that cleanliness and modern/updated accommodations are extremely important to our family. Three communications via email/text addressed this... & while the cancellation policy was still in place, I would rebook elsewhere if needed. John assured me that the furniture & bedding were to be updated. The Cliff is a gated resort in a great location overlooking beautiful ocean blue water. The layout of the 3 bed 3.5 bath condo was excellent. Mario’s restaurant was delicious! And location to town, restaurants, shopping, and beaches was perfect. BUT… Upon arrival the front desk couldn’t locate our reservation. After contacting the management company, they assigned our condo. Surprise- our unit on 2nd floor was not even close to being updated. Most of all of the furniture was worn, dirty, & dusty & in need of a good clean. Previous renter left bikini & personal hair in the shower.😳 John was snarky in his response saying "I should see the glass half full not empty"😱 Cliff was awesome but know the unit # before you arrive.

Beautiful condo - amazing view, just above the gym and indoor pool. Outdoor new infinity pool is amazing. Cable TV is useful, internet works fine. Very helpful staff - found an amazing masseuse from Marigot who gave my wife and brother in law a lot of muscle relief. The toilets are a bit weak, but this wasn’t a major obstacle. One shower door is loose and should be fixed. Mosquitoes were not an issue as I expected. Air Conditioning works well in all parts. We will likely rent this condo again - we were very happy with our stay.

Regardless of the condo in which you stay, The Cliff itself is an amazing property located on a cliff (thus, the name) overlooking the Caribbean with excellent amenities, security, and privacy. Our condo overlooked the infinity pool and the clear, turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea - which was its saving grace. Considering the over all cost of the rental, the condo was in dire need of an update and a thorough, deep clean. For example, some of the kitchen appliances were in need of repair (the refrigerator ice maker didn't work) and without a garbage disposal, the kitchen sink backed up. Add to that, the kitchen wasn't as well equipped as we had anticipated (e.g., no sharp knives, a manual can opener, or a metal baking sheet). Also, the shower in the one room facing the tennis court backed up as soon as the water hit the shower floor, but we weren't made aware we could contact The Cliff maintenance staff with any repair issues. So, my husband took it upon himself to clean out the drain, from which he pulled a substantial amount of hair and gunk. Additionally, some of the furniture was dirty and a bit shabby. However, I am not saying we did not enjoy our stay. As three close couples, we managed to work around the inconveniences and cleanliness issues. Nonetheless, I do hope the owner reviews the validity of my comments and acts accordingly.

The Cliff is a terrific building to stay in with great water views and a new pool overlooking the water. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for top quality accommodation.

Everything was perfect

The unit and the building are great. The unit has unobstructed and dramatic views of the ocean. The unit has plenty of space for a family of 4-5. While Cupecoy Beach is steps from the building, it does not have a lot of beachfront and is not great for an all day beach day. Fortunately, Mullet Bay Beach is a short walk and it has 2 good beach bars and places you can rent chairs. Additionally, there is an excellent restaurant inside the Cliffs called Mario’s. In summary, I would highly recommend the unit and the building.

We loved it here. The views are amazing from the villa. It was clean, so spacious, and just overall amazing!

The 3 bedroom unit we rented was just what we needed for a relaxing ladies trip. Staff was very nice and accomdations were spacious. The unit washing machine was broken during our stay but I'm sure it will be repaired soon.

My vacation was amazing! The Cliff is a wonderful rental property with picturesque views upon entrance. We absolutely loved our villa and the ocean views are serene! The property was well stocked with light refreshments and snacks. Also, if you were in need of any additional quick pick me up groceries there is a small market up the street. I recommend this villa for your stay in St. Martin. I would definitely return. Thank you to the host for making our experience an unforgettable one.

The cliff was a beautiful high end place to stay right next to the best beach being mullet bay beach & Maho beach. Even had the best Italian restaurant in st maarten. Host was very helpful

Even though we could not go on our vacation due to COVID, John was still very helpful through the whole booking process. He answered lots of questions and was very flexible with allowing us to hold a credit until we can reschedule our trip. I can't wait to be able to actually go on this trip and stay at this lovely property!

The building is beautiful and the condo is spotless. The kitchen equipment left a little to be desired (no spatula, wine opener, or sharp knives), but Katell was wonderful and responsive. I will give Sint Maarten a few more years to recover from Irma, but will definitely be back!

Easy to rent. The property manager told me what was renovated since the hurricane. The lobby was beautiful. Workers still renovating the tennis court and spa. Lobby bar opened on Dec 26th.

I can not say enough great things about this condo and The Cliff. This was our first Homeaway experience and we could not have been more impressed. The manager goes out of their way to give us as much information and recommendations about the island as possible. The response time was very fast and everything was exactly or better than advertised and promised. The amenities, extra toiletries, towels, beach gear and etc were awesome. The inside is modern and comfortable. We also really enjoyed the indoor pool and jacuzzi. I can not say enough good things about the managers and this condo, you won't be disappointed.

The condo is spacious, delightful and has a beautiful view toward the ocean and brilliant sunsets. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils. The most memorable part of our vacation...the extraordinary responsiveness of our host, John. He was always quick to respond to text questions, offered ideas about where to go, where to eat and what to see. I trust you will enjoy your time in this beautiful condo as much as our group did.
