This was by far one of the nicest vacation spots we’ve ever rented. We immediately felt at home because Brian and Cathie have created a space that has everything you could ever need. The welcome muffins as soon as we got there were just one of the touches that made us feel so very welcome. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

The rental was exactly as advertised. It's a beautiful, very clean and new condo with a comfortable king size bed in a quiet area right at the water with beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was well equipped with one needs to cook a meal.
Brian was a great host. He was very welcoming and provided helpful info about the area and tips on what to do. His wife even sent us some freshly baked muffins.
It's a short walk to a quiet beach and there's a very nice hiking trail through the woods behind the house.
We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend the place!

A lovely cottage on the hill overlooking Eagle Head Bay on a dead end road. The house is very nicely decorated with a folk art feel and Cathie has made many beautiful rug hook wall hangings, pillows etc. Brian is as sweet and genuine a host as you could ever ask for and all his recommendations for sights to see and places to eat were spot on. Both he and Cathie were very gracious hosts, the cottage is in a perfect location for exploring and to come back to for a glass of wine at the end of the day. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved our 8 days at this cottage. The location was perfect for us, practically at the end of a quiet road and directly in front of the ocean. It was a short walk to the beautiful Eagle Head beach accessible at low tide. Seeing the seals so close on the rocks was a thrill. Beach Meadows Beach which has to be one of the very best beaches on the South Shore is just a short drive. And we found delicious sourdough bread at the Five Girls Baking Bakery in Liverpool, perhaps 20 minutes away. The cottage itself is super clean, with a great mix of comfortable, quality furniture in a whimsical decor. The kitchen is filled with beautiful dishes and all the cookware, tools and kitchen gadgets you could want. The hosts, Brian and Cathie are very congenial, helpful and at the same time, respectful of your privacy. We had a perfect stay!

we had a wonderful time at "Surf's up'. The house is very clean and has a modern look.
The view is fantastic and for someone who looks for a very quiet spot this is a place to go for.
The owner is very helpful and gives good recommendations what needs to be visited. Some places they mentioned wouldn't be visited without their help because they are hidden.
So all in all well deserved five stars.

Our stay at the Mourre's property at Eagle Head is something my wife and I will always treasure and never forget. First and foremost, they are wonderful people and the best hosts ever. The cottage is spotless and decorated perfectly. A short walk to a quiet beach. An easy drive for food, gas, restaurants, and provisions. I could go on and on. Thanks Brian and Cathie!!!

Surf's Up, in Eagle Head Bay, was a wonderful place to stay! Brian was so welcoming on our arrival. Property was immaculate inside and out. The one-level house was open and airy, tastefully decorated and equipped with absolutely everything one could need, including cookies and snacks on arrival! Views were wonderful with easy walking access to beach from the property and to beautiful Beach Meadows beach nearby. A quiet and restful spot to return to after exploring the South Shore. Highly recommend this property and hope to return for another visit. Thanks Brian and Cathie!!!

The property is dazzlingly clean, and architecturally pretty. The property is a long-ish drive from major tourist sites. But is consequently also very quiet.

A lovely spot, we were perfectly happy here spending a few days. The hospitality of the host was beyond compare, he made us feel like friends we have known for years. Everything was exactly how it should be, from the comfy bed to the well-appointed kitchen. Spotlessly clean. The area was great to explore & Brian gave us wonderful suggestions on where to go and eat. We have done a lot of VRBO stays and this was one of the best. The ride from the ferry in Yarmouth was longer than expected, so we didn't take the time to go to the Bay of Fundy, which was on the other side so that was a bit disappointing. But the property was great.

Great location for anything on the south shore! The cottage is tucked away on a quiet street right along a beautiful bay. Brian was super friendly and a big help with areas to see or things to do! Great beaches to visit all within short driving distance. Two grocery stores 15 mins away made it super easy to stock up. Highly recommend staying here!!!

Top notch property in a quiet location. Looks brand new. Host is in a home in front of the property and is very helpful with info on the area. Loved the king size bed. Beautifully decorated as well.

What a great spot for a getaway. The location is perfect with amazing views of the bay and several great beaches close by. The patio is a great spot to listen to the waves or the birds or take in a sunset. Brian and Cathie are excellent hosts, super friendly with lots of great advice (we LOVED the LaHave Bakery!). And the cottage was SPOTLESS, amazingly clean and very well outfitted with every kitchen appliance and gadget you could want. This was our second time staying here and we’ll definitely be back for more. Super relaxing trip.

Upon arrival we were warmly greeted. The property is all 2 people could ask for. In addition, we were there the week hurricane Fiona passed through. The host ensured the generator was started when the power went out. A most enjoyable week

Hosts were available, helpful and interested in us having a good experience.
Accommodation was clean, well stocked with supplies (food condiments, towels, etc), and all equipment was functional (oven, window latches, lights, etc).
It was obvious the hosts were concerned that we enjoyed our visit. We DID.

Then photos do not do this one justice. The upper floor above the garage offers spectacular views of the bay. The deck gets full on sun but the sea breezes come in to cool you off. The cottage itself is probably the cleanest we have yet to stay in! The king bed is super comfy, and everywhere is some interesting piece of art or ornament .
The kitchen has a well-stocked pantry and fridge; top quality appliances and is very bright. Brian and Cathy were there to welcome us, answer any questions, then left us to ourselves. All in all, a very recommendable accommodation. Rating…10

Excellent location, waking up to a view of the ocean and relaxing to a view of the sunset in the evening. A great beach to walk on, very close to the property, along with a great walking trail to explore through the woods. Amazing hosts, Brian / Cathy, have a wealth of knowledge of the area and are available for any questions. Lots of locations for great meals and to explore within a short drive. Would love to come back in the future.

Begin and end each day with a serene waterfront view from the delightful and charming guesthouse. It has well-appointed decor, is very clean, and provides everything you would need (full kitchen and cookware, full bathroom with plenty of towels and supplies). We took daily walks on the beach, enjoyed bird songs, and watched the tides roll in and out. Absolutely a dream vacation!

Eagle Head “Surfs Up”
An outstanding property located on the beautiful south shore! Everything about our stay there exceeded our expectations- the accommodations, the view, the location and the surrounding area. Lots of great walks (including Brian’s trail through the woods) and bike rides available right from the front door!
Brian and Cathie are fantastic hosts - hopefully we’ll make it back again some day! Cheers

Surf's Up third visit... South Shore Great Find
Property is immaculate, clean, well equipped, everything you'd possibly need. It is a great location with a wonderful view that keeps us coming back, owners (Brian and Cathy) are very helpful and obliging. Always have suggestions about what to see or do in the area. There is tons to see and do in almost every direction. Even your own hiking trail on the property. WONDERFUL.

A restful retreat
We found that this property was everything that we were looking for in a getaway spot for a few days of recharging the batteries. The house itself was modern, clean, and had a wow factor being so close to the ocean. The owners, Brian and Cathie, had a career in home building and the property shows their attention to detail. I would recommend it to everyone.

Beautiful cottage on the ocean
The cottage was perfect for our running getaway weekend. The location was very peaceful and the large windows let us enjoy the ocean scenery. The hosts were very kind and friendly. Thanks so much for allowing us to view your rug hookings Cathie. They are very impressive. I couldn't resist a purchase or two. The property was pet friendly which was great as we brought our dog along. Hope to return in the near future.

Perfect Getaway on South Shore
Stayed 3 nights at Surf’s Up for Thanksgiving 2021. The place was ready, immaculate, with lots of special touches. It is beautifully decorated - featuring some of Cathie’s amazing fabric art (which is for sale BTW!). Well stocked kitchen with quality items. Very comfortable mattress on well-dressed bed. So quiet we left windows open to welcome cool fall breeze. Fire pit was great and well placed to enjoy water view - which was also enjoyed off the deck. Lots of amazing beaches to walk. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Thank you to Brian & Cathie.

South shore gem!
Surfs up is the perfect home-away-from-home. This was our second stay and Brian and Cathie continue to provide a wonderful property where we felt relaxed and welcome. The guest house is a lovely, well appointed and spotless cottage with a wonderful ocean view.
The location was very central for our purpose of exploring numerous south shore attractions including the many nearby beaches...although the view from the comfy king size bed was pretty hard to leave in the mornings.
Brian and Cathie are excellent hosts, accessible and so informative about the area. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We miss your little piece of paradise and hope to be back soon.

Fantastic spot!
This is a very beautiful place for a couple. We were there for 2 weeks and loved every minute of it. The views are fantastic and so much to do in the area. The hosts are super responsive and you have everything you need in the rental. Very well equipped. I have nothing but good things to say and highly recommend to anyone.
